Oh that's fantastic! So many doors can open for you now.8 -

Stretchy and big for an 8 because women's sizing is ridiculous, but an 8.
I had this NSV recently too. They were Old Navy size 8’s so I don’t know if it counts because they had stretch but I stood there in the dressing room crying because it was my first time in a single digit size. I was too big for stuff at Lane Bryant at one point. Anyway, I know how huge of an NSV the size 8 jeans are and just wanted to say I’m happy for you! Congratulations! ❤️

@wunderkindking @Coupongrl79 those are both huge victories. So happy for you!! Even when in middle school I don't think I ever wore a single digit size item. Looking forward to wearing "teens" soon. congrats to you both, it's stories like yours that keep me engaged in the losing process. thank you for sharing!8

I don't hate looking at myself in the mirror as much as I used to28

I'm typing this comfortably wearing the denim pencil skirt that was part of my inspiration when I started (this round) of losing weight. It's taken 6 months to get here. So many of my goals have been met, have become just part of normal life, it's extraordinary when I think about it.
I can now dream of wearing the beautiful dark grey silk pencil skirt that I bought at my slimmest (mid-20s) but never wore out. I could never bring myself to part with it and now I'm in the denim skirt, it's calling me...23 -
My underwear fits better.18

On the car I own, there's a lever to open the trunk (and one for the gas hatch) on the floor beside the door.
Today I was able to work the lever without opening the door or pinching my arm.21 -
My husband had to point this out to me, because I didn't quite notice, but since losing weight? I have stopped being timid. NOTHING scares me anymore and it's wild.27

Good for you!! Confidence is the positive side effect of weight loss!!8 -
I have a few from this week:
1.) The other day from my perch on a 2nd floor treadmill, I realized that I don't look out of place at the gym anymore. I'm not the most fit by a long shot, but I don't look out of place. Nor do I feel awkward and insecure there anymore. On the contrary, I love going, and these folks are quickly becoming "my tribe." When the gas shortage hit this week, my first thought was, "I've got to save enough to go to the gym." Turns out there was a full parking lot when I arrived because everyone else there had the same thought!
2.) My favorite jeans are now officially too big. I had to roll the waistband down to sit comfortably at prayer meeting, and I could put both my arms down the back.
3.) My husband remarked that I feel smaller and harder when he hugs me. I've noticed there are a lot more hugs, too!
4.) I'm finally starting to look smaller to MYSELF, so I'm not relying on external validation as much. Like, I notice muscle contours appearing in my legs and torso and back. And everything just looks SMALLER now. It's weird. I didn't notice much of anything until this week. Now I keep staring at myself in fascination.26 -
What's your recent NSV?
My resting heart rate has dropped from 95ish to 62 as of today

Today I was able to make it through a tough 30-minute circuit training workout that I couldn’t get through 6 weeks ago because I was so out of shape. Oh, and did I mention that I did 45 minutes of walking before the circuit workout?19

It took me 2 months to add 5 pounds to my bench press, 230 pounds now.21

My resting heart rate, like Nakila TDRakes, is now 62. Used to be about 72.11

Found an OLD picture of me from college that I hadn't seen in a long time. It used to be my "motivator" as I thought I wanted to look like that again, although it never really worked. I am 23 years old than I was, maybe weigh about the same (or less), but think I look a lot better now then I did then. I'm way more focused and purposeful with my strength training than I was back then, and I think it shows. Not only that, but I have a way healthier relationship with food and my body then I did back then.20
