I see how you all have listed all the dates of January in your original post and then are able to go back in to that original post to update your weight on each date. I don't know how to do that so I have to start a new post each time. (I am sort of technically inept...haha. I'm open to hints and how-to's if anyone cares too... )
Today's weight - Jan 2 = 219.8
up 3.3 lbs just since yesterday. I could easily resist the potatoes at New Year lunch but the bread did me in. Anyway, I can feel it's water and just good old fashioned bloat. Nothing a good workout, tons of water, and back on the proverbial wagon can't handle.

Hi all,
Happy New Year, everybody!
A bit more about me. I'm 63 years young (almost wrote 60... don't even feel that old most of the time). I live in Tucson, AZ. Born and raised, never lived anywhere else. Been divorced for 16 years. No current beaus. No past beaus either, for that matter. I am mom to twingles (33 yo son Jeremy and 31 yo polar opposite twins Aislinn and Megan). Jeremy has his dream jobs up in the Phoenix area. Megan's a teacher on the other side of town from where I live. Aislinn lives with me because her mental health issues do not allow her to work. Ais has an emotional support dog, Sienna, who I will probably mention often because she's cute and I take her for walks and stuff, and a cat named Lisa Marie. I "run" (really using that word very loosely) and I bike, although I haven't done much of either recently. I read. A lot. I enjoy a good cuppa tea, Kiltlifter ale (brewed by Four Peaks Brewery in Tempe, AZ) and I had a marvelous double chocolate porter a few weeks ago called Sex Panther (brewed by San Tan Brewery which is also up in the Phoenix area and only a seasonal ale...), and Bailey's Irish Cream. The only one of those things I drink regularly is the tea. Don't drink any coffee. Love the smell, can't stand the taste. I drink way too much Diet Dr. Pepper and not nearly enough water. Megan and I do Geeks Who Drink on an almost weekly basis. I sing with a local community chorus. I love music and I love to dance. And, like this paragraph, I'll probably put more here than you ever wanted to know about me, although I will try to hide most of it as a "spoiler."

βοΈWeighing myself daily is a given for me, so this will be the easiest one for me to accomplish.
Highest Weight: Somewhere between 227-230... I don't know. I avoided the scale.
Return to MFP after ~ 5-6 year absence (June 11, 2020) = 216.9
Starting weight for this challenge (January 1, 2022) = 191.6
Goal weight loss for January - just back into the 180s somewhere would make me happy at this point.
01/01/2022 β 191.6I spent most of the last two - three months eating my emotions, stress, depression, and anxiety. I did get some exercise in today, made my 20 minutes, even if I froze my *kitten* off doing so. Some people wouldn't think it was that cold here, but it was wet, windy, and less than 45ΒΊ which might as well be below zero for this desert rat. LOL I can almost tolerate the less than 45ΒΊ if it's dry and not windy, but the rain and wind did me in. I did track my food today... something I hadn't been doing much of for a good portion of December. I did NOT meet my calorie goal. And I got "me time" by staying up until 3:00 a.m. with a cuppa tea and a J.D. Robb book. (I've never been diagnosed with depression or anxiety, so it was mostly just general feelings of being nearly overwhelmed by my daughter's MH issues spiraling to the point of my being fearful for her safety and wondering if we'll have to put her in the hospital again... and feeling guilty because I don't know what to do or how to help her anymore than I have. And feeling even guiltier for sometimes thinking she's not doing enough to help herself. It's also financial s***, and just a general blahness over everything and feeling as if I'm a major failure at life. The latter is something I really need to work on much harder than I do but... chocolate and cookies are so much easier than convincing myself I'm not the loser I've come to feel like in recent months. I will do better. I will.)

I'm Mary 64, 5'4" from Pennsylvania. My goal is to get back down AGAIN to 122 lbs. Kept it off for about 5 years and then got lazy. My body just stores Carbs too easily. I work long hours and exercise on my 3 off days/week, making up for my 4 work days. I started this challenge in November and will continue through December and January. Most of adult life I was between 145-150. Went back to school 6 years ago to change jobs. Weight crept on then. It has been a yo-yo cycle since going from 157-170. This time Iβm focusing more on it being about healthy living with the perk of weight lose instead of being all about the number on the scale. My diet can be horrible, tons of unhealthy junk (chips and candy) and processed foods Iβm trying to eliminate as many processed foods as possible.

The tough days keep coming, but it didnβt stop me from waking up early for a walk today! I intended to go to the gym and try to jog/walk for an hour, but instead went outside for a walk in the fresh air for 45 minutes. The walk definitely helped and Iβm really looking forward to it being a routine. But, with this new routine, I completely forgot to weigh myself before I ate breakfast! Happy to see the loss after making cheese fondue last night...just kept my portion small-ish but was still able to enjoy the treat with my family. That's my current way of eating plan...anything but in moderation. I've been very restrictive with my eating in the past and for me it is not sustainable.
