    I will be doing daily weigh-ins this month.

    Original starting weight - 338.8

    I am 34 years old and 5’2”.

    For the month of August, I plan to work out at least 5 hours a week and maintain a 7000 calorie deficit per week. Really hoping all my efforts result in a big change this month.

    **My scale measures in 1/8 pound increments**

    8/1 153.5
    8/2 152.5
    8/3 151.5
    8/4 151.5
    8/5 150.75
    8/6 151.0
    8/7 150.125
    8/8 150.5 (3 pounds down this week!!)
    8/9 151.5 (Not sure why the scale is going up. I am eating less than 1300 calories and exercising. I didn’t eat more salt than usual. I am sore from lifting so that could be it.)
    8/10 151.25 (I have been crushing my workouts and my diet has been on point… I have been weighing every smidge of food).
    8/11 149.5 (4 pounds down!!! 🌷)
    8/12 149.5 (Pretty dang happy the scale didn’t bounce back into the 150s this morning)
    8/13 148.75 (I ate super light)
    8/14 149.5 (I was crushing ab day and stayed at the gym a bit later than expected. I left the gym a hungry beast. I didn’t realize store bought Alfredo sauce was so carb heavy. Homemade Alfredo sauce isn’t carb heavy like that. I didn’t realize it until I was eating and counting calories. Let’s see what tomorrow’s weigh in reveals).
    8/15 149.75 (My diet and exercise has been consistently on point… just waiting for the scale)
    8/16 150.0 (I meal prepped carnitas bowls and I have been eating sausage dogs w/homemade slaw. I have a feeling this may be higher in sodium than my usual meal prep).

    8/18 149.75 (Still following my diet and working out. I am not sure why the scale isn’t moving. I was incredibly hungry yesterday. I ate a few more calories than I originally planned but everything on the menu was diet approved. On the bright side, my work clothes definitely fit better)
    8/19 149.0 (It’s about time I saw the scale drop! Shooting for a couple low carb days and hoping for a bigger 21 day loss)
    8/20 148.5 (5 pounds down since August 1st!!! 🌻)

    I am averaging right around 1200 calories a day. I should be losing about 1/4 pound a day.

    Battling a stomach bug so the loss is mostly water. Although, definitely in a calorie deficit so hopefully a little will be fat.

    Back up a bit, but that was to be expected as I rehydrate. Feeling better and was able to eat yesterday, but my appetite was lower than usual. Wouldn't mind that after effect sticking around. Would make a calorie deficit much easier :D

    71 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... :D...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.

    Highest weight - 192.2
    July Ending weight - 147.0 Tripped during my walk on the 30th...messed up my knee, sprained my ankle
    Aug goal - 144.0
    Ultimate goal - 130.0

    I weigh in on Monday

    08/01 - 146.8 at 8:15 a.m. ...total rest and ice day.
    08/02 - 149.4 at 5:00 a.m. ...nah ...60 min workout w/trainer...all upper body!
    08/09 - 149.4 at 5:00 a.m. ...total rest and ice day.
    08/16 - 146.6 at 5:00 a.m. ...60 min workout w/trainer...all upper body!
    08/23 - 148.2 at 5:00 a.m. ...daughter's b'day the 20th, Grandson's 5th b'day the 21st! So much good food!! :#

    Aug 05 : 191.2…..(trend weight 193.3)
    Aug 12 : 190.0…..(trend weight 191.6) Progress. Posted early yesterday by accident. This is a bit higher than yesterday but down from last week's weigh-in. I'm happy it's moving down still, even with everything that is going on around me.
    Aug 19: 187.8…..(trend weight 189.9) That is 2.2 pounds down this past week so I am very happy. I noticed on my spoiler on another challenge that I gained 19.8 pounds during the covid shut-downs in my state during Feb-Aug of 2020. It took a minute, but I have lost all of that back down (finally!) and am working on actual progress again. Staying hopeful that I will reach the 5 pound goal this round. My starting weight on July 31st was 192.4 so I am almost there. I need to lose 0.4 more. More importantly, I need not to gain! With some travel and a few social engagements left in the month, I must watch my p’s & q’s but I think I can do it!
    Aug 26: 188.4…..(trend weight 188.5) I’m still thankfully trending down but I’ve been off the rails since a birthday party last Sunday. The bad food and choices is making me feel like I’m in slow motion. Sluggish, Horrible. Today, things go back to where they need to be. Pushing through so I will feel better tomorrow! None of it was worth it. I am still close to goal and know that I can make it if I try.
