@trooworld that is great that you are going to hang out with your photo club today! Boats on the water will give you so many opportunities for some interesting shots. At one I got into photography. I loved going to the botanical gardens and taking macro shots of flowers, bugs, and whatever else would look cool in macro.
I’m jealous that you live by the water and can get really good seafood. Enjoy your day!
@theslightedgeforever I agree that moods and hormones control a lot of thinking and behavior. Especially with food! That is a good idea to make the pants pic a background photo. DH asked if I plan to keep the size 20 pants and I said yes. I never want to forget where I’ve been and where I’m NOT going back to.
Hello! So, last evening DH suggested we go out for a final meal before my big blood sugar challenge. Of course, I agreed and we ended up at the local brewery where I had an incredible burger with bacon and avocado and the fries. We had two beers as well and then thought ice cream would be a good idea, so we went to the store before going home. It's no surprise that my weight was a little up this morning. But that is OK! I started tracking my glucose and we shall see how things progress. OK, I need to go give the dog a bath since the groomer can’t get her in until July!

@teresaw1020 Even if I lived close to the water I don't think I would enjoy seafood. lol As close as I get is Long John Silvers. I grew up eating fried catfish but something happened along the way. I don't know. Were you the one reading The Beck Diet Solution? I just love that book. I'm currently doing that for my 100 day group. Second time around. I did it in October when I was about 6 weeks into carb cycling. I think it had a lot to do with my success then. It's been fun rereading my journal I wrote back then each day. I'm following the same template and adding my notes to the top to see how much I've progressed. Or not.....in some areas. I think I'd like to do this book every other year as a review course.
@trooworld Good for you for being so active. I bet you got a lot of good shots. That hot sun can zap the energy from you. Your lunch sounded good but I had to look up your soup. oh that sounds good and would be very good on my plan it sounds like. You want a good laugh? I was not pronouncing it right at first. My first attempt was Av-gole-mono So I was thinking it has like one main ingredient in it. Then I looked up the recipe and saw it's pronounced Ahvo-lemono (lemon-egg)
I just had a good NSV. Yesterday I wanted some ice cream and had planned for it being a green day and all. Dh didn't want to go get some. I didn't want to go all the way there by myself. So I knew exactly what would happen today. He would ask to go get some. Which he did. We were out doing errands and he said do you want to go get that ice cream now? NO but you can have some. Don't let me stop you. He says I feel bad. I was thinking you should be.He compromised and got a plain vanilla cone from McDonalds. Part of my Beck training this week is to eat what you have planned for the day. It's the unplanned eating that gets us in trouble. The food will always be there, we can get it another time if we want. Well I have 4 red days until Thursday. I could plan it in maybe for tomorrow but I told him on the weekend. So Yaaaay me. I will re-lose the weight I gained during corona.

@trooworld What a fun day it sounds like you had shooting pics, petting dogs, and chatting with people. Like the slightedge I had to Google that soup and it looks amazing!! I pinned a recipe for future remembrance. I love all things lemon!
@theslightedgeforever I was the one reading the Beck Diet Solution and I did enjoy it. I need to revisit the book to see what new insights I can get. I’m still trying to slow down my eating! The one fish I’ve tried that I hated was catfish. Way too many bones! I watch this show, Alaska the Last Frontier and I get so jealous of all the salmon those people get to eat.
That is awesome that you stayed strong and didn’t eat the ice cream. Although it's a bummer that your DH didn’t get it on the day that you could eat it. Men!!
Hello everyone! I fear the Georgia heat and humidity is upon us and will only get worse! After church and lunch, DH and I went over to the nursery and bought some more flowers for two of my containers that haven’t done very well on the porch. I got some more Begonias because those things survive no matter what, and some pretty dark pink double blossomed Petunias. I’ll plant them in the morning when it’s not so hot. I did a killer upper body workout this morning and my arms aren’t pleased with me right now, so I need to rest anyway.
I’m on day two of taking my blood glucose. After tomorrow I will get my “trigger” number and then the fun will really begin.

