DH wanted carry out Fazoli’s yesterday. I confess, I ate two of the blankety blank bread sticks, so all in all too many calories and very heavy on the carbs. But my weekly average is still below goal And I have today completely laid out. All good. It’s gorgeous and cool, so I’m off to the Rivergreenway for a long walk. Happy Friday, all!

I fed my popcorn habit but no other snacks yesterday — yay! It’s cool and overcast today (so far) so I’m off for a walk and then planning more garden maintenance. We’re having our patio enlarged — the base went in yesterday for concrete tomorrow, so I’m plotting where to put another flower bed, a hydrangea, and a few other things. 😁

Just can’t let go! Apparently I’m nicely settled in ~181 and my fat doesn’t want to shift. It’s ok, I know if I persist I’ll suddenly drop. I “feel” lighter, so I try to cling to that feeling when the scale doesn’t move (or moves the wrong way!). Anyway, I have a low-cal day and plenty of exercise planned. All good! And our patio expansion continues (and finishes) today with new concrete. Yay! Have a great Monday!

Soon after I started eating low carb, they were naysayers who said it was unsustainable) a friend asked my husband what size (free) T-shirt he wanted from one of the casinos. My husband’s smart aleck reply was “women’s small.” So that is what friend got him. They gave it to us and when I held it up to myself, they said well, I could give it to one of our teen granddaughters. I made up my mind that I was going to fit in that shirt! I have tried it on several times in the last 2.5 years, as recently as a couple of days ago. It has fit for some time and now is on the loose side! You CAN do this!5

06/26 181.2 My scale tricked me. Started to show a low 180 number then flipped up to this. 😝
06/27 182.4 Did this to myself. Late night binge. Partly because I didn’t have my usual snacks in the house so I didn’t have a good low calorie satisfier. And partly because it was a massive week at work and this was my “I’m done, I deserve to eat” reaction. Meal planning, grocery shopping and meal prep today!!

Just joined last round, but the addition to my morning routine of weighing in, logging my weight in MFP, and now posting here to reflect has been helpful! I wasn’t posting here for rounds 115 or 116, but I started tracking my weight and calories during those periods, so I’ve added my weights then for consistent tracking.

6/26: 229.2 I was under goal on my calories yesterday, so this increase is probably really the result of all those extra fast food calories the day before, since we all know scale changes aren’t instant or linear. Back on track yesterday and going forward to make sure it isn’t a permanent increase.
6/27: 229.0 Moving in the right direction. Couldn’t get outside to exercise yesterday due to air quality issues, so I only had the exercise bike. Did a little bit earlier in the day, but I almost broke my streak of completing all of my Apple Watch activity rings until I decided to get back on at 10:45 to finish up. Promptly had a satisfying late night snack to eat up those calories, so I finished just barely under goal.
6/28: 230.0 A full pound up, which is...annoying. Got some stressful news yesterday and spent a while fixated on it, then ordered low effort/high calorie dinner. After exercise, I was almost exactly at what should be my maintenance calories, since I was at -749 and my goal is set to lose 1.5 pounds per week for a deficit of 750. I understand an uptick on the scale due to high sodium and the recent big meal, but it feels more than “deserved.” Especially when a bigger splurge last week only popped an extra 0.2 on the scale. I know, it’s not linear or immediate, trust the process, etc.
6/29: 228.6 A little mini-whoosh to put me back where I was before this round started. Yesterday was on track, just keeping things going.
6/30: 227.8 Now we’re talking! Finally some actual loss showing up since the start of the round. A couple of splurge days could disguise the overall trend for a little while, but they didn’t actually stop it.

I'm jumping in mid-challenge. You all were there for me a couple of years ago, and I had lost 13 pounds. One of my coworkers saw me logging on a sticky app and commented on how obsessive it seemed. Well, if that's what it takes, there are worst things to be obsessive about.
Besides losing weight, I want to focus on being physical since I'm now teaching from home stuck behind a computer. I've been strength training twice a week. I love seeing the muscle definition! I need to incorporate walking or running (I bought a fitbit for a reason, right?) and some yoga.

06/26: 191.2 - I had a decent day yesterday. Had 23k steps and drank a few beers during my 2 sand volleyball games.. could’ve done better but could’ve been a lot worse! Hoping to hit the 180s this round.
06/27: 191.4- I’m completely fine with that. I try to do maintenance and relax on my diet a bit on the weekends. Didn’t eat the best and had a few drinks but was a good maintenance day!
06/28: DNW- today is my rest day. I did good yesterday and only ate 1400 calories while burning 1100 through exercise.
06/29: 192.2 ugh self sabotage.. I did so good on Friday and Saturday. Sunday came along and wine, nachos, wine, cupcakes, wine and more wine... ugh I think Sunday’s are hard for me because I hate going to work on Monday lol. Oh well 1 bad day out of 7 is a win. Back to the grind today.

Had lots of issues with depression and stress with corona, postponing my wedding, and especially having my department defunded and needing to find a job. Tracking here always helped me to stick with my goals, so I'm jumping in mid challenge and hoping for the best.
06/30 - 191.8... I don't really know what's happening to cause me to have such a big up. I was very good about eating yesterday and did a lot of exercise. Maybe it's water retention from the sudden switch back, I'm not sure. But it certainly was disappointing. Still, trying to do my best to diet and exercise today and hope for a downswing soon. Had a good run already and so far have been eating responsibly, so I'd say it's a good day so far!

70 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
We used to walk 5 miles a day. A pinched nerve and back surgery side-lined me for about a year. Then I had hip surgery March 10th. Recovery is slow. Sure do want to be back doing 5 miles a day!
