Good Tuesday!
I got a lot accomplished today at least as far as Stihl pricing all updated.
Here are the pictures I promised from my DGD's Grad party.
All four grands. Nice to get pics of all four together.
My graduate! She and her best friend made the clover crown at the party. I hadn't seen that done since I was a child. I don't think my daughters ever made them.
Work paperwork to do, but wanted to check in.

My Grands parents gave me permission a long time ago to share pictures here and on FB.
I am cautious about what may be seen later as embarrassing to the kids though.
Machka - I read the article you shared and want to thank you. I have now shut off the geotagging, I didn’t know that was a thing. I have the location services on my phone shut off most of the time, but still. I’m always careful about not sharing their full names, schools, activities, etc. I do that for myself too. Here’s a secret, I’m not actually in Edmonton. I know you have an idea where I live though since you are familiar with the area.

Beth - my husband knows about all of you as well. Probably more than he wants to truth be told. Some health scares that have been shared on here has made him change some of his behaviours.

I don’t think I was able to post pictures the first time Michaela went to ceramics with me. I had said to her while she was painting, “that’s great work for a little girl”. Her response was, “I’m not a little girl, I’m an artist”.
The cupcake was her first ever piece of ceramics. I touched up in two little spots.
Pip - I love the refurbishing you are doing.
I went for a 1.96km walk tonight. I was walking in the yard to make it to 2.0 when the rain started harder than I wanted to be in.
I finally have my gynaecologist appointment tomorrow that my doctor referred me to in November. I don’t know if there is any sense in going now, but will just the same.

While it’s great seeing others’s family pictures. I never have or will ever post pictures especially of my under age family members on an open forum. No FB. You never know.. who is lurking? Too many children go missing.3

I try to be cautious about putting info online, especially now with the facial recognition software. That's why my profile picture is my dog Teddy, alongside a pet rabbit. I'm probably on the paranoid side.

The metadata and geotagging thing was something I learned when I participated in a photography forum. To participate in their contests and things, they wanted us to post the photo AND the metadata. I did that for a while, but it kind of turned me off. I could understand why ... they wanted to take steps to ensure it was your photo and not something you'd grabbed from the internet, especially since there are legal issues with grabbing photos off the internet. But that metadata can kind of put your information out there.
Sort of related ... one of the first things I did when I got my phone back was to remove all the photos. They're backed up so I've still got them but they're not on my phone anymore. I have taken more photos since, so I have got a few on my phone, but not many, and I'll download them much more frequently.

I have no children or grandchildren of my own, so enjoy my mfp pals’ grands vicariously. I would be sad to miss those pics, but if their parents preferred not to have them posted to a public forum, like Rita and others, I’d have to respect their decision. Otherwise I’m with Lisa.

I have my location details turned off on my phone, as far as I know, for my photos. I hope that works.

Morning ladies
Im up and dressed. Going to watch munchkin boy..
I did have my GP up my antidepressants so im hoping that gets me up and going more..i take Zoloft or the generic and take it at night... well I must say I slept like a rock last night.. although I didnt sleep the best the night before so maybe that was it.
Im having a cup of tea this morning.. its been awhile for that..
DB has to get a covid test today he goes to get the oil bubble taken out of the back of his eye tomorrow... then he has to lay low for awhile..
Second bought with detached retina.. after this hopefully he get get the cateract done.2 -

Morning all! Happy Wednesday!
Wow! What a lively discussion! lol As someone who works in the childcare field, my social media pages (facebook and IG) are filled with photos of my childcare children. For me, it is good advertising and also a way for families ( and their extended family) to see what the kids are up to, each day. BUT, I also have a photo/image release form that parents need to sign before I can post pictures of their children. I have had parents decide that they don't want their child's photos posted online, and I have respected that decision. When facebook first began, I was a bit leery about posting pics of children online (because of people with nefarious ideas towards children); but in thinking about it, I realized that I own a childcare home. My site is listed publicly, I am pretty well known in my area, and all you have to do is pass my house and see all of the "kid" evidence to know that there are many children at this house. I do what I can to keep them safe; but we still take long walks, explore the area, field trips, play outside... There is a large part of me that feels that in showing others everything that we do, perhaps it can let other providers know that they can do some of these things or let parents know that there are quality providers out here to care for their babies. I also had to have permission from my DD to post pics of my grandsons.

Machka- Thanks for posting the "safe photo" link. I know I had my photo settings set for privacy on my old phone, but I am not sure it is set that way on my new phone.

Allie- regardless of how Carmine reacts to your positive affirmations; keep giving them. The way I read their words, it sounds more like they are a bit embarrassed by your words (but they ARE listening and will remember them). One more week without your bed sounds much better than two-three more weeks without it. Good job staying on top of them.
Carol, Tracey, Rita, Heather, Kylia- Thanks for sharing pics of your families! Like the rest, I look at them all and think "Wow! Time has flown! I remember when..." Wonderful to see all so happy and healthy!
Well, the sky this morning was a stunning purple and orange. It has now settled to a lovely golden yellow as the sun comes up a little higher. It is about 60F, here; but rain is moving across the lake and according to the weatherman, we will be getting rain all day. Yesterday, the kids and I planted our raised bed garden (the co-op between the MSU/county program). We planted radishes, carrots, and watermelon. The green beans will be planted "tee-pee" style, next week. The kids hovered over that raised bed all day; waiting for the seeds to sprout. lol I had to explain over and over that it is going to take a couple of weeks before we see anything growing.
Aside from one last visit to the store to pick up supplies for the food tent at the historical event (this weekend) I have everything all ready for that. Finally! Hard to believe, that after all of the planning and work, that in three days we will be going full steam at the event and in five days it will be over and I will be resting/getting ready for childcare. It will be so nice to not have list upon list to be tracking, doing, crossing off. Shopping list, packing list, prepping list, home/childcare list.
