Here the doctors and nurses are pleading with us to just have immediate household for Thanksgiving. We are going to celebrate it on Tuesday because our son works on Thursday as of now. I am hoping they temporarily shut down the casino where he works. We will need to take extra precautions when he is here because of his job It is just too important to see him after losing his brother. He is the only one I will spend time socially. I do still go to store and walk Drew. In store always masked up, gloves, and glasses. I do walk Drew outside without mask but I do make sure I stay away from others.

Where my sister works at an assisted living home, they have had covid out breaks from workers that also work at the Indian casino(they don't have to follow the same rules at the casino as the rest of the county I guess). Those workers who have tested positive and are now back at work are supposed to only work in the covid wing and come and go from the back entrance, not go into the main lobby, but they have been seen hanging out in the front lobby. They are not being careful and the other workers are paying the price- testing every three days, temp checks at least 2-3 times a day. She is not allowed to go into the building on her day off, wears mask/face guard/gloves/etc and is working 12 hr shifts 5-6 days a week. She looks beyond exhausted.

Allie - I know it sounds awful, but the good news is they found out what is wrong and they can fix it. I have great faith in those heart surgeons. You will be amazed at how much energy you have when you are all healed up. Sending lots of love and hugs. <3<3<3
And just think, you definitely made the right judgement call. :) Well done. <3

Oh, Allie, my dear girl - it's not what you wanted, I know, but at least the medicos finally got on the ball and got you a diagnosis and a plan of action. I so hope there is someone there that can help - Tom and Elena come to mind. You've certainly been there enough for them (and Homer, and Tom's dad). Ask for help, Allie. Thinking of you...

Lanette – what I’m looking for is a pedometer/time of day (watch)/gives calories burned. Right now I’m looking at the Realalt 3D pedometer. I’d like something that I can just put in my pocket. See, on some of my pants, the pockets aren’t very deep so a cell phone just barely fits. I don’t care for the way the Fitbit looks, I think all of them are on the wrist and that’s just never appealed to me. I’m afraid (because this happened to me once) that if I have something that clips onto the waist, I will lose it. I just looked at the link you gave. Hey! That’s the same one I’m looking at!!!! GMTA, that’s for sure. How do you like yours? How difficult is it to change the battery?

A friend sent these to me and I hate to say it -- but what is it used for? The three screws on the top is what's throwing me off. Is it a wall decoration? She painted it. It's of the four seasons, two on one side and two on the other

I would buy a temperature gauge and mount it on the one with the beach. Yep she repurposed some fan blades as her canvas. Maybe a hook for keys, or leave open for the swan one. The three mounting holes are just there because that was how it was connected to the fan middle. Nice!

Hugs ladies! Its a cold sunny day here, supposed to get another wind storm soon. I will make a dinner meal early just in case.
Sheared husband today, with the clippers. They have certainly paid for itself in the long run. I gave him a #2 so husband stated, "you made me look like an old man". To that I reply, "um you are an old man". I even went over the head with the electric clipper and a comb, to get any strays. I have a long drape to put around him and everything. Professional and everything. Until I exclaim, "um how do you turn this on"? Then my professionalism went totally out the window....
Days are starting to meld together......The only distinction between one day to the next is what we watch on TV, who wins on Sumo, and what we eat.
Oh last night I yelled at the Sumo wrestlers like I was at a football game. I know I could NEVER attend one live, I would embarrass myself, and they'd politely escort me out the facility.....
I bought some boozy eggnog, and had a glass last night. Though it had lots of ice cubes I managed to achieve a wallop of a headache this morning....I am such a lightweight....
Today I prepped the rest of the kielbasa sausages, and a handful of tri colored shredded cabbage. I added my hot spices and managed to stain my fingers with turmeric Aaack! I added chicken stock and had a bowlful.
Husband and I watched The Big Sleep, a 1978 film with Robert Michum, James Stewart, and Christopher Reed. Also that gal from that "who shot JR series"....you know whats her name...lol! With all the makeup!

    Hugs All!

(((Allie))) Prayers said for you. Know that the Good Lord is there for you. We will all stand by your side.

Those might look good in your Florida condo as they have a certain beachy look.

Got a shot in my shoulder today and hoping the pain will go away. Xrays saw no real damage and it is probably tendonitis. More blood work at other doc and will see how that comes out.

Debbie -that is crazy! We all have to do our part to keep it down and each other safe.

Allie - I will be keeping you in my daily thoughts and prayers

Rebecca - I have been shearing my husband with #2’s for 29 years :) Oh that turmeric I actually wear plastic gloves now when I have to touch it!

Carol - I’m sure that shot will help

I don’t know who posted the fireplace but it looks lovely and warm

Sue - Oh my goodness those goats are adorable!!

Cathy - that is scary! Stay safe

Well I did get a walk in although it was very cold and windy. I also put plastic on my windows as we rent and they are not well insulated. It will definitely save us heat and money! Granddaughter is over tomorrow so will try to catch up when she goes home. She’s 3 and trying to get anything done is a challenge :)

Oh, I wanted to add a few recommendations for a movie and books that I have recently enjoyed.

Movie: The Etruscan Smile, I rented it on Amazon Prime, but is also available on the cable channel Starz.

    212owvc6ldol.jpeg

Books: Both by Beatriz Williams, ‘Her Last Flight’ and ‘The Secret Life of Violet Grant’. I borrowed the e-book version of ‘Her Last Flight’ from my library.

Cathy we have the same problem here both with crime and COVID. You are right to work on getting gut biome working well. I know you are doing keto but is there a way to up your fiber. Fiber is good for building a healthy gut. I drink Kombucha daily to get my probiotics. I mentioned it here before I got the Swine Flu a month after going to Mexico where my gut got messed up. Your gut is part of having a strong immune system. Since you just had a colonoscopy you will need to add fiber slowly.

I think the fact my gut is why I got such a bad case of the Swine Flu. This is part of why since March I have been super cautious.

People here are losing patience with all the stress from COVID and economy being so fragile. Hence a rise in crime.

Take care and stay safe. Our Governor in Minnesota will probably close us down within a few days. We are getting about 5000 new cases a day. Our hospitals are getting swamped like so many across the nation.

Part of my stress relief is to walk Drew 3 to 4 times a day. I go on FACEBOOK and share travel pictures I get sent, garden pictures, and ones I think are funny. My friends on FACEBOOK do the same. This keeps me on an even keel.

I also hope to start painting again. Singing with a group will have to wait.

Stay well and safe my friends
