6/1 117.5 All company is leaving before noon. Ate chips and 2 cookies at Memorial Day picnic yesterday. It’s all good!
6/2 116.5 Woke up with headache and a touch of vertigo. It’s that time of year!
6/3 115.5
6/4 114.5 Fasted 19 hours, OMAD steak, broccoli and cauliflower with butter. Vertigo this morning is bad, I hope to make it to water fitness
6/5 115.0 Didn’t go to WF yesterday. Meeting one of my WW friends, who was told by her doctor to stop doing WW, and is using Noom, to catch up.
6/6 115.5 Going to take my new neighbor to WW this morning. She is desperate to find a plan that works for her. She has retired and moved from Anchorage to live with her mom and become her caregiver.
6/7 115.5 vertigo seems to have been fixed. Thank you, DizzyFix!
6/8 114.0 That’s the second time I’ve had 114.x since about 60 years ago. My only explanation is a longer period of IF yesterday. We were going to go to Golden Corral but DH played Tripoley for the first time in over a year and had forgotten when it ended and we missed “early diners” discount. We’re going there today. I know the weight is likely to go up tomorrow. That’s fine.
6/9 114.5 Went to Golden Corral so I expected this to be higher. Fasting since then, about 3:15-3:30.
6/10 115.0 Fasted 19.5 hours. Large adult beverage last night sitting out with neighbors.4 -
This is a marathon, not a sprint.
Mini goals
-get to 208 the weight I was after my son was born. Would love to get there by the end of June.
-get to 202 to be Overweight by BMI standards-would love to see 11.2 gone this summer.
long term goals
-lose 44.2 to get to the top of the BMI chart of overweight. Doable by the end of 2021.
-lose 69.2 to get to the mid-range of overweight. Ideally by January, my birthday month or anytime in 2022.
SW: 213.2 (down 65 more than 1/2 way to normal BMI, whoo whoot)
Day/Weight/Comment
6/1 213.2 post minor concussion. Weird-I weighed 216.2 in the morning, then after going back to bed and slept 'til afternoon, I weighed 213.2. Go figure!
6/2 212.6
6/3
6/4 213.6
6/5 212 I'm learning that weight fluctuates! And differs scale to scale to scale. We too our doggie in to the vet's and had to weigh him on a walk on scale. Then I tried it as Friday. I weighed 4 pounds lighter on that scale! So really I'm 208 or less.
6/6
6/7
6/8 211.4
6/9 210.6 I almost drowned in the Yampa River yesterday and had to be rescued. My brother, on a whim, asked if I wanted to go tubing down the river with him. Never again will I enter a rushing river without a life jacket! I'd normally be ecstatic about losing this weight, being down nearly 20 pounds this summer, but I'm just glad to be alive and thankful to the two guys who rescued me!
6/10 211.6 That huge portion of enchiladas last night added a pound, but I think that was the make- up meal my brother made for dragging me along on that adventure in the river. I'm sore and battered up a bit, but alive! Life is good, and I'm not obsessing over my weight. Here's to health!

6/3- 214.4lb. Back on it after missing a few rounds. It’s surprising how quickly you fall off the wagon. Put 5lb on in 50 days or so. Could be worse. I’ve joined a fitness/nutrition program near me, so feeling very motivated atm. Can’t wait to weigh daily again!
6/4- 213.2lb. Good loss, long walk done today plus a short gym session.
6/5- 212lb. Feel really hungover this morning, despite not touching an alcoholic drink for a week!
6/6- 211.6lb. Hectic day today. Was craving late evening snacks today, had a protein shake and a large glass of water. Feel happy I didn’t cave in!
6/7- 211lb. The scales keep on coming down and I am noticing that I am eating a bit less than I normally do when I track with MFP- not starving myself but maybe due to the heat and remnants of a chest infection, I’m not really as hungry as I have been.
6/8- 212lb. Not a real gain. Weighed in early and ate late the night before. Probably didn’t drink anywhere near enough water. Go again tomorrow.
6/9- 211lb bumped back down again. This weather’s got me not wanting proper food. Been very busy this week, getting in late so have been settling for a protein shake- which I know I can’t make a habit out of!
6/10- 211. Ate last again last night. Gym session today straight after work.5 -
Coming back with 10 lbs more than I left with in March. Easing into calorie goal of 1200 daily this round then back to IF 16:8 by the end of this round.