Morning all, I am so far behind and I am sorry I have not been on here. I have done horrible eating and no exercise...however I lost .8 lbs this week. I think it's pure stress..LOL. I plan to make this week different.
@trooworld I think your right about the sugar free Reeses cups...my Dad used to try to eat that because he is a diabetic, but it had a bad effect on him and he decided the real thing is better..LOL He really ate mostly what he wanted. I am not telling you to do that his health was not great.
@TeresaW1020 I love the pictures of the jeans...I agree put it on your phone screen....:). My DH is visiting my grandson and enjoying himself.
@theslightedgeforever Yea I am trying to do better this week.

@teresaw1020 I'm too slow to eat. My problem was when I stopped preplanning my meals each morning to make sure I hit my target for the day. When corona hit at first I was having problems getting eggs. Then I couldn't find my regular cheese. Then hubby started working from home. Add stress and having to fix 3 meals a day and preplanning went out the window. First thing. So that is one of the skills I have been working on. I've been doing well reading my response cards everyday. I have a list of advantage cards that were compliments and NSV I wrote down during that 6 months I lost weight. I read those everyday to remind me I can get there again. Darn corona! What's the name of your other group? Yes on the catfish bones. I grew up always hearing be careful of the bones. You might choke. I'll be interesting to hear your results on your glucose.
@trooworld Interesting on the Reeses. It probably doesn't taste the same but I bet I could get used to it. I've been buying the miniatures so I can just pop one in my mouth. But I'm now trying to put them on my green days only and plan them out instead of impulse eating one. I bet I would like feta cheese on that soup. You did so good at work. Now just to repeat. One day at a time. Exciting tonight for the meet-greet artist event. What are you wearing? Something artsy?
@cbabie Hooray on your weight loss. So start anew and eat healthy today and do some movement today.

@trooworld Good for you for not buying those sugar-free Reeses! Those would totally be a trigger for me too. The body really doesn’t know the difference between real or fake sugar so if we give it sweet, it will trigger us to eat more. This is why I don’t make a lot of low-carb desserts. I hope you have fun at the event and meet some fun people!
@cbabie Sorry that you have been under so much stress. That is not a good way to lose weight!
@theslightedgeforever I still have my Advantage Response card on my WHY that I want to lose weight. It really is a great exercise to read the card and focus on each entry. I'm going to read it more often! I’m not sure what group you are referring to? The one I help run on MFP is the Fat2Fit challenge group. I’m blessed to have trooworld as one of my team’s motivators.
Hello! Not much going on today. I did a leg workout and upped my weights so that was good. One of the women on my Fat2Fit group told me about this website called Recipe Keeper. It’s amazing and I’ve already bought the pro version so I can store unlimited recipes. It even lets me menu plan for the week. It’s really going to help me organize get away from my out-of-control Pinterest food boards.I’m on day four of the DDF challenge and so far, I’m loving it. I got my first trigger, which is 85 mg/dL and now the goal is to not eat until it’s at that number or below. Last evening it was at 93 before dinner so I went for a 10-minute stroll on my treadmill, and it dropped to 79. This morning it was at 94 after lifting weights, which can happen. I like it because it keeps me mindful to not snack and the importance of eating enough protein to stay satiated. The app for the program will lower my trigger at some point. Reminds me of when I was doing WW and my points would drop. On the one hand, it was a good thing and on the other it was terrifying.

@teresaw1020 Yes, Fat2Fit. That's the one. Sparkpeople is closing down and I know some people have moved over to MFP. Out of control Pinterest boards.
I have my "recipes to try" sorted by category now. Still don't try very many it seems. Most are yummy desserts. I'm thinking once a month. I love to bake and like doing a job well done and then enjoying the fruits of my labor. I'm eating the real thing. I don't like fake desserts. How many times do you have to test daily? I'm just thinking of the cost of the strips. lol The good news about this program is that it will make you do little 10 min exercise things here and there.
@trooworld The outfit sounds spot on. You sound on top of the world right now. Which is so important to mental health and our eating. Expanding your people group will also help although occasionally that comes with food choices. But it can be done. I do better when I'm with people than I do at home alone.

Morning all, Went for a walk yesterday with baby girl, went a little over in my food, but only minimal. I have been trying to do this Bible study and read more...I know thats less active, but it also does away with my anxiety..(takes my mind somewhere else) LOL
@trooworld your night sounds great..so glad you got to go and you had fun. Your outfit sounds really cute. Great job on staying on plan...even with your attitude in regards to the lunch with your boss. YEA..I tell you our thoughts and emotions can own us..LOL
@theslightedgeforever I don't think I could keep minis here...I have no self control on those things...Great job on how you keep yourself encouraged and moving forward.
@TeresaW1020 I agree with you on when my WW points would drop...I was like NO....I was just getting these down. LOL. So glad the new program is working and you are learning more about yourself..keep going!!

