What's on your mind?

I’m sad.
My heart hurts for friends and family that are going through very serious health issues right now.

I’m sure there are literary analogies that are spot on but I haven’t the patience to look so I’ll use what comes to my mind.
Little bunnies crouched together in their little hole, hiding from the scary.
But they say it’s all scary,
just stay in the hole forever,
or come out of the hole and get back to living?
I am no rabbit.

I am preparing for a HUGE change in my life after the holidays, probably one of the most (if not THE most) that I will have ever gone through. It's going to cause major upheaval within my family. I am such a mixed bag of emotions: excitement to finally have the courage to do it (or at least announce I want to do it), overwhelming sadness, fear, even happiness.7

Wishing you the best with whats to come, hope it brings all the changes you want 🙂2 -
A host of small worries and quandaries, mostly.
Like, why do I have erotic dreams about ex-boyfriends from 20 years ago, but never my husband? The boyfriend in question isn't even that attractive and wasn't a good match for me (the sex was mediocre, too!).3 -
*sigh*
The boss tells me he's still thinking of selling. He just told a client he's only cutting back and there's nothing to worry about.
And clients won't stop complaining so he's like always mad at me for some reason or another.
And I'm in why should I care mode because I haven't had a raise in 3 years and I figured I'd be out of a job soon anyway.
@kosmoskitten They say to take a look at feelings in dreams and not what's actually happening.1 -

Thank you. I'm focusing on the positives of this change , which is asking for a divorce, and not the negatives. Focusing on the negatives is what prevented me from facing the truth and bringing it up before.3 -

It’s much more difficult to fool a woman over 50.
Probably harder to impress her as well.
I guess that’s partially why older men find me scary.
BOO 😂😂😂😂
Young guys don’t care, they are always flirting and teasing me.
But they’re too young.
I don’t feel comfortable flirting with a guy younger than my son, 😂.
Kinda sad really, having a friend my own age to share with would be fun.

I don’t know what it is but something is not quite right with my health lately.
I feel fine other than the fact that I can hardly keep my eyes open.
I could easily sleep all day.
As I type this my sleepy eyes are drooping……..😴3 -
- How anyone in this wide world finds me attractive at all given what I look like, particularly naked.
- That life is annoying; it consistently insists on getting in my way.
- That I might always be mediocre at best. I have nothing to really push or drive me and I lack any and all forms of self-motivation, which is kind of necessary for better health and weight loss.
- Wondering why I am always so cold, despite being so overweight. I thought us overweight people were supposed to be hot all the time. My obese parents always were, so why am I so cold all the time??
- Should I make any resolutions/goals at all for the next year? Not even pertaining to health, but simple stuff like "learning a new crochet technique" or "put out one drawing/painting a month"? I feel rather directionless, purposeless and have for many, many years. I don't feel like it's getting any better as I get older, either.

I just got back from my booster shot... and now I have a weird creeping headache. A pure coincidence, right? Still, kinda sucks.2

Urgh. Your friends have wanted to see you in a better state. I've been trying to motivate and encourage you for years. You've even tried medication. Despite all of this, you keep holding the hand that keeps holding you down. What more could have been done for you????0

Okay, while the technician who gave me my booster yesterday was super sweet, he lied. My experience was almost as bad as the second shot (Moderna). I ended up feeling like I had the flu again, shivering uncontrollably, my feet went numb, couldn't get warm, muscle aches, headache, etc. Bleh.
A little better now, but still kinda feel like a small car hit me.7 -

Oh yuck! I get my booster next week.2 -
Feel better soon @Kosmoskitten! My sister and her dd had similar reactions as you did; they were straight out flat in bed for a whole day.
I got lucky and didn't even have a sore arm out of the deal.0 -

I'm not a big New Year's Resolutions, but I will making a HUGE change in 2022 that will impact so many things: my family, where I live, my work, etc. I am mostly nervous about how my family will react to asking for a divorce, but am actually feeling positive as far all the steps I will need to take to make this work. I'm also feeling hopeful for what the future may bring for all of us.5
