Just some additional information, not to scare you....but, Facebook, if the user has properly secured it, puts the photos behind the password and two-factor authentication. This means, not just anyone from anywhere can view all of the photos. This forum is not even password protected, let alone using two-factor authentication.
Frankly, I am completely baffled as to why MFP does not secure the forums. You have to log in to comment, but NOT to view these.

I do TRULY LOVE MY JOB so.............. GOOD NEWS!!!
Well… I sorta went off on KellyC (poor thing) cuz she’s the one who I’ve worked with for almost a decade and she’s the one who showed me the room. Asked her if she'd talked to KellyM (principal) yet and if she'd included Sharon (my boss) because I was "not happy" and had had a terrible night last night and was already looking for a new job or retiring. YUP... I told her, then I also gave her my issues with the room and some other things, again poor thing, cuz it's not her fault. SO........ I got this email response from her!!!
"I am so sorry you felt horrible after yesterday. I talked to Kelly M. today and she forgot to tell me that the district buildings/grounds people came over on Friday and said that it could not be used as an office space even though it had previously been used that way. You will be in a new office that is being built across from where my old office was located. So in that locker bay there are going to be offices added on and that is where you will be. It isn't built yet so there is nothing to show you but that should be better. I hope that makes you feel better. She felt horrible for not connecting with me sooner, but they had to figure out plan B. Our Sped staff originally was going to have this new office but she made the change to it being for you."
THANK GOD! So it’s first floor, right down the hall from KellyC, right down the hall from the AT library where I work with her, just down the other hall from the lunchroom and bathrooms and staff center... so it will actually be just about perfect and it will be brand new!
Slept so much better last night. Thank you ALL for your words of encouragement and love and support. As I said, I really, truly do love my job. I just didn't like who I was going to be working "for" in the future, at that moment. (even though, being in her building, I wasn't ever going to be working "for" her... Sharon, Sped Director, will always be my boss... thank GOD!)
Carla........... peacefully happy again, in MN
GREAT news!!! Sounds like it will be a perfect fit.2 -

Sasha, our red poodle, is approaching her 15th birthday which is old for a Standard Poodle. She is the last of her litter that we know of. She is starting to slow down and can't always jump up on the bed without help. She sometimes tires earlier than before on her walks. We have always known that she won't be with us forever but it is starting to feel more real now. For two days she refused to eat anything but treats. Then I remembered something someone had told me and I defrosted chicken breasts, cooked them with no seasoning, fed her some small pieces then added some to her regular food and now she's eating again. We are living life one day at a time around here (as usual).

Going to pack up the baby quilt pieces and send them to my cousin in CA. She has volunteered to put it together and finish it for me. I love to crochet as it relaxes me but quilting involves too much math and precision and just makes me anxious so I am glad she will do this.
I go in Friday morning for an MRI of my ankle. It has not been quite as painful lately but have been staying off of it more. We switched and have been putting the horses in the pasture at night. Then my DD lets them in in the morning and they stay in during the day. That way I don't have to walk out in the paddock.
Karen - your brother's picture is beautiful and I love the colors. Does he sell his work or just paint for his own enjoyment?
Carla- glad you will have a new office.
Everyone take care, Sue in WA4 -
Worked today. Bowling in a few. Went to ceramics last night.
Tracey – Denise called yesterday to make sure we got home OK. I mentioned about being there for Labor Day and she started with the “I don’t know what’s happening. It’s so far in the future”. Well, we have to call Pete for father’s day so maybe I should mention that we hope to be able to come up Labor Day weekend since we mentioned it so far in advance. I’m sure what Denise is thinking is that she’d rather go to the beach. Lucky me will only get to see PJ one day this year then. I’ve invited Pete et al to come here this summer, but I’m sure they won’t. Michaela is some artist!!!!
Rebecca – naked photos….ROTFLMAO
Lisa – hope Corey gets better fast. That is SO unlike him to call in sick
Carla – how soon do you anticipate that that building will be built? So glad you’re getting a new office
Lisa – OH NO! At least you won’t have to pay for the new crown!!!
Hi Heidi! Welcome
Vicki – I don’t know if it would cost more to add PJ to our room. I inquired about that and was told that they “couldn’t do it on their end” that we’d have to go thru Choice.com. You can be sure we’ll never stay there again! The reason he couldn’t swim? Liability! So sorry about your husband but glad that he’s OK
Sue WA – I don’t mind practically any other craft, but I absolutely HATE quilting. I don’t find it relaxing at all. I know some people do – I’m just not one of them.
Called the MD’s office about my tumor. I think I was supposed to call sooner. It looks like I should go every two years. Why they didn’t call to remind me, I don’t know. Anyway, it looks like I’ll need an MRI and their nurse has to set it up so she should be calling me back.

