I'm curious if anyone's tried Lexapro, or Zoloft, or any meds along those lines -- and I recognize that you may not want to respond in public. If you've tried it, and are willing to share your thoughts, please send me a private message. And if you're willing to share them publicly, that's great, too. Thanks!
Be aware if someone tries to send you a personal message but they aren't your friend, you won't get the message. I think it's something MFP does to help filter out what a friend of mine calls certain men; it rhymes with "Cheese Sticks," but it's not sticks....2 -
@cgrout78, thanks for sharing. I've never taken medications before, and this one has me nervous. Which makes sense in an ironic way. I'm anxious about taking an anti-anxiety drug.
@mtaratoot, I didn't know about the Cheese Sticks rule for pms, but it makes total sense.2 -
Hahaha the cheese sticks made me giggle!!
Happy Monday all, if there is such a thing...! It's 11am and on my 4th coffee... sigh.2 -
Yeah...not sure there's a way to make Monday happy...unless it's a holiday Monday and I don't have to work...haha. Just starting my first cup here!3

My goal for 2021 is to get to 199 so I have about 22 pounds to go. About a year ago I got to 204 so I know I can do it! Feel free to add me and let's share the journey to success!6

49, please add me too.3

Good morning everyone! It's Monday and my day started at 4am because I had to take my partner to the airport 😴.
I'm hoping to add some new friends, I need to the motivation to stick to logging my meals. I'd like to lose about 25 pounds by summer. (I can't wait for summer!)3 -
Hope everyone had a great weekend. Back to the grind today.3

There IS a way! Make sure it's a day off. A four-ten schedule is civilized. It's one less day to commute... well, it used to be in the before times. Three days off is almost like a vacation every week. Highly recommended. I wasn't sure I'd be able to do it at first, but I'm glad now.
The next best option is 4/5 nine. Nine hour days four days a week, one eight-hour day every other week where the weekday officially begins halfway through the eight hour day (four hours assigned to each week).2 -
Hey hey. Any tips and trick on detoxing? What type of fruits or veggies you add to your water that helps? Add me if any wants too1

Hello! I'm Aimee. 47 year old (in March) military wife and mother of two adult children. I'm merely on Day 3 of being on MyFitnessPal and checking out the various features of Premium while its Free. I've never EVER been a calorie counter, in fact I run from it (not literally) but so far I'm finding it to be not so difficult. Granted, I haven't eaten out yet either. For now, I'm logging food intake as normal to see how it comes out. The awareness alone has made me not pick up the chips and cookies. I have a sedentary desk job but walking around the large office space, I normally get in at the very least 6k steps a day. That's about the extent of my exercise though.
I'm at the highest weight of my life and my goal is to lose somewhere around 30lbs, but moreover to adopt healthier habits. When I hit 40, my hormone levels went crazy and though my childbearing days are behind me, I'm on birth control to help level me in that aspect but of course not without the consequences of weight gain to go alongside. Fix one problem, create another eh?! Learning to adjust to the many new things that middle age brings with it.
Feel free to add if you think the connection of shared interests or challenges would be beneficial to either of us.
Good luck to all on your personal goals!
~Aimee3 -

I have added you also. More friends is always good.1 -
New year and 12 days in I am feeling quite good, weight wise anyway. Have managed to shift 9lb so far so getting towards the 18st threshold which always seems to be a bit of a sticking point, hopefully this time I will get through it and keep on going.2

Welcome newbies, great to see lots of new faces. Best of luck on MFP, it's really quite easy, just log everything you eat and drink as best as you can (food scales are a must) and try to add a bit of exercise, a walk is fine!
Feel free to send me a friend request
And now....coffee!3 -
welcome to the new faces...and yes...COFFEE!!!!!3

Good afternoon everyone. Anthony here from Yorkshire.0

Rest day for me today. So I meditated this morning, and plan on taking a long walk this afternoon with my wife. It is supposed to be sunny and warm (for winter, that is) and I'm looking forward to putting on sunglasses for a change. I think I've lived under a cloud dome for the last 3 weeks.3
-
Enjoy your walk and the sun! Muggy day here, it's been grey and rainy for days now. I couldn't go out for a walk but I've done these "walk from home" YouTube videos a few times this week and it's surprisingly enjoyable.
Happy Hump Day everyone!
Not lunchtime yet, but I'm feeling hungry this morning, I'll try to hold out for another hour, or the afternoon will be too long2 -
35 years old this year. First time trying this food tracking thing but it's going well so far, looking to drop 20lbs before this fall, Feel free to add me.2

Had a letter from My consultant which says I have damage to medial meniscus of my left knee with a possible tear, also the leg alignment is off so it bows outwards putting extra strain on the joint... nothing to do but work around it and hope they can get me fixed up in some way or another.
Always happy to have extra friends to chat to on this journey, right now think I could do with them..
Hope it heals soon!1 -
I'm 50 and planning to tackle my first Triathlon this year! Any friend requests welcome, also I've an open diary if that helps anyone.4

I've done a few. What race do you have your eye on?0 -
I am 40 and turning 41 this year in June. I got serious about my fitness just over a year ago and wanted to be fit (under 10% body fat) by the time I turned 40.
I had a great start. I went from 25% body fat to 18% body fat by January 31 in just 5 months. Then Covid, bought a new house and moved, and now starting this year at 24% body fat.
So now the goal is to get to around 9% body fat by the time I turn 41. To accomplish this in a short amount of time, I realize I needed to really focus on my nutrition and work outs. This app has really allowed me to make sure I am making the progress needed.
Please feel to add me as a friend and I plan to post monthly progress to keep me accountable.3 -
Down 3lbs since Jan 1. Wish it was going faster, but I'll take it! And unseasonably warm here, so the morning run felt great. Amazing how peaceful a quiet morning can be.3

Well the weekend has started here, shift work so any day off is a weekend as far as I am concerned. X-rays this morning, painkillers after and now got to chill for a few hours to let it calm down. I am pleased with what I have managed so far this year and looking forwards to it continuing.1
-
Sounds like you're doing great Craig, hope the painkillers will kick in soon for you!
WFH today and tomorrow, I'm just off a 3 hour con call and rest of the day shouldn't be too bad. Hoping to get a nice walk in later as we actually have blue skies here today. We haven't seen them in quite a while.3 -
I am 48 and would love to join2
