Joining in! I need to add some accountability, hopefully that's the missing piece. It's been a real struggle this time just to get my calorie intake down.

Hiya! I am using 1st Feb to arbitrarily get started. Been in a terrible rut for the last 12 months and my weight has crept up as my motivation has slipped down (I suspect I’m not the only one?). Back to MFP as it is the only thing that’s worked for me in the past:

    SW - Feb 1: 157lbs

No GW for end of Feb. I just want to stick to within my calorie counts, take one day at a time, and trust the process.

I struggle most in the evenings (tired, bored and seeking reward) - so will turn to MFP/this thread to distract myself! Thanks for organising.

Excited to see some new folks - thanks for joining us! Like a lot of us, I've used MFP on/off for several years, and I've lost (and gained back, plus some) weight during that time. This time around is the first time I've used the forums, and posting here daily really is the thing that's kept me from snacking at night, or ordering carry out when I don't feel like cooking. I do have a cheat day on Saturday, so my weight goes up once a week; but knowing the rest of the week it should be going down really stops me from the chips, or cookies. I do have those things, but I work them into my daily calories. Hopefully this thread will help you as well - not in a shaming way, but in a gentle nudge to make healthier choices. And look, we all have birthdays, or a work event, etc, that means occasionally you have to eat differently for a day or two. Weight goes up/down for all sorts of reasons too. Just know that if you stick to logging your food, staying in your calorie count, and making healthier choices, you'll see an overall decline in that number. That's what we're all after. <3

Feb 2: 161.8 lb. I really need to stop over snacking in the evenings if I want to lose 5 lbs this month. My kid's goldfish crackers are easily accessable & dangerous! A slippery slope of not counting every bite/calorie. Today's goal= COUNT EVERY BITE!

@brittgreenlikethecolor88 I'm that way with popcorn, especially white cheddar Smart Food popcorn. I'll weigh one bowl, and then I am face first into the bag. Even though it's not terrible for you, the quantity I need to satisfy my popcorn lust makes it dangerous. :)

Happy Thursday, everyone! Those of you in the US in the path of this winter storm, please be safe.