G and I had pizza under the awning. All good until we were just about to leave and a torrential monsoon started. The high road was a river and you couldn't see across the street. It lasted about 15 minutes. I got splashed, but I anchored my brolly sideways and it protected me from the drift. I walked home in the sunshine.
G was telling me about the show she was going to this evening, which is political discussion with a comic edge. She follows all these people I have never heard of on podcasts. She is a passionate fan. It made me think of the quote I posted this morning about not really knowing everything about a person. It was as if she had opened a locked door. I listened.
I too have my private door with the people I follow on podcasts, and Instagram, who are all in the 'personal growth' area. They are my private 'tribe'.
You are all another private door that I rarely explain to anyone else, though it is not a secret. I have belonged to this thread for nearly ten years. Most people find it baffling.
All give me inner sustenance. In my new book, WHERE AM I?, which is coming out in July, I talk about the Lover-Shadow that I compulsively pursued for much of my life. In a way, this inner life, which is not visible from the outside, is a different kind of Lover-Shadow. It is always with me.
All of us are walking around with worlds in our heads that no one else has access to. I try to share some of it in my books, but it only skims the surface. My phone, and all its algorithms, knows more about me than anyone on this earth.
Scary.

Yes and these forums and threads are very public and very easy to search using Google or other search engines.
Our Group might be slightly more private.
A lot of forums are open to view but require a login to post.

Lisa – one of the things that I want the landscaper to do is to make the incline from the street to under the power lines less steep. There is no way on this green earth that I’d cut the grass as it is now. When I had to use the tractor (when Vince had the cataract surgery) Mr. OCD kept telling me how I wasn’t cutting in a straight line. I just said “well, we’ll get it next time”. Like I could care less if the weeds under the power lines aren’t cut in a straight line!

Barbara - Michaela is a wit. She is smart and doesn’t miss a thing.
She was telling me what the Oiler’s and Avalanche had to do if they wanted to go on to win the series. The games are all on past her bedtime so I don’t know how she has learned so much.
Allie - I hope your brother has a successful procedure.
Machka - I love that “never go home again”. I had that as my profile picture for a while on FB
Kelly - I admire your ability to do so much.
Lanette - you are jumping in with both feet on the mowing and yard work. I agree our summer seems to be playing peek a boo here too. The Farmers Almanac says we are to have a cooler than normal summer. I hope they are wrong, but they are usually right.
Heather - that’s is so true, I know there are things that no one knows about me.
Carla - what a great email to receive, huge sigh of relief.
I am currently in one of my favourite offices that I’ve ever worked in only because it has a window that opens!!!!! It’s tiny, but fresh paint and and the window helps tremendously.
Another favourite office I had was a corner office on the 10th floor of an office building downtown Edmonton. The views were gorgeous. I ended up in there due to a fluke for about a year, it was the VP’s office.
Barbie - our fur babies are precious to us.
Michele - I do hope that you get to visit in September.
Heather - I agree the algorithms of our phone knowing us more is scary.
I had my gyno appointment today, she did a biopsy but doesn’t feel that there is anything for me to worry about. She believes the issue I was having from October to January was hormone related.
I applied for 3 jobs tonight. I applied for the position I originally saw, but when I logged into Indeed there were two others that I just couldn’t overlook. All of them pay at minimum 4.00 an hour more than I’m currently making and all have benefits and such.
I am not really expecting a call on any of them as each of them has a program that I am not familiar with. It is good to apply and keep my resume up to date though.