Wed 2 171 - so “good” yesterday that disappointed with no change and whilst I know that is irrational and negative and immature, I continue a lifelong battle with unrealistic self expectations. Walked , ate well and kept myself together today so come on tomorrow - let’s do this !
Thu 3 169.7 -thankful that I didn't sabotage myself yesterday - into the 160s hooray!
Fri 4 170.5 don’t know what my body is doing but rolling with it 😌
Sat 5 169.2 ok , thanks body for doing the right thing . Love you really ( even though I’ve fought with you for decades 😊)
Sun 6 169.5 what a rollacoaster week
Mon 7 169 absolutely delighted - hit my goal early - just hope I stay there. Have been working with calorie deficit for nearly 2 weeks and it's really working for me. Up and down but definitely trend is down.
Tue 8 169.5 my family do actually call me "Mrs. Speak too soon." I am still being thoughtful and making good choices though so, come on body , why not play along
Wed 9 170 don’t know what’s going on but still holding on

Day/Weight/Comment
05/31 …..206.4….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
06/01 …..205.6 ….. Light meals yesterday. Low snacks. A day of success. A nice start for me and so many others!
06/02 …..203.0 ….. Woo Hoo! Lowest weight in a very long time. Good meal planning yesterday and no night time snack. Today my daughter is bring a Thai dinner home for me. Dinner will be late (about 9:00 pm). I will split it in half and have the other half tomorrow. I will eat a very light (late) lunch today, continue a morning fast and push water in anticipation of the sodium. I don’t want to undo what showed up on the scale this morning!
06/03 …..203.2 ….. No Thai food afterall because out-of-town restaurant was temporarily closed. Daughter ended up bringing home Taco Bell and dinner was late at 10:00 pm. No TMI today so I call the small uptick a gut issue. I am thrilled to still be around 203. I’m calling it a whoosh since it does seem to be sticking around.
06/04 …..203.0 ….. I was hoping to dip my toes into the 202’s but I’ll gladly take the TMI that led to a dip back down from yesterday. A perfect eating day yesterday with carefully planned meals and no snacks. I went to bed a bit hungry (was that in my actual tummy or just in my head???). Salmon tonight with a horseradish sauce concoction is in the plan accompanied by some sweet potato (watch the toppings Donna!) . Come on 202’s…….
06/05 …..203.4 ….. I’m not sure why it went up. Omad yesterday with a small healthy snack last night. Bathroom duty good. Extra water yesterday too. My body is just trying to get me back to its comfortable zone, I guess. I won’t allow that! 202’s here I come soon! On my edit....I wonder if it's the taco bell finally showing up? Yikes.....
06/06 …..204.4 ….. Up 1 lb as a result of my diet rest day. Today I will stay on target and drink plenty of water. It is expected to be 93 today which is unusual for northern Michigan USA. No air conditioning so fans will have to do. We’ll see how that fares in this new house I am in. This year will be the test.
06/07 …..204.2 ….. Well, I’ve realized in this new house that the box fans do not fit in the window so I’ve been blowing around hot air and hoping I don’t die. Also, the electric company in Michigan has decided (since June 1st) to raise the rates of electricity between the hours of 2pm and 7pm so it will cost all the disabled and the seniors that are home all day a tremendous amount more (to be paid out of our fixed incomes) while the folks at work sit in air conditioning paid for by their companies (who did not get a rate increase). Thank you Consumers Energy for taking care of the old and the sick!
06/08 …..204.8 ….. Very hungry last night. A small binge later I felt disgusted. There are good choices and bad choices for every situation. Even during extreme hunger or cravings. I made the bad ones. However, I am still down from my starting weight which is my goal so today I must stay on target.
06/09 …..204.2 ….. I stopped myself in my tracks last night before another mini-binge. I was hungry so I committed to a better choice. Cottage cheese and tomato juice to drink. It was cold, satisfying and stopped madness before it could even start. Pat on the back to me!
06/10 …..203.8 ….. I made good choices again. My NSV: Last night I got pretty hungry and decided to have some cheese nips. For the first time in years, I did not take the box to bed and watch TV with mindless eating. I measured out some, put them in a bowl and only ate what I had taken. Controlled!!!! I washed it down with tomato juice. It made a difference on the scale. A nice round for most everyone which is always good to see.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS: One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.
Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.
