Goal 140 lbs
Loss this week -1 lbs

@shnerb00
That's funny, and true too!
I plateaued in January into February (for four weeks), then I started swimming every other day (starting on 2/18) -- today will be my sixth swim -- and now I've dropped about 8 pounds! Swimming is the best!9 -

Ooohhh!!! You have to SWIM?! I thought I’d just wear the goggles and watch the pounds melt away 🤣😂😜
Just kidding. Congratulations on all your hard work at the pool @frankwbrown !7 -

Just checking in. Nearing March and I lost 11 pounds, ok, it wasn't 30 but then again the end of March is not here YET; I know I can lose about 5 more pounds by March 30th.

Good to see all the great posts and how well many are doing. Best of all it's just nice to feel the great energy here🙏
It was not a great weekend for me, and I forgot to weigh myself this morning.
Tomorrow's number will reflect my 3 days of not checking in with my food dairy, I'm sure!
Time to re-commit and keep moving forward towards my goal - and NOT give up because of a few bad days.

Thanks @Up_n_Running and @shannonkelly08 😊My scale is a cheapie and not super reliable so the big drop this week may be a little questionable but I am not going to lie, the overall downward trend feels great. (So do my looser pants 😜)7 -

That’s right! @rnc52012 ! Some wise person on here once said to give yourself permission to start over every day. I love that!7 -
Hi friends, Just had Boston Market chicken for the first time; I got chicken and roasted veggies which was a pile of soft soggy carrots. I had to draw the line on those carrots but the chicken was decent.
My dessert... Reddiwip (whipped cream) on a spoon. Less than 1 g Carbohydrates and sugars. And pretty tasty!

I have also been doing some actual exercise at home, tabata fit sessions and jogging. I'm sticking to my diet pretty much 99%. Kinda look forward to Friday arriving and stepping on the scales. 🤞
So I have finally discovered what my body shape is (rectangle) so I have went through my entire wardrobe and ditched all the tops/jumpers/tee-shirts that don't fit and flatter my body shape. Funnily enough, all the stuff I'm getting rid of, is all the stuff that's sat in my wardrobe gathering dust. I couldn't put my finger on why I didn't like the garment....but since understanding what doesn't suit my shape, I could easily spot the reasons why the tops just didn't make me feel or look good. I thought it was just that I needed to lose weight and then they would look good. But nah. Just not flattering on me. I feel empowered now that I know my shape and how to dress it.
I will sort through trousers/skirts/dresses/shorts tomorrow evening. It feels good getting rid of a lot of old worn out unflattering clothing!
I did that yesterday went through my clothes, and donated anything bigger than my current size. Plus since we aren't having anymore children I also donated all my maternity clothes. Also got rid of a bunch of stuff that was taking up closet space like old bridesmaid dresses. It did feel good to see it all go. Once I'm down another 20-25 lbs i'll likely donate more.6 -
I consigned a ton of things that are too young, too small etc recently. It feels good to make room in your closet. With my remaining clothes,, I grouped by color darkest to lightest. A real estate agent told me this makes closets more appealing to the buyers. It made it more appealing to me as well. Now I can find everything!9

On the topic of clothes: I moved three years ago this month, and I gave away all my smaller waisted pants--some I had held on to for years--all except size 42 (I was wearing size 44). Now, my 44's are baggy and the 42's fit, and I'm wishing I'd held on to at lease the size 40's. And I have a slew of shirts I can wear now! That definitely makes me feel good, and helps keep me motivated to continue this journey to a healthier me.
Spring is here or soon will be, and summer is coming. Let's get ready!7 -
I think I forgot log my weekly Check In weight for Mar 1 this week🤔
SW 162
GW 140
Mar 2 - 157
Measurement the same too.
No change...nothing lost nothing gained which is good considering my weekend binging😉
Monday I got stressed out and ate 5 Nature Valley Granola bar packages in one sitting! - again! Got back on track the next day though, and have stuck to plan. Tuhe reality is, I just can't have any processed sugary foods in house at all right now, except fruit which I don't each much of anyway.
Minimal exercise do far this week due to migraine Wed & Thu....
Have a great weekend all 🤓6 -
Tonight I had two friends over for dinner. I made scallops, cauliflower (steamed ) with a tiny bit of breadcrumbs and a delicious salad. I drank a AF beer that was tasty. I usually am an average cook but tonight I did a pretty good job. Cooking scallops is so easy and delicious. They were frozen but they tasted pretty good.
I will weigh In this weekend; I think I lost a little bit. Hope so.7 -

First of all, thank you, everyone, for your support, and for being here.
You can see from the pattern above that I have slipped away from accountability. It is interesting how, for me anyway, my weight loss goals looked so attainable from the perspective of January, as though, like the shape of my week-by-week progress chart, it "should" basically be a downhill journey all the way, a slow but inevitable downward slope landing me comfortably at my goal by 3/29.
But real life intervenes. January and February were tough with social and political upheaval that put me on my last nerve, lots of COVID-related fear and sorrow, COVID scares for myself and family ending, happily, with negative test results, having to have some quite extensive and expensive (huge withdrawal from savings) dental work done, and, some small but briefly incapacitating illnesses and injuries...and a bunch of other stressful domestic and work situations --- ALL of which, yes, set me back to wanting lots and lots and lots of chocolate NOW and some alcohol to go with it NOW, to in essence throw away my daily MFP logging, and to let my strength training and other exercise goals slip to the wayside.
I know from past experience, and feel in my body, that this is not a good road to continue on.
Today I managed to get up the gumption to face the music, get on the scale, make plans for returning to my strength training, and to get back on board with this challenge.
Thanks again, everyone, for all of your support so far, and good luck with this next week of the challenge.7
