Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in day out.
A pound a week seems reasonable
I need to quit losing the same pounds over and over. If you are tired of starting over, STOP giving up.

Past week's successes: Stress, lack of exercise, party for DD’s 1 year anniversary all led to me losing the 205.8 I saw on the scale. However, I felt great in my dress from last year’s wedding since I had to tailor it down a few sizes!!! I looked much better in pictures :)
This week's challenges: Exercising 3 dogs (I have DD’s 2 puppies while she is on honeymoon) as well as myself and getting back into routine of eating healthy again.

1.7 pound gain this week. Not proud, but not aggravated either. I gave myself the week to “enjoy” foods. I ate pizza to excess, wolfed down an entire Jimmy John’s sub, and pigged out on Chinese food.

Once again I felt uncomfortably full and guilty afterwards. I know I can enjoy these foods, but simply cut down the portions, but I have portion control issues with my favorite foods—potato chips are the perfect example!

Anyway, I’m back on my logging wagon... logging all of it... and letting the guilt go...
Just now I enjoyed a portion of chips...and I’ll have a large glass of water.

My next hurdle is breaking the 200 pound barrier. This is when I start to self sabotage... but I’ve got a million projects to finish...and when I’m distracted with fun things to do, I snack less.

So glad we’re all on this journey together! Together we can do anything.❤️

    Happy Wednesday!

    Current weight: 229.6 lbs (4/16/2021)

This week's successes: My husband and I had a brunch date this week and I managed to fit that restaurant food into my calorie budget for that day.

This week's challenges: Oops, I accidentally planned for us to have pasta with creamy, meaty sauce and a dearth of vegetables basically every night this week. Not the worst, I'm still fitting it into my budget, just not the most balanced nutrition this week.

Oops, forgot to post last week!

    Highest Weight: 192lbs
    Starting weight: 174.7lbs (Jan. 13, 2021)
    Goal weight: ~135lbs (5'3")

    January loss: -6.3lbs(mostly water weight)
    February loss: -4.9lbs
    March loss: -1.4lbs

    April 6: 158.6 (-2.6lbs)
    April 13: 158.5 (-0.1lbs)
    April 20: 160.4 (+1.9lbs)
    April 27: 158.2 (-2.2lbs)
    April loss: -0.4lbs

    CW: 158.2lbs
    Total weight lost: 16.5 lbs

This week's successes: I finished my two-week diet break on Sunday and I'm really happy with how it all worked out! I pretty much just maintained for the month of April, and I am totally okay with that. When I stop losing, I will have to start maintaining, so I'm glad I got some practice with that! I also signed up for 4 personal training sessions to learn proper form for lifts and I'm really enjoying that.

This week's challenges: I haven't been getting as much protein as I would like every day. I have to work to make sure I'm incorporating enough. I'm also not super excited about being in a deficit again. I'm not hungry or anything, but the weather is finally warming up and I just want to be hanging out outside and having picnics and such! I just don't feel like thinking about what I'm eating all the time. Ah well, I know I can always maintain until I feel like losing again if I'm struggling with it.

    Happy end of April, everyone!

@gillexplores you should look into nutritional yeast flakes. I use it to season my veggies and eggs. There is 5g of protein per tbs. It's not for everyone, I think it can interfere with some medications and is not recommended for diabetics, but I love it. Hope this helps

    Goal weight for 2021: 196
    Current weight: 227.6 lbs (4/16/2021)
Total weight lost: 19.8 lbs (-2.0 since last week)

This week's successes: My husband and I have started doing some stretches/hip mobility work before bed and we did that every night this week. It's amazing how much it's helped after only a few days.

This week's challenges: I found myself wanting a snack and falling into old, maladaptive thought patterns more often than usual this week. I did manage to stay the course and stick to the plan, but it was difficult.

@StacieBugPrude I totally have some nutritional yeast in my cupboard but just don’t think about it. That’s a great reminder, thank you!