Morning all, I did lousy yesterday..I was over in my eating (late night stress) and didn't exercise. It is getting so hot here, today we have a Excessive Heat Warning..but I will take that vs Excessive cold warning..or cold anything..LOL I know what the triggers were and should have just went to bed and stayed there..LOL
@trooworld Glad you are getting the window fixed..yea HOA..so glad I don't have one. We have lived here 30 years and luckily it wasn't like it is now. I am sorry you had a lousy day and it's a plus though that your gums don't hurt. I agree with slightedge...you sound so happy when you talk about your photos/art!!
@theslightedgeforever went to PT? hows you knee now? See you aren't always like dad..LOL
Cbabie0 -
@cbabie Yaaaay on your exercise. Whatever works to take your reduce your anxiety so you eat less. On days to move more, how about listening to an audio version of the Bible. You can even record your thoughts on the subject on your phone. There are days when we just need to sit and "be" and some days we don't. You said, "I have no self control on those things." Yes you do. This sabotaging thought is what you are choosing to tell yourself though. So it's good to speak back to those thoughts. Yes I do have control over these. I'm choosing right now to not eat any. You could even add, I'll have one tomorrow after lunch. Although by tomorrow you may not want any. If you were a smoker and you were trying to quit but your husband smoked the same brand as you what would you tell yourself? Temptation is the same no matter what. It's we tell ourselves and then our brain starts saying things like, It's just one. It's a miniature too. You could have eaten a regular size one but you didn't. It's not that bad. But then you do eat it and then later your brain says, Oh that was good. One more isn't going to hurt. It's still less calories than if you had a regular pack. It's okay. Go ahead. So you do. Then you feel bad and you say see? I have no self control over those things. So the first time you hear that phrase, stop it in it's track. It will be persistent though so you need to repeat like a robot and find a distraction. You are stronger than you think. Read my post to trooworld about my knee.
@trooworld My knee is almost good but still have problems getting up and down off the floor on that side. So I'm still working on that. It's hard to do child pose. Too much pain right on the kneecap. So she said don't do that right now and still work on the stretching and the building of the muscles around it. Ouch on the dentist. My gums actually hurt when I read that. Hopefully HOA will fix the other. It's a shame you have to pay and they aren't very good.
I'm headed to a surprise bday dinner tomorrow at a Japanese restaurant.I have looked over the menu to see what I can eat because not liking Japanese, it won't be much. lol I'm switching my yellow day to my green day from Saturday. I have preplanned all my food for tomorrow. I'm ordering miso soup, chicken fried rice, a strawberry mohito and I've saved carbs for the bday cake. I think it will be red velvet since that is one of the choices there. I still have 39 carbs left to play with just in case.

@theslightedgeforever I was once on Sparkpeople years ago. I’m sure MFP will see a boost in new members. I have a couple of Pinterest boards dedicated to yummy desserts and one chocolate board that is really just glorified food porn.
The first three days of the program, I would test my blood when I first woke up, before meals, and one to two hours after a meal. So, I was doing it five times. I have dropped the waking BG test since that is just personal data. What the program cares about is the before-meal BG, which needs to be at or below the trigger I was given. After a meal is also just data but it’s good to see what foods my body likes and doesn’t like. And yes, it can get pricey! I get so mad when I don’t give the test strip enough blood and I get an error message and have to do it again.
Have fun at the bday dinner!
@cbabie The new program is motivating for sure and I’m hopeful it’s something that will work for me. That is great that you are doing Bible studies and feeling less anxiety, which is just as important if not more so than exercise.
I hope your days will get better!
@trooworld Bummer about the dental procedure on your gums but glad it didn’t cause you pain. That is good that you are getting the window done. What is up with HOA’s and not doing what they should do? They certainly would harass you if you didn’t send in your HOA fees wouldn’t they?
Hello! Not much has been going here. I’m still stabbing my fingers with needles and trying to get the scale to go down. I went and looked at my data and I’m the same weight today as I was at the end of March. So that is frustrating!! The good news is that while the scale hasn’t moved down my body has leaned out. This morning I wore a T-shirt that had felt too snug for my liking and now it fits perfectly. So, I’m happy, but we all know that seeing the scale down is still important and I need to do the work to make it happen! OK, I’m off to take DH to the eye doctor since he will probably get his eyes dilated.

