Round 119 - Started MFP and 10-Day Challenge 12/27/19 - 186.0 (Heaviest weight ever!) I'm happy to have lost 10 pounds, but, man, it has taken a long time but mainly because I keep losing the same pounds over and over again.
Goal this round:
Do NOT eat sugar or white flour. These are my downfall. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I eat healthy most days except when I go on a binge for days. And what causes my binges/cravings? sugar and white flour
07/06 - 175.1 Huh? Too much salt, not enough water the past few days.

Hello! I decided to do this challenge because it gives me another place where I can keep myself accountable. Plus I like how the rounds are 10 days so it makes this journey more manageable! My hubby is tracking with me so I'm not alone in this!💪

Hello everyone! This challenge works the best for me, as it keeps me accountable. I was on here in 2018 and all of you helped me keep on track tremendously. I am trying to get into exercising more regularly again and lose a few lbs. that have crept back on in the last year. Trying to get back into the habit of exercising and keeping at it. I think my maintenance goal weight should be between 110 to 114 lbs. I will start weighing myself from tomorrow. Good luck to everyone for this round!

Ready for round 119 {56th for me}
OSW 88KG
RSW 61.05 (-26. 95kg) or {59.4lbs}
I reached my ultimate goal of 58kg last round then totally sabotaged myself ending up the biggest I've been this year! Goal this round is to get under 60kg.
07/06 61.05kg and a fresh start. It's Monday. It's Independence Day 🇲🇼 and I've worked out even though it's a holiday. Back on it counting every calorie and every carb.
07/07 60.45kg. It did go to 60.15 but I'll save that for tomorrow🤞🏽! Kept it all good yesterday and beat the snacking demon. Need to do the same again today.

JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS ~|~ Round 119 (round 51 for me ) I'm in for another round (of course!) – I need to just keep going! Yet again thank you @GrandmaJackie, such a champion particularly in these unprecidented times, helping keep some stability in our lives, for setting up these challenges.
Female age 62 5' 4” - Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and have gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then; I don't want to gain any more, but would like to get back to my goal weight – I'm working at it – it's a permanent way of life !
Goal – get back to 132 for this round.... - aim to get back to & stick with good habits: be mindful of what I eat & drink, keep walking, no binges, really want to keep the 10 days binge free! Keep calm, wash hands, be kind and follow all latest Government guidelines for C-19 virus.End of round 69 134.2 lbsKeep calm – we're all in this together!

Looking forward:
I'm just too danged cussed to let this thing knock me back, and ruin all the effort I have put in to get here. I am stepping up my routine, and taking control. Sheltering in place means I can fully concentrate on getting in my exercise, and preparing healthy food.
Aims:
- June: focus on maintaining and increasing my progress
- 2020: Goal is to stabilise weight around 145
- Strengthen strategies to reframe the tendency to use unhealthy snack food as a reward/treat.
- Make sure I have prepared healthy snacks available
- Cut down on eating between meals by keeping busy
Back Story:2018 goal: get back down to 160 ✅JGM10D ~|~ Round 118 🔹Posting weight and comments each evening.
2019 goal: proceed down to 150 ✅ with 2 months to spare
2020 goal: maintain below 150 dropping slowly down to 145 ✅ So far, so good.
That's a WIN in my book!
2020
Focus: maintenance! I might even manage to lose a bit more ever so slowly.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

07/06–177.2 I’m pretty pleased with my control over the holiday weekend. I did make a dessert for the 4th, but worked it into my calories for the day (two actually) and continued to lose a little along the way. That’s progress. No self-sabotage on this holiday weekend! I’ll call that a win!
07/07–176.2 Got up early to get my walk in before it became a scorcher of a day here yesterday. Then I managed to stay under in calories despite giving in to some fresh made tortilla chips my daughter brought over—they were still warm! Drank lots of water though yesterday, and will need to do that again today to combat that salt. Still may bounce back up a bit, but at least I’m very happy with the trend right now!

