What's Your Most Recent NSV

A couple for me recently:
1. A combo SV and NSV: Despite Thanksgiving, I still lost 1 lb this week! I made healthier versions of foods, and even though I ate quite a bit, I didn't exceed maintenance that day, or overindulge to the point of binging, so I'm proud of myself!
2. I've always loved dressing up: clothing experiments, Halloween, costumes, all that... but when I got big, it stopped being fun for me because I hated how I looked. For the first time in years, I bought a couple of costumes for my own amusement - and I don't look half-bad! I plan to get more over time, in smaller sizes of course12 -
Realizing that weighted lunge twists/rotational lunges are, in fact, a functional exercise that can be used in real life. How? For when your queen-sized bed (which you've placed in the corner of your room for the headboard to be underneath the window so that you can fall asleep looking at moon rays and wake up looking at sunrays) needs to be moved.
The large carpet that my bed sits on needed to be shifted so getting in the corner and behind the headboard in order to pull the carpet meant I needed to deep lunge, twist my upper body, reach down and pull that sucker.
I dunno how much it all weighs (maybe ~80lb since I took off the mattress) but the fact that it required body contortion in a small space and I didn't think twice about it? NSV

The pants that fit but were tight are now fitting, and not noticeably tight. Moving in the right direction!13

Decided to set my expectations to maintenance for the week and actually maintained! I made mostly goal-oriented food choices, but didn't pass up food I LOVED (hello, southern-made buttermilk biscuits!). My only food-based regret was some gas station Hostess Swiss Rolls which were 410 calories of wax and chocolate flavoring.15

My formerly too tight jeans are now my stay-up-only-because-of-the-belt jeans. My Fitbit needs to be another notch tighter. My resting heart rate has lowered.21

Ran my first sub-30 minute 5k on Thanksgiving!!!26
-
Down to only 2 double chins17

One of my supervisors said I looked good. She stared at me trying to figure out what changed. I was caught off guard because normally I don’t get compliments on looks and could only say thank you.15

I got through the Thanksgiving holiday without gaining weight for like the first time in my adult life. While it is a scale thing, it's the scale confirming I got through without gaining despite crap family stress, Covid isolation stress, crap travel food, and huge meals.
I'm counting it an NSV because it is really a behavior win, because I avoided deep stress eating and binging. Yay!22 -
I put on my shorts this past weekend and they kept falling down far enough that I needed a belt15
-
My husband told me that I look thinner even though the scale hasn’t moved much this month. Plus my clothes are fitting more loosely around my waist, while my shoulders are more defined. My coat is a little looser around my hips. All good motivators to keep going though the scale is barely moving. But I haven’t been drinking enough and keep eating salty things, so I think that’s why.16

My boss commented this morning that I must be doing well on my diet because he's noticed that I've lost weight. I've only lost 10lbs so, not much but, I guess people are noticing.12

Today I crossed the line on the BMI Index from 'overweight' to 'normal'. Its only a 0.1 drop on the index but it is a HUGE mental and emotional victory. Its been 30 years since the last time I was 'normal' !55

Just in the beginning of my journey, but my thighs don´t feel so mushy anymore. I keep poking myself in the thighs all the time just to feel them out And my hip bone comes out when lying down.19

I haven't started a formal exercise program yet, but I have been trying to move more/get more steps in since September. I haven't lost any weight, so I was pleasantly surprised today that a pair of jeans that normally only fit when I'm about eight pounds lighter actually fit now.20

Not really a victory, but it’s definitely fun so I want to share it today after entering in my after dinner snack I hit my calorie goal spot on. I wasn’t just “under” or even over by 10cal, I was dead even spot on and that’s never happened before. I know that one minor error in measuring throws that off and it’s highly unlikely that my true intake is ever exactly what’s entered. Still, seeing the number break dead even instead of having 20, 5, or whatever number calories to spare was pretty fun. It caught me by surprise24

Just FYI, 0 calories remaining means that if you close your diary, the post on your news feed will NOT say you stayed under your calorie goal 🤪3 -

That is such a great feeling and really shows what a bit of movement can do: congratulations!5 -
I bumped into my friend Ann, who is a portrait photographer. She noticed my weight loss, and also mentioned my face looks different. I looked in the mirror, and it's because you can now see my cheekbones!14

It's not my most recent but the one that gave me my first boost of motivation. There was a time when I had to bend over to see my feet. After I had been following my plan for a while, I was able to look down and see my feet without bending over. That made me feel good. I don't ever want to go back to those old times. That may not mean much to everybody, but it sure means a lot to me.31

This week in the gym has been 🔥 🔥 🔥!!!
THREE WHEELS! 340 lb hatfield squat.

I started weighing my food again, every single morsel!😂17

Epiphany: I am no longer letting my face ( especially the senses of sight, smell and taste) decide the nutrition that my body needs, that's my brains job. Why should I let a few thousand sense receptors decide the fate of the other billions of my bodies cells? Better to let my trillions of brain's neuron interconnections work that out.

I bought a pair of jeans that I knew would be too small but I expected to get into them in Jan. or Feb. and they were on sale. I tried them on when they were delivered and they fit now- tight but they fit.23

This might be a strange one, but I'm really starting to see it. Logically I know I'm smaller, I went from 210lb to 138lb, obviously, I'm smaller but I'm actually seeing it. Instead of just seeing those spots I'm not happy with I'm seeing what I've accomplished in the last year, and I'm happy. Hopefully, I can firm up those spots I'm not thrilled with but if now? I look damn good in my clothes and no one is seeing me naked. XD.24

My dad—who never notices ANYTHING—asked me today if I lost weight! I said probably not because I actually had to put the scale away since it was triggering me too much but it was nice to know someone actually noticed something.23

I ran stairs today for my workout!! I went to my garage gym but it was too cold for me to start so I decided to take my workout inside. I did stairs, burpees and push-ups for my workout. It was a short 15 minutes workout but it is something I would not have chosen to do a few months ago.21
