I am 5'2", age 53. In the before photo I was 143lbs and 109lbs on the left, just before I competed in a bodybuilding show. My normal weight is about 115-118lbs.
I lift weights, do Crossfit, run, mountain bike, cross country ski… and enjoy a glass of wine and the occasional cupcake

I have lost weight using this app before as a tool. Highest weight not pregnant was 170lb, maybe more. Lowest weight I got down was 125lb, then found out I am preggo with baby #2. I am postpartum 1 year now and down 139 lb. Goal weight is 115-120lbs. Wish me luck.
I am doing 1200 cal/day intermittently. 3 months on strict calorie counting, then 3 months off. I maintain within that 3 months off counting.6 -

I’m just under 5’1” and I started this round(last and final lol) of weight loss August 2019:
217lbs
Size 16/18 & XXL
Current weight:
169
Size 9/10 and medium to small top(depends on brand)
The full length photos are me at 217& 174.
And then the face photos are at 216& 170.
Id say I have what I consider a dense body type, so even though I’m still “obese” at this weight and height, my appearance isn’t too bad.
I would like to be closer to 130-140 as my end goal. Hopefully i can be reach that by summer.
this is so inspiring!! I'm almost exactly where you were at the starting weight/sizes. thanks for sharing!!! you look awesome!!14 -
Here's what happens after 60: I was "always" 5'3", but I'm now 5'2", as my body succumbs to gravity! That means at 140 lbs I'm officially overweight. I've been as high as 165 lbs and as low as 110. My "best weight"- and goal- is 125. It's been extremely hard to get the calories to where I'm eating correctly but losing- about 1100-1200 a day and not eating back any of the exercise calories (60-90 mins/day). I've always had a metabolism with no "margin of error" ( my first diet was at 11) and that margin is razor thin now. Good luck everyone!!

This is a great topic and thank you for sharing! I'm 5'3 (on a good day). I've been 135 +/- 3 pounds for my entire life (not counting my 2 pregnancies). For my 40th birthday present to myself, I'm aiming to weigh 125 or less by May. I'm currently at 127.2 (for the first time in my adult life). Part of me has always thought these lower numbers are impossible for me, but everyone's posts here are encouraging! Why not? I hope to hit 125 and then remain in the 120s for the next 20 years. I know I can maintain, it's just a matter of getting there! I was slightly overweight in high school/college (successfully dropped from mid 140s to mid 130s in college) and maintained that range until now. We can do it!7

Before and during...
29lbs to go. I carry all my weight in my middle🙈 It just goes to show on our short bodies a little weight makes a lot of difference.

Hi everyone. I'm 5 feet tall - exactly. My most recent heaviest weight was 170. I've lost 55 lbs. before and I'm hoping to at least lose a respectable 40 lbs. But more important I want to increase my strength and cardio as at 55 years old, I've decided to take up figure skating again (which took up most of my childhood and adolescence). I've missed it so much, but it is a different ball game when you are 70 lbs heavier than when you last skated. So, I'm at 163 but can tell that the exercise has helped my tone and strength so I'm not getting discouraged by the slow loss on the scale. Having a SMART goal to get back on the ice has been my focus and motivation...and it seems to be working.11

I’m 5’2, currently 135lbs. I started at 159lbs in late September (my highest, post pregnancy). I’m hoping to get back into my size 4’s, which for me used to be around 119-115lbs (I have a booty).
I still have about 16-20lbs to go but my motivation is high.
I’ve been walking about 30-45 mins all weather permitting days (pushing a heavy stroller).
Good luck to you all! I love seeing and hearing about your journey. Hopefully by August I’ll have a before and after photo to share.12 -
I found this thread very motivating for me when I started about a month and a half ago, so I decided to share! I am 5’2” and started around 169 pounds. My cw is around 155 and my ultimate goal is in around 135! I still have a long way to go, but can definitely see some progress!

So inspiring to see all these posts. I am 5ft1.5" and CW=122. I want to be 115. I know it sounds like oh just 7lbs but trust me losing any weight for me is very hard esp being in early 40s now. Being a vegetarian cutting down on carbs and getting more protein is my biggest challenge. I used to be extremely active working out 5 days a week last year, I used MFP for a month last year when I was doing boot camp and it had helped. But had an injury in Nov and unable to exercise or run much now. I am on my recovery path and starting to slowly get back to jog. I started tracking using MFP for couple days now and trying to stay at 1200 calories which I am able to do but unable to stay below my carb goal daily. Hopefully I can get better at it and hit my target weight in summer. Seeing all the above transformation stories is motivating me. Thanks!4

LittleLightShine wrote: »Hi Ladies,
I'm 5'1" and actively started counting calories on 2/23 last year. Picked that day because my starting weight was 223. I've lost a little over 73 pounds and down to 149. Would like to lose another 20, I think. Went from an 18W pant to an 8-10 and 2X shirt to a M-L. For those just starting out, if I can do it, you can too!! One year from now, you could be in my position. Consistency, not perfection, is key. Happy to accept friend requests to support and encourage.
@allgaun MFP will not set your calorie intake to less than 1200. You can set it manually after using an online BMR calculator. You might have to be Premium to do this. I try to eat 800-1200 per day when in fat loss mode. I've taken many breaks this past year to avoid diet fatigue. I don't believe in "starvation mode" or people who say it's bad to eat less than 1200. My health is the best its been my entire adult life and really, have you ever seen a fat starving person??? My guess is that people who parrot this idea are probably not 5'1"!
So inpiring! Any pointers on how you lost the weight, did you focus on macros or just the calories?2 -

I am 5'3 @ 163 pounds and will be 50 in May. What a great thread and to see everyone's successes and it's motivating! My real struggle is the tracking, oh how I dislike it but it really is the #1 tool.8

It's so amazing seeing the progress other women my height have made and are making! I gained quite a bit of weight due to a new relationship, then COVID/stress. I'm 5'2" and currently 179. My goal is to get back down to 140ish, with muscle, but I'd love to be in the 130 range (my goal is to be strong/fit, less than an exact "weight"). I'm 32. I ride my stationary bike 4-5 days a week, plus Beachbody workouts. My diet needs to be tightened up, but I've just started logging with MFP, which is helping keep myself accountable. Starting my first ever 3-day juice cleanse next week as a "jumpstart."6

I'm only 5'0 and currently 162.4lbs. I started my weight loss journey on March 4, 2021 at 171.8. I packed on 20lbs last year with Covid and menopause. At the beginning of March I said this is enough and decided for once and for all to commit to losing the weight. So far it's been a month and I'm down 9.4lbs. I eat in a calorie deficit and try to walk at least 5,000 steps a day (doesn't seem like a lot but I sit at a computer all day), plus I went from drinking almost no water in a day to 8 cups a day.
My ultimate goal is to get down to 120-125lbs, but short term goal is to lose between 6-8lbs in April.16
