We’re in the honeymoon phase of weight loss right now... and I love it. ❤️

So far since January 1st, I’m down 3.5 pounds. How are you doing so far?

Logging my food daily and hitting my step goal of 10,000. I agree, I'm in the honeymoon phase. Happy with the progress so far. Logging has kept me aware of what I eat and most importantly what I haven't eaten. Said "no" a few times to junk food. I've got this and it will happen!

Had a rough week- raging PMT and exhaustion at starting a new job on Monday meant I was eating for Britain and didn't do any exercise. But I did get back out for a 3 mile run this morning and made it the whole way without stopping so that pleased me. Hopefully, that's me back on the exercise wagon. Unsurprisingly, made no progress this week.

    01/01/21: 151.25 lbs
    09/01/21: 152 lbs (+0.75lbs) :(
    GW: 121.25 lbs

    Hi all!

    Thanks, Jill, for starting this.

Thought I'd check in. I was diagnosed with diabetes last April/May sometime. The doctor actually said my A1C "was out of control." In May/June, I began a low carb/high protein/high fat diet. It's not exactly keto, but it's something like it. In August, I was told my A1C was back to pre-diabetic levels. Since I came back to MFP in June-ish, I have dropped approximately thirty pounds. December was a rough month for me, because, well... goodies. :) I yoyo'd through the month. So I need to get back on it.

I'm 62 years old, 5'7" and weigh 183. I'm about 33 -38 pounds away from my final goal, and maybe this challenge will help focus me. I have cut way back on carbs (eating way less in a day than I used to eat in a meal) and I'm eating more veggies. I need to get past my inherent sedentary ways and be better about getting out and walking/running/cycling. :)

    Nice meeting all of you.

    Hi everyone -

I tried cooking a few new healthy dinners this week (modified MFP spinach, farro, sausage, sw potato bowl was rly good) Weather has been my excuse 🙄 for not doing more exercise this past week, I really need to just get outside even on the cold, windy days. (I regret giving away my treadmill a few years ago, lol.) I also started increasing my water intake.
    1/1/2021 - 171
    1/10/2021 - 169.5

    Have a great week everybody - K

Good morning and Happy New Year’s Eve!
We are 1 day from our official start of the 2021 30 pound challenge, and I am getting ready to start the new year off on the right foot.

I’ve got a meal plan in place for the first week in January, so I pick up my Clicklist full of fruits, veggies, chicken and lean ground beef this afternoon.

Roxie and I started today with a 45 minute walk. It’s 28 degrees this morning, but Roxie absolutely loves to be outside no matter the weather. 4,800 steps in and it not even 9am!

I have let myself slide for the last 2 weeks in regard to logging and staying within my calorie goal...so I’m totally motivated to get in gear for the new year!

    My goals for 2021 are:

    •30 minutes of exercise/day— 10,000 steps
    —walking my dog
—YouTube videos of walking/dance workout—. low impact on icy days.

    •Logging truthfully and consistently
    —logging as I go
—staying under my calorie goal—no foods are off limits— just being mindful and counting it

•Meal planning to take off stress of what’s for dinner when I get home from work at 7pm

•Drinking more water and logging it

•Keeping in contact with this amazing group of like minded friends. We’re here for each other and this is our year!
    —Checking in daily
    —posting YouTube videos to share
    —celebrating our successes

I look forward to seeing you all in 2021!!

    Jill☕️🌟

I really recommend START! Walking at Home American Heart Association 3 Mile Walk on YouTube. Leslie Sansone has great videos.