Morning all, I did better yesterday, I think I found a way to eat Ice cream that helps me not eat TOO MUCH...LOL. I bought Ice cones for baby girl and she only eats the top part and I eat the bottom part..satisfies the craving..LOL. We went on a bike ride last night so I got 22 min exercise..yea me.
@trooworld I LOVE LOVE LOVE that top and I can "picture" in my mind you in those jeans and boots!!! I am so excited for you..its funny we "accessorize" our masks, they have become a part of our outfit.. I bet you will look great from head to toe!
@TeresaW1020 I flinched just thinking about pricking my fingers all day..LOL. I guess I should keep that in mind when I want sugar and carbs..LOL...sometimes how we look and feel in our clothes is as important or just as important than a number on a scale. You will do this I am sure and I am so glad you saw the positive in your "fit". That's what I call a balanced mindful attitude!! Great JOB!! Yes we want the best of both..LOL My eye Dr did some other kind of test instead of dilating my eyes...I loved it. I can't remember what it was, but I was so happy not to have the dilation!!
@theslightedgeforever I had to laugh at your cigarette example..you know I quit with a HOUSEFUL of smokers and then broke my knee right after that..so YES you are RIGHT again..I will work on my thoughts. I think if I had to go to a Japanese restaurant, I would come home hungry...or just eat all CAKE..LOL Glad you found something you could eat and planned for it.
Cbabie0 -
@teresaw1020 That's great on your body leaning out. Like the Tower of Pisa?
it's all that exercise you do. Keep it up. Eventually the scale will move.
@trooworld How is your food this week? Have you been eating within your points? Oh yeah, just remembered you didn't track. So what happened there? I'm a heat versus cold person too. My dd lives in MN. She loves the frigid artic weather. Yaaay on tracking. For a moment I forgot we were in a pandemic. (I know, how is that possible) When I read about your mask, I was thinking ooh you're wearing a sexy masquerade mask. lol Then remembered covid. Better safe to wear your mask. Especially a sequined one. I love the shirt. Those are my colors.
@cbabie That's a great ice cream hack. As long as you get the taste and it satisfies you. I don't like the cone part. I remember getting sugar cones as a child and it would leak out the bottom and be all messy. I have a thing with messy foods. I'm surprised you love Troo's top. I figured it would be too flashy for you. Are you turning into Mom after all these years? lol I think controlling our thoughts is most of the battle in being successful for weight loss.

Morning all, I stayed within calories, but went over my fat % yesterday. Went for another bike ride, so feel better about moving. LOL. I haven't had to order PB in over a month..however, last night I HAD to have some, so I gave in. It had been awhile.
@trooworld I am sure you will look great in either shoe. Or you can wear both and people won't know if your sexy or someone not to mess with or BOTH..LOL. Congrats on the loss...yes I always take even .1..LOL
@theslightedgeforever I still like my conservative look, thank you...but I do venture out now and then. LOL. Yesterday when I was cooking, I thought how good it felt to be in charge of eating healthy..but then I went over in fat grams yesterday..darn PB.. However, I could hear you in my head...NOTHING is off limits, we just choose how much we eat of it. You know if we put you and trooworld in room together would we be able to tell which one was which? LOL. You guys have similar taste.