After dinner went to Aldi. I was in and out in less than ½ hour. To think, I used to find food shopping such a good experience. Now? I look at the prices and want to cry.

Good Morning ladies Phew managed to catch up
I'm going into town today with mum - it will be the first time she had used her new mobility scooter (she traded her old one for this newer model with suspension ) Looks like the weather will be warm and sunny. I've been having a bit of pain in my knee lately so I'm hoping I can manage the walk there and back without trouble. I've noticed when walking the dog that I can manage about an hour walking before my knee starts to hurt.
Nothing much happening in my neck of the woods, doing the same old routine. Not sure what is going on with my sleep pattern though, I am wide awake in the early hours tossing and turning, finally falling asleep when it is time to get up and feeling tired most of the day. My energy levels are non existent, I even had to have a rest after vacuuming yesterday! I usually have more energy when the weather is sunny.
I know it's been put to bed and don't want to drag it up again, but I love seeing pictures of all the grandchildren and love to see how they are growing up.
Barbie it is so sad when our fur babies get old and frail
Had more to say, but as usual time is running away with me and I need to get ready for my shopping trip
Take care and love to all

Yep, me too. Kind of glad no one is in my head!
I like to try to confuse the algorythms by looking up something completely random sometimes.
I wander through my Google Account and Facebook Account from time to time and turn off the things I do and places I go so that I don't get personalised ads.Snowflake1968 wrote: »I am currently in one of my favourite offices that I’ve ever worked in only because it has a window that opens!!!!! Favourite Offices
My favourite office was this one. I was at the far end and the whole wall behind me stretching across 4 or 5 offices was a sloped window looking out over the fields. We each had so much room! Plus I could cycle there (35 km round trip) and there was a storage place for my bicycle. In the middle of the building was a mezzanine looking down on a kitchen and eating area. There were huge plants around that area ... it was like a conservatory.
My next most favourite office was probably this one. I had to share it with the big printer and scanner, but nevertheless, the office was private and had a window that looked out on my bicycle. Again, I could ride my bicycle there (13 km round trip).
Of course, working from home has been right up there too.
I've had jobs I haven't been particularly excited about, but I don't think I've had an office I would call really bad. Some have had bad elements ... like the office that was built ages ago and had this and that added or removed at random. Turned out I was sitting on a section of underfloor heating that had been installed one year and it just kept getting hotter and hotter. But building services couldn't figure out how to turn it off!! Finally they had to do a serious search because they started to fear that the underfloor heating might spark a fire. My department finally moved out of that building when they found loose asbestos.
Or the one where I sat next to a guy who gave a sharp cough once a minute.Snowflake1968 wrote: »I had my gyno appointment today, she did a biopsy but doesn’t feel that there is anything for me to worry about. She believes the issue I was having from October to January was hormone related.
I think I've had that biopsy a couple times.
For me, it was polyps and precancer = D&C and a cancer treatment.
Hopefully you're OK.Snowflake1968 wrote: »I applied for 3 jobs tonight. I applied for the position I originally saw, but when I logged into Indeed there were two others that I just couldn’t overlook. Hello peeps - I'm new to this but wanted to post that I have dropped 41 lbs and goal is for about 30 more. Have been sort of stuck on a plateau since the first of May. Continue is a good word for me - trying to just keep on with the plan and ramping up the exercise. It's so freakin hot here that I wish I could move to Vermont or Maine for the summer!! That would be so nice. Praying for no hurricanes this year. This summer will be kinda bleak - depressing - gas is now $5 a gallon and food has gone up so high - trying to stay on budget is not easy as inflation is killing us - so no road trips planned. Hope you are all going to have a safe summer.
