My 2 year Anniversary On My Fitness Pal

I did it. I made it. I am at my goal weight. I started in May 2018 on MFP for the 3rd time. The third time was the charm because now in Feb, 2021 i have lost 100 pounds. Below are my before and after pictures. To anyone who read this who is struggling you can do it. I have had highs and lows and plateaus along the way. But I weighed and measured all my food, drank a lot of water, used the diary and exercised. So it can be done. Hang in there you can do it. Now I just have to maintain which I know won't be easy but I am going to put the same effort into maintaining that I did to losing.

Thank you so much. Now I think the real hard work begins keeping it off. But I have a plan this time so I know I can do it. Have a great week.2

Best advice I ever read on MFP (and there’s been a raft of good advice here!):
Treat maintenance like you still have five pounds to lose.1 -

I like that, I will keep that in mind as I start this new chapter. I was initially thinking of losing an extra 5 pounds as a cushion. Thanks for sharing that valuable piece of advice. Have a great day.2 -
Looking great 🤩you're almost there0

update it's my birthday April 6, and I am actual 5 pounds under my goal weight. I would like to thank all my friends and supporters out there in MFP . Here are my before and after started at 227 and am now 122.
For my birthday and reward I had my first EVER trip to the day spa and had a massage , manicure and pedicure. I have never in my life had a massage . Would never let anyone touch my rolls let alone move them around. Today was awesome. So those of you on the journey - if you need an added incentive this is amazing and you feel like a brand new person.

I think I am hooked, can wait to think of a reason to reward myself again, this is great incentive to maintain my goal. Maybe I will give myself a reward massage every six months I stay at goal. Sounds like a plan to me. thank you so much.2 -

Yes I workout six days a week. I even worked out today. And instead of celebrating my success with a meal I used the money for the trip to the spa. Food no longer means the same thing to me as it did in the past. I was a serial dieter no more of that for me. All my medical problems are gone, and I feel great. More energy and drive than when I was in my 20's.5 -

Good luck on your journey, you have done the hard part which is getting started. Now all you have to do is follow through with focus and determination. And most of all be patient with yourself when you stumble. You can do this. Take care success is right around the corner.0 -

Thank you so much. You have done the hard part you have made the decision to start and that takes courage. Now all you need is focus and determination to get you the rest of the way the there. I won't tell you it's easy because it's not. But the reward at the end is beyond putting into words. I am off all my meds. I sleep at night. I can run a flight of steps without feeling like I am going to pass out. And as a woman the best thing is since I don't have all this belly fat pushing on my bladder, I don't have an over active bladder anymore either. Don't know if you have one or not. But if you do that should be enough incentive to get that 90 pounds off alone. I used to go places and the first thing I wanted to know was where is the bathroom. Life is good for me and I want it to be good for you too. So hang in there, get some supportive MFP friends on the journey with you and the time will fly right by and you will be celebrating and I will be writing you congratulating you. Good luck and good night.3 -