@trooworld You are absolutely gorgeous!!!! I love it, which shoes did you choose? LOL0

@trooworld I’m so happy for you that you had such a good time at the exhibit. I assume you will be entering a different photo. Do you know what you will submit? That top is so stinking cute, and I love the mask too, but I hope you didn’t have to wear it.
@cbabie good idea about how to moderate your ice cream! When I had my last eye exam I had some test that I’ve never had before and I didn’t get dilated. Interesting! I will have to tell DH to ask his eye doctor when he goes back for his next exam. You have done so well by staying away from the peanut butter. Did you moderate when you had some? DH has a big jar of my favorite Jiff in the cabinet that I admit to having a couple of small spoonfuls of over the last few weeks. But I try to not think about it or open that side of the cabinet.
@theslightedgeforever My DH’s nickname for me is Pita so you could say that I’m becoming the Tower of Pita instead of Pisa!
Hey everyone! Not much going on lately. Just stabbing my finger all day and trying to get my blood sugar numbers to drop so I can eat. I’m still trying to figure it all out, but I’ll get there! My workouts make my number higher than they should be which is a whole thing that I’m learning how to deal with. I laid out today trying to get a tan on my white legs, so I don’t have to use self-tanners. I would like it more if it wasn’t for the sun being so dang hot!DH and I just started watching Downton Abbey and we LOVE it!!! Not sure how I went so long ever watching it, but I’m hooked now.

Morning all, I didn't do so well yesterday. One of my daughters birthday and of course we had cake...butter cream frosting..YUM. I gained .2 lbs this week, but I know I am on the right track, because as much as I didn't want to, I tracked yesterday! LOL. I went for a swim and rode my bike last night.
@trooworld I bet you looked great in those boots. I am so excited that you submitting artwork you did. How fun!! You are actually enjoying life and see food wasn't even in your fore thought. LOL. I hope you do okay at work today.
@TeresaW1020 I have so many sun spots on my OLD legs now, I just wear nylons..We have a pool, but I rarely get in it...except this year baby girl likes the pool (still needs to learn to swim) so I am getting in the pool, but after the sun is off the water. LOL. I did finally have PB yesterday, it was worth the risk. LOL. I have just decided it's too many fat grams for me and I can't make my self eat it like I used to. I miss it and when I really "have" to have it..I do. I learned that I would just keep eating everything until I did..so better to eat that and move on.. Sorry your DH has that near by. LOL. it's like quitting smoking and you have someone lighting up a cig right next to you. LOL

I didn't realize I missed a couple of days. I thought just one. I had to make a trip to the airport. My youngest son is visiting us for 5 weeks while he's on summer vacation. He likes his new job at the school just because of summers off I think. lol I realized today that one house guest left and now another one is here. Then I'll go on vacation. So I guess the lesson to be learned is how to stick with a program and lose weight while I'm not in my routine. lol I lost 1.1 lbs since last Sunday.
@trooworld Hooray on your weight loss. Little by little makes a big deal after a while. You are beautiful. I loved the smoky eye and the chunky necklace. All of it really. Plus the combat boots. oooh alligator. Very edgy. I'd rather wear a mask and be out at an art gallery than stuck at home not being able to go out.
@cbabie Yaaay on your bike ride. I bet it felt good to move your body. Plus you stayed within your calories.
@teresaw1020 Tower of Pita. Here's some fun pita jokes https://upjoke.com/pita-jokes So how does your program factor in exercise? I would imagine it would have to somehow. Can you factor it in yourself after seeing a pattern and losing some weight? I know tan legs look better but be careful of skin cancer. I never got into Downton Abbey but my dd loved it. Even had to go to the NY exhibit when it came a couple of years ago. Of course I said the same thing about Game of Thrones. I didn't start watching until they were doing the last season and then I started. Loved it.

@trooworld I hope your art is accepted! Yup, not much you can do if the mask rule is still in place. I hope they drop the mandate in your area soon. Especially with summer here! You should watch Downton Abbey. It’s soooo good!!!
@cbabie Good for you for tracking everything! Cake and buttercream are a bad combo for me to be around. If I had a pool, I would be in it every day! Yeah, I’m not sure how much longer I’m going to do the laying out thing. Like your sister warned, I don’t want to risk getting anything!
@theslightedgeforever Those jokes are funny! But just to clarify, my DH calls me Pita not because I like to eat them but because I’m a Pain In The A**He gave me the nickname on our very first Yahoo Messenger chat, and 16 years later the name is still going strong. Funny story is when we were first together that was the name he gave at Starbucks for my coffee. A year later, I went to work there and had to train the employees that Pita wasn’t my real name.
My program doesn’t so much factor in exercise, but it does acknowledge that it can raise BG and I do have the option to eat lunch and call it my “main” meal and not test. But then I would have to hit my trigger for dinner. This is something I plan to work on this week.
Hello! Today wasn’t my best. I didn’t feel well most of the day but sucked it up and did my workout. Holy cow Tabata cardio is NO joke! Then I went grocery shopping and DH and I went to Lowes to buy new toilet seats for the church’s bathrooms. As the cleaning lady, I decided this was a needed purchase. I also bought some bug spray to help supplement the pest control guy. I’ve had two big spiders in the last couple of weeks and those dudes have GOT to go!!