About me:I love learning about food and everything about it; from the way it acts in the body to learning to cook a new recipe. I went to school for nutrition (got my bachelor's) but I didn’t become an RD because it didn’t feel like the path for me. I guess I wanted to keep it as more of an interest instead of a career. I then went into public health to further my education and I currently help medically complex patients by connecting them with community resources to improve their health and life. I enjoy helping family and friends when they ask for advice related to food and nutrition. Plus, it helps me brush up on what I spent so much time learning!
I’m here because when I’m not paying attention to what I eat, I start to gain and feel uncomfortable in my body. For me that results in frustration and a lot of other emotions. It has also increased my cholesterol in the past (It’s good now as far as I know thanks to diet and exercise). I have a family history of diabetes, heart disease, and all that fun stuff. So, I want to prevent that for myself by getting a hold of my food habits now.
I’m always open to conversation about food and nutrition, so feel to reach out to me!
07/06116.6 Happy Monday everyone! This morning we did a good soccer workout for some exercise. Today is our produce CSA day and I’m looking forward to all the fun fruits and vegetables we’ll be picking up!
07/07 116.2 Hi! Not sure if the weight is right but I’ll go with it. I had the same number for like 5 days so I took one of the scale batteries out and put it back in which resulted in this number after it reading 116.6 minutes beforehand. Yesterday was fun picking up the CSA. This week we got summer squash, zucchini, kousa squash, peas, beets with greens, hakurei turnips with greens, kale, spigariello, green leaf lettuce, a cucumber, a small tomato, basil, scallions, strawberries and apples.
We went for a nice walk this morning coming in at 5ish miles. Today my sister in law and I will go pick up our monthly meat CSA which will be another fun adventure of new food options in the house! Not sure what’s on the agenda for dinner tonight except that I want to have some watermelon and feta cheese salad. I love that salty sweet combo! Have a good day everyone!
I added a picture of our pick up from the csa yesterday. This is considered their small share.

Hi @kblanc14 Wow, nice! I was reading about CSA's in Maine/NH, and was wondering, are you supporting multiple farms or is this bounty from one farm. Such a variety with the fruit as well. I thought maybe multiple farms. We don't do a CSA but buy our vegetables and meat from a local farmer. It is amazing how much better the meat is than what you buy in the grocery store - no comparison, and his prices are competitive, which I would gladly pay more to support local farming and for the quality any day.
I saw your post about roasting radishes which I'll have to give it a try. Never thought of roasting them - I don't like them raw.
Thanks for sharing. Great way to support the farmers and to have a fresh, variety of vegetables/fruit. Debra

Good Luck, I know you'll do it, and thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks @fmfdfa2020 ~ so appreciate the encouragement. And you're right, I am determined! Like many others, lockdown has me looking at life and myself with new eyes. Hi Debra! Thanks! I get our produce CSA from Farmer Dave's out of the Dracut, Mass area. They have 2 or 3 properties but it's all within the same small business. With our area, it's hard to have all the farm space in one spot due to all the housing development, so I suspect that's why they have multiple farm properties. The apples and berries are also from their farms but I read on their website that when they are low on some fruit they will supplement our fruit CSA with some other local farmers who practice the way they do. I'm so glad I chose to do both the fruit and vegetable shares. As far as I can tell from their website, that their vegetables are only from their farm.
Here's their website in case you're curious. They have fun resources too for recipe ideas!

Then we get our monthly meat CSA from Chestnut Farm's and pick it up a couple of towns over from us. Their farm is out in western Mass.
I feel similar about radishes as you do, I did find that eating them raw with a creamy yogurt dip has helped to lessen the bite, which makes it more enjoyable for me. Roasting them is my favorite though because it changes the flavor completely and mellows them a ton.4 -

7/6: 226.0 First day of getting back to strict tracking after a couple looser days produces a nice drop on the scale. Still feeling a little bloated, so we’ll see what happens in another day or two.
7/7: 227.0 Had a hefty late night snack around 1 AM, so I’m not surprised to see a bump despite technically being within my calories. Walked a ton but ate most of the calories back.
