If you quit now, you'll end up right back where you first began.
And when you first began, you were desperate to be where you are RIGHT now.
KEEP GOING!
It really resonated with me because even though I'm making slow progress, it's progress that I felt was impossible this time last year. I'm doing it. I just need to keep on doing it.

love this, too! It's so true. i am borrowing it and making copies to give to friends who are getting fit. I am going to post one in my refrigerator...and my pantry! thanks!2

Went out with Son to get him new work boots (He mainly wanted my company.) Drove past a fried chicken place, and I mentioned that I had heard they had good chicken, and that's the closest place near our house for it. We got the work boots, he wanted fried chicken.
I went in, looked at the menu for future reference, and didn't buy anything cause I'd already had lunch.14 -
Planned out my day by noon and recommitting to IF to see if I can stick with it this time. (I know this is an old post. Can't hurt to breathe some life into it.)5

i'm down 63 lbs this time around so far. what has worked is Calorie management and Low Carb eating. I put in my nutritional macros fat 70%, protein 25%, and carbs at 5%. i use them as targets to shoot for in my low carb eating. i mostly focus on low carb and calories and the macros are more or less close by eating from the Keto it simple chart. pick a protein, pick a veggie or 2 and pick a fat. the chart can be googled. on the calories, i try to come in 500 calories low each day eating wise but stay above 1200 calories. i go for 1-3 mile walks and now that i've lost 63 lbs, i've begun bike riding again.9

I like flavoured coffee (by which I mean "flavour steamed into the beans and then ground either by me or by the company ... NOT the "Starbucks et al coffee-shop syrup-added type).
Finished the last of the Pumpkin Spice variety (and no longer available in stores until next Sept-Oct) so have moved into the Holly Daze spirit and picked up Spiced Eggnog and Gingerbread Spice coffees both by Flavours of the World co.3 -
I'm committing myself to no calorie beverages for seven days, starting today, and primarily the only caloric beverage I consume is coffee. I think it'll be an easy challenge.10

I brought my jump rope to work today

I've got a seasonal cold/ flu thing and just feel wretched and want to eat all the sugar and curl up under a duvet on the sofa 😷
But I forced myself into a hot bath and noticed how much extra room I have in there now!
I'm celebrating with a hot chocolate instead of the entire bakery that I was planning on buying 😁18 -

I have the most beautiful bakery dedicated mainly to homemade desserts a 5 minute walk from my house!
I'm ignoring it 🤣

Today & yesterday I ate a few more calories. I tend to be more hungry depending on where I am in my cycle.
So the next few days I'll eat until 200cal more. After I go back to "normal" and do more strength training again too.5 -
I was freezing cold today and made "cocoa" with my chocolate fudge protein powder and a little cinnamon. It actually worked!5

Busy at work an hour later than I usually leave work meant that I had an hour less time to stop myself snacking3

I really fancied a gin and tonic with lunch today 🤣
I didn't do it.

Just because there are warm homemade chocolate chip cookies on the counter does not mean you need to eat one right now.
(They were put away properly once they cooled, and I can afford to have one after lunch.)8 -
Breakfast worked for me today. Cottage cheese and blueberries. Delicious, filling and good nutritionally.
Last night I dropped a can of black beans into the crock pot with a couple of chicken breasts and chili sauce. Served with a half avocado thin sliced. 700 calories, reducible if necessary with less beans. Makes for two large meals, I’m having the rest tonight.
Finding good, easy recipes that fill me up make this a whole lot easier.

Eating a larger breakfast so that when I was shopping and especially when I was standing next to the checkout offerings I was okay and could say, "Nah, not today," get just what was on the list, and go home and have the lunch I had planned.
Normally I eat a lighter breakfast but normally I also don't walk around pushing a heavy cart for two hours. (I shop three different stores for our household.) It has caused a couple very miserable moments when standing in the checkout line and listening to the various things sing to me. This is a much more workable way to do things going forward.