Morning all, I didn't do anything yesterday. It was 113 here, I had to go out a couple of times and the heat just drained me. I also got into the cake...UGH. However, I know today will be better.
@trooworld I am so sorry the egg was bad..but you held your ground! LOL. Maintaining is still better than gaining. LOL.
@theslightedgeforever You should just not want a routine..LOL. KIDDING. I can understand how you feel about having company or no routine all the time... It's a little hard for us folks that are set in our ways.
Congrats on the loss!!
@TeresaW1020 I laughed about the PITA and starbucks..I bet that was funny. I hope you feel better today.

@trooworld Yaay on not getting something from the vending machines. You were hungry but you survived. That is how you lose weight. Not giving into impulses. I'm not going anywhere exciting just to MN to see my daughter. I've never been to her new home. Maybe later take a trip to see cbabie so I can nag her in person about healthy eating and exercise.
Although my dd wants a roadtrip while I'm there so we'll see. My son was telling me yesterday about Ring saying we need to install one.
@cbabie I'm learning routine breaks are like holidays. There seems to be one around every corner. If I keep going off plan because of them, no wonder it's taken me years to get to goal. I just have to do it despite company, holidays, etc. I've said no to Oreos two days in a row now. So I've put them on my plan for tomorrow as a snack.0 -
@teresaw1020 You'll eventually figure out your numbers. Great job on the exercise. If I hadn't got skin cancer smack in the middle of my face, I'd be laying out too getting a good tan. 2cbabie@ Ugghhh the heat!! We have a gorgeous day today but yesterday it was 88 and muggy.
@trooworld that acai bowl looks like a work of art!! You really should be a food blogger! Ugghh brain freeze is a killer!
@theslightedgeforever I hear you on the skin cancer and have had a change of heart with the laying out in the actual sun. I’ve gone back to the self-tanner. I don’t love it but it is safer and wayyyyy less hot. 😉 We call the dog Little Pita.
Hello! Not much going on today. I’m loving my new workout program! It’s called Control Freak Off the Wall and it uses weights and Tabata cardio. There is the density portion where I do as many rounds as possible of 5 different moves in a race against the clock. There is the complex portion where I do back-to-back exercises without rest using weights. And then there is Tabata which is intense but fun. The workouts are under 30 minutes, so I’ve been adding in some treadmill walks too. And with the Data Driven Fasting things are going better now that I’ve come to the realization that it’s still like IF. It’s just now I don’t decide when to open my window and eat. My blood glucose decides for me. Since starting this I haven’t done any afternoon snacking and have kept my two meals a day to high protein with moderate carbs and fats. So, I figure with all this healthy eating and hard workouts my weight will get with the program sooner or later. Just wish it would be sooner.

Morning all, I thought I had posted yesterday. We had a storm hit here night before last, not sure we got any rain, but we got the wind!!! Pool full of leaves, twigs, flower petals, etc. Yard was a mess, umbrellas knocked over..so I spent the day mopping my floors and cleaning the back yard and pool. I almost got too hot...but baby girl made me come in..LOL
@trooworld Your bowl looks refreshing!!! I had to read what acai-bowl was. congrats on the scale going down.
@TeresaW1020 I too like the name of your program..LOL. Glad you like it and your getting into your groove. It's good nothing is going on..I like peaceful!! LOL
@theslightedgeforever You are getting your moves ON...great job. Good job on the carbs.
Cbabie0 -
@teresaw1020 Eventually the scale will have to move. Just think of all the good habits you are making.
@trooworld Hooray for trending downward scales. Oh just read about the snacks. Just a slip. Acknowledged and moving onward.
@cbabie At least you were moving doing all of that clean up. That burns calories. I know it's hot there but what are you going to do towards planned exercises? How about jogging in place in the pool while the little one plays next to you? You can always do arm exercises in the pool too using the water as resistance.
I had to take mil to the eye dr today for regular check up. While I was there I had him look at my eye. I have a stye I think. I woke up on Tuesday with my eye hurting and a small red bump in the lower inner corner. So I started antibiotic cream left over from my shingles and warm compresses. Tea bags too. lol Under my eye is swelling now just like it did with the shingles I'm starting to look like Quasimodo again. But he said it's not shingles. I need to go get those shingles vaccines. Dh said I'm like an old car....once you get too much mileage on it you fix one thing and the something else needs fixing. That's the way I'm feeling lately.

