My name is Donna. I am 5’ 5” tall, 61 years old and from the Midwest USA. In 2016 I weighed 253 lbs. I am on a journey of health and to get back to the real me.
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

11/01-…...189.4…..(Trend Weight 187.7)….. Pizza and Candy does not a slender person make.
11/02-.…..189.0…..(Trend Weight 187.8)….. Scale down. Trend up. Not good. I’m going to work harder in November. October was a mess. Especially with surgery and so much long-distance medical travel. Even with Thanksgiving coming up this month, I hope things will be much much better.
11/03-.…..189.0…..(Trend Weight 187.9}…..Good news. No cancer found in the lumpectomy. What a relief! Today is my DD#2 birthday (the one who lives with me. Today will be special dinner, cake, ice cream and the trimmings. So many things to celebrate today. Tomorrow, back on track!
11/04-.…..189.6…..(Trend Weight 188.1)….. Okay. The celebrations are all over. Today I will pawn the leftovers off on my workers and make a good dietary plan regardless of what the others in the house do. Today I take my grandsons to their hair appointments. I always get them lunch or dinner afterward (dinner today because it’s a school day). I will not be ordering for myself. Getting serious here . I need a good streak!
11/05-.…..188.8…..(Trend Weight 188.2)…..Diet on point yesterday so there’s the drop. Still trending up, however, due to all the bad days since surgery. Next stop…..turning that around too!

11/07-.…..189.0…..(Trend Weight 188.2)….. A day very similar to yesterday except no TMI and a little short on steps & water. TMI makes a big difference on the scale.

9/14/20-255 lbs-started new job without a micromanager and loss without trying.
5/3/21-240.5 lbs Emergency gallbladder surgery. First and last attack!
5/14/21-232.2 lbs- started MFP, Keto.
6/10/21-227.2 lbs-adjusted my keto WOE.
My usual seems to be a uptick for a few days before a drop, even though I stick to my calories, carbs, water and exercise for the day/week. Had been losing about 10 lbs/month. My goal is now 5 lbs for the month as it is probably going to slow down soon. I do my Elliptical 3x/week on my days off.

I can't exercise daily as I'm an RN and work long days 4/week. So I'm trying to make up for it on the 3 days, I can. I hadn't used it since pre 10/2015 when I had a Tibial Plateau fracture. I was off work for 7 months using a wheelchair and hopping with a walker for 15 weeks then had to learn to walk again. I only tried my elliptical again one day when it was pouring down rain all day and I couldn't go for my usual 3.4 mile walk. Actually glad now it rained and I tried it. I started at 72 minutes, because that's how long it took me for the walk. I never thought with the 3 plates and 20+ screws, at my left knee joint, I would be able to use it again. It is a much better workout than my walking and it has taken a lot of weight off my heavy legs. They are actually starting to look trim to me.4 -

@swimmom_1 Wow, I am glad @sammcc2 said something as I might not have noticed the detail but you deserve some major props for being able to stay on an elliptical for that long in one day! Good for you3

11/8/2021 - returning from 12 days of vacation! Was hovering around 135 would be happy to be that when i return. Going to get stuff for vegan soups, salads, breads…. Simple meals with many vegetables. Need to try hot lemon water. Need to do some weights to help build muscles to drive my metabolism. Need to keep up my 1000 steps. Goal: 125. I have a closet full of new clothes that i cant wear.6
