When you've had Covid, aren't you supposed to be immune for 3+ months? Some articles mentioned maybe up to 8 months but the least amount of time I saw was 3.
I was in quarantine with Covid over Thanksgiving, came out that Saturday right after Thanksgiving.
Woke up this a.m. with a scratchy throat and a bit hoarse. AFAIK I haven't been around any sickness whatsoever but that's not really meaningful. Ugh, Guess I'm calling my healthcare provider this a.m. to ask what to do. :(

Problem is I'm supposed to stay with my BIL tomorrow so that my sister can go to an appt. :( Dang I hate this!

They don't know how long naturally acquired immunity really lasts yet. They had tested people with confirmed diagnoses after 3 months and still had antibodies so it sounds like they are confident at least up to that point. Continued testing suggests at least 8 months now, but they don't know if that's typical or not

It could be all sorts of things, but it is so easy right now to think every cough might be covid. Hopefully it's nothing!

There may be fewer colds and flus circulating now, but the viruses haven't disappeared. Odds are that's what you have. I read an article this morning that said they expect a rebound of flu infections once people start relaxing after Covid is less of a threat.

The Virginia DOH just unveiled a web survey to determine which eligibility group you are in and sign up for text/email alerts when your group is eligible. I am... not in a group lol. Instead of a group designation I was told I would be eligible once 1a 1b and 1c were complete and doses are widely available. So... get comfortable in your hidey hole Kim.

My dad is 1b due to being 76. My mom is 74 which defaults to 1c but her medical conditions might put her in 1b so I'm anxious for her to take the survey. Our county is still in 1a, some other VA counties have started 1b.

This is my "group" too, I think of it as the "everyone else" group. :D

I thought I was in this everyone else group, but a friend and co-worker just pointed out that we are technically in 1c, since under IL's definition (which is pretty broad, but I think it is most places), we are essential workers. Hmm.

Well, this is not good news. Another article right above this one saying the same thing.

@Psychgrrl it sounds serious to me. Hope we're not lining up for a new vaccine every 6-12 months.
