We ate at Raw again. We took home the sourdough with seaweed butter and an arancini.

Salad of stuff: butter lettuce, arugula, tomato, fresh oregano, radish, pickled green beans, olives and Kasekrainer sausage spritzed with olive oil. I bought the sausage at a newer butcher shop I wanted to try out over the weekend. It's made in house and smoked so ready to eat. It was OK but not something I'd buy again. This was a bit light as a meal so I see a big snack coming later.

Chocolate cake with two ingredients - chocolate with stevia and eggs

Starter of salad with pear, St Augur, candied nuts. Main of failed linguine cacio e pepe (cheese started to split out of the sauce because I added hot pasta too quickly).

Flounder with a mix of Hoisin and soy sauce, sauté of baby bok choy and mushrooms (shiitake & oyster) seasoned with ponzu and Asian Chopped Salad by Josie's Organics (kit).

Slap up weeknight meal of beef green curry batch cooked a few weekends ago, that I pulled out of the freezer, warmed through with some frozen peas and garnished with toasted coconut i keep in the pantry for topping beef rendang. Pickled carrots and cauliflower stems languishing in the fridge with some roast peppers that came out of a jar. Basmati rice.

Turkish Menemen - bit like Shakshouka but the beaten eggs get scrambled into the vegetables rather than cooked whole. It was good! 😋

Dinner party at my place. I think we managed to introduce two single people to each other that actually seemed mutually interested in each other.
Starter of salad with feta, grapes, and candied walnuts and pecans, as well as homemade melba toast with homemade duck liver pate. Main of Txuleton steak, air fryer oven fries, sauteed spinach. The steak sauces were stilton butter pulled out of the freezer because it's our typical rescue for blue cheese near it's use by date , chimmichurri and a scotch bonnet salsa one of the guests brought as a hostess gift. Dessert was creme brulee made with 2% milk, sugar and eggs. The other hostess gift was a great kit for making my favourite Indian dish of bhel puri chaat.

I can't upload a picture, but I really enjoyed what my husband made me today. He took a tortilla, added 1 tbs of nacho sauce, fried onions, boiled potato chunks, crumbled bacon, and a slice of tomato. I hope you try it.

Grilled lamb chop, mashed new potatoes (skin on), salad of arugula, fennel, olives & tomato spritzed with olive oil. Dessert of So Delicious unsweetened vanilla coconut yogurt w/white dragon fruit and a bit of maple syrup as it needed a little bit of sweetening. I don't have dessert very often because I find most things too sweet but this turned out to be quite satisfying in the hot weather where I am.

Bhel puri chaat as a starter made from the "kit" assembled by one of my dinner guests last night with all the harder to find ingredients such as tamarind and mint chutney's, a pomegranate, and a ready mix of the mamra (=spiced puffed rice) and sev (=spiced fried chickpea noodles). I just needed to add finely diced red onion, tomato, coriander, ginger and a squeeze of lime.
Main of pan fried hake on a bed of warmed up tinned beans with last night's leftover spinach and topped with leftover chimichurri accidulated with extra lime to go with fish. We didn't have any shellfish bisque in the freezer for the beans so the broth was watered down instant lobster bisque with a dash of instant dashi powder, and a few drops of Chinese oyster sauce and Vietnamese fish sauce.

Curry w/grass fed beef, snow peas and onion over brown rice/millet ramen.
After making chicken curry a few days ago I came to the conclusion that I don't like curry that much. My partner loves curry so this dish was his attempt to show me that it's not curry I dislike but rather chicken. I think he's right as I liked this version fine.