Morning all!! I did horrible yesterday...it was a bummer day. Today is a new day and I don't give up that easy.
@theslightedgeforever No I can't do pool exercises with baby girl, she is not ready to not be held while in the pool. I will just keep trying to do SOMETHING. Hope your eye feels better and I hope a Dr never tells me that..LOL. Even if I am the older sister.
@trooworld We really don't get tornadoes, one time a couple of years ago they said maybe we did..but we get dust devils, HUGE dust storms. One year it was like a WALL of dust ran over the valley..no visibility...it was horrible. No real warning... how exciting do drop your paintings off!!

@cbabie Yup today is a new day and you can turn it around.
@trooworld Wahhhooo that your weight is at itslowest. My fingers are crossed that your painting will be accepted!
@theslightedgeforever Yikes, I hope your eye gets better soon! Do get the Shingles shot. DH got it and will kick your butter but it’s better than suffering through the Shingles. And tell your DH that you are NOT an old car! You are a classic who needs lots of TLC.
Hello! Not much going on here. I had a half-pound gain this week, which is frustrating because my eating was great, and I’ve been doing the new workout. I do think it’s possible I’m not eating enough with the workouts that I’m doing and of course my muscles have been hurting all week. Whatever, I’m keeping on and the scale will get with the program eventually. I spent a good portion of the day trying to finish this awful puzzle that my sweet DH got me. I’m over halfway done and determined to finish it and move on to something more enjoyable.

@trooworld Yaaay on no snacking. I think I'd be a '64 Mustang convertible. Lots of fun to drive. Fingers crossed on the gallery. Hooray for your weight loss.
@cbabie So here's something to work on. Salvaging the day. If you mess up earlier in the day instead of saying I'll just start again tomorrow; I already it blew it for the day this is what can happen.
Large piece of frosted cake 500 cals
Large piece of frosted cake 500 cals and a donut 800 cals
Large piece of frosted cake 500 cals, a donut, and a dish of ice cream 1200 cals
Large piece of frosted cake 500 cals, a donut, a dish of ice cream, and a big candy bar 1500 cals
Large piece of frosted cake 500 cals, a donut, a dish of ice cream, a big candy bar, and a bag of chips 2000 cals
Large piece of frosted cake 500 cals, a donut, a dish of ice cream, a big candy bar, a bag of chips, 3 pieces of cheese 2300 cals
Large piece of frosted cake 500 cals, a donut, a dish of ice cream, a big candy bar, a bag of chips, 3 pieces of cheese, 2 choc chip cookies, a large muffin, 3 T PB, and a soft pretzel 3500 cals
If you stopped after the cake and then got back on plan for the day, look how many calories you can save.
@teresaw1020 Just keep tweaking your program. You'll figure it out. It's entirely possible you aren't eating enough. Just move it up slowly by adding in extra protein, or fruits, or veggies.

@trooworld Yayyy on your loss this week! Are you enjoying the WW meetings and getting good info for you to use? I did like the weekly scale accountability the most about going in person. Have fun celebrating DHs B-day!!
@theslightedgeforever Girl, we are almost the same except I would be a ‘66 Mustang convertible. That is the year I was born and the car my first boyfriend drove. I’ve always wanted one and when DH and I go to antique car shows it’s the car I seek out to lust over. Mmm, now I really want a large piece of frosted cake!!
Well, of course, the scale moved down almost a pound this morning the day after weigh-in. I’m just starting early for next week’s big loss! I also lost a half-inch off my waist, which is one of the measurements the DDF challenge has us track. My workout this morning was Control Freak triceps and chest, and I did 20 minutes on the treadmill. Most of the day, I worked on that insufferable puzzle and binged watch Top Chef Just Desserts. I just love a good cut throat challenge show!
