DH is on his way to get an antibody infusion. He actually sounds much better since starting his meds. DD is going to the grocery for us so we can stay in. I have broken down and contacted the dr. It is evident I have it. I sound like a barking dog. DS who lives with us, also has a headache and congestion so he probably has it too. I feel pretty awful achy and feverish. Hard to sleep. Poor bumble does not understand why everybody is just sitting around and refusing to play with him. I will stay up with him while husband is at the infusion clinic, then I am going back to bed. Hope to hear from my dr. soon. Thank you all for the hugs, they are appreciated.

Still catching up but wanted to send love to Beth - Beth I am so sorry for your loss, I can't imagine what you must be going through. No words, but know that we are thinking about you

Beth, You are in my heart and my prayers. Words just can't express what I want to convey. Life is so hard at times.I lost my son in 1984 and time has helped but the ache of missing him is and will probably always be so raw.
It's been a month with challenges. My sister's lung cancer has flared up and unfortunately in a lymph node in the upper lung lobe that was targeted with radiation a year ago. The plan to have cyber knife radiation would be 90% successful on this node if it hadn't been radiated before. Since it was, the success rate is down to 50% and the oncologist/radiologist is talking with a thoracic surgeon to see if surgery might be a better option. A major artery is near the cancerous hilar node and makes surgery risky. A group of oncologists are meeting to brainstorm a plan going forward.
Weather has been cold and my husband can't seem to get warm. His heart failure prevents good circulation. On Wednesday I suggested a warm bath and he told me if he got down in the bathtub he couldn't get up. Then he tried it with his clothes on and fell and hurt his lower back. Luckily no bones broken but bruised flesh and pride.
For him it is so hard to accept that he's not as capable physically and he is often in a very bad mood.
I read everyday but don't take the time to write much. I do appreciate this group and see so many of us struggling with many of the same issues. Life is good. It is just hard and sometimes sad.
Thanks for letting me have a place to get thoughts off my chest.

Oh, Beth - My condolences to you and your family.

Tracey's "thinking circle" used to be the "hourglass." I like the term thinking circle. I think I'll use it now.

Lisa - what a terrible thing for those scammers to do. I assume people fall for it though or they wouldn’t continue. There a similar one going around here for a while with rental houses, very good deals, usually the owner was “doing missionary” work so you had to send the deposit via etransfer or whatever and then they would mail the keys. Just pure scum.
Tracey in Edmonton
Someone tried this on prospective tenants when we had our rental unit advertised. We happened to be working on it and a woman came in and told us she saw the ad and spoke to the owner and was told he wanted a very small amount of rent in agreement for her taking care of it. It was something like half what we were asking, so she was skeptical. Rental units in our area move very quickly, so when people are looking, they are a bit anxious when they find something they would like to rent.
She would have just had to send in some "deposit" to the "owner." She had driven by just to look and came in, not realizing we were the owners. I hope no one really fell for it, but there was nothing we could do. Craigslist is notorious for this type of scam.

Yesterday was beautiful, brilliant sunshine and blue sky but oooh! That wind. Took the dogs down the drive, we didn’t stay out long. Wind blew in some rain in the afternoon evening. It’s another brilliant blue sky day today, but we’ve been fooled before. Really luxuriated in not having to be anywhere, even gave myself a manicure! NOT part of my normal grooming routine
Tina you’re right about prosecuting scammers, especially those outside the US. Scary security implications.
Allie sounds like your really coming along! Please take care. Sorry to hear your friend is moving away.
Welcome @TheMrsHMorgan ! Like Rita said, this journey takes a lifletime.
Vicki congrats on the new windows!
Margaret the pic of you and Drew at the outside ice art installationi.
Pip, is the reason the spin room equipment is facing away from the French doors, because their facing the wall with the tv? Cool idea, framing the thermostat
Katla hope the weight was the only issue at your annual. Good luck with Walgreens, we don't have them here.
Lisa whooshing you healing energy. Pain is so exhausting.
Tracey darn shame about the sink. Fooey. I like the term “thinking circle” much more descriptive than “buffering.”
Barbie it’s been in the 40s here, and sunny but oh, that wind, makes it feel so cold.
Betsy thank you for sharing your sister’s info, praying for her real hard. After 5-1/2 rounds of chemo, our nephew’s tumor has only receded a bit from the edges. Since it is still too close to his heart, chances to survive surgery are only 33%. His surgeon will take his case to her weekly team consultation to try to identify next steps, radiation or ? Would a hot brick at your DH's stockinged feet, and a warmed bag of barley or rice around his neck help him to feel warmer?
Beth :brokenheart: ((hugs))
Dogs are getting cabin fever so need to get ‘em down the drive again before the wind kicks up.
Lighter, lovelies!

Beth--I am so sorry for your loss. I know when we lost our son I just wanted the world to stop so I could figure out what was going on. I just could not think or understand. Take it one minute at a time. Sending prayers and hugs.
Weather is beautiful here, to reach 50 today and I am working a 12 hour shift, so will miss most of it. Have tomorrow off. After church taking our grandson and his wife for lunch to celebrate his birthday, DH's which is Monday and mine is Tuesday. Then going to York (about 50 miles) to have supper with my niece from Kansas that is visiting family this weekend. Then back to work on Monday. When I clock out tonight I will have 60 hours this week and scheduled for 49-50 next week.
Blessings Vicki GI NE3 -

I've been pining for the grandchildren. DDIL texted me just now asking when we can 'bump into' each other again. We've settled on tomorrow early morning on the seafront and beach. Might have an ice cream.
My son will be out on his long bicycle ride, but she can come.
Posting a photo she sent of Edie walking by the sea at sunset this evening.
