ashleycarole86 wrote: »@deepwoodslady That's a lot of info to digest. How are you feeling about everything? Glad you have some follow up coming up as well.
@ashleycarole86 Feeling a bit relieved that we will get some answers after the tests. Doctor says he cannot begin to diagnose until he actually "sees" the heart (ultrasound) and sees how the heart reacts to stress/activity (monitor and needle stress test). He doesn't think pacemaker "yet" but answers will come. He really thinks it is probably the chemo I went through that did the damage. I have no idea if we are talking ventricle damage, bad valve or restricted arteries. Nervous...... In the meantime the advice is to lose weight to help with the breathing. Watch my carbs and fat for cholesterol, try to get myself on less meds because of their side effects. He said the best way to lessen my meds is to lose the weight. But we know that already don't we? LOL Anyway, I finally logged yesterday. I will try to do that everyday but probably won't bother on travel days as that is a lost cause. But 90% of my life I am at home so that is going to make a HUGE difference if I will just follow through!3 -

Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

I hope for answers.
06/14.…..206.2…..(Trend Weight 204.8)….. A week filled with much car-sitting travel. Chinese last night didn’t help this mornings weigh-in. I’m seeing the heart doctor today (more travel from this rural area). I’m sure he’ll insist on weight loss. Probably just the push I need to get back in control.
06/15……206.8…..(Trend Weight 205.1)….. Cardiologist yesterday. All my medicine basically doubled for blood pressure and cholesterol. So….on the 27th I have an ultrasound on the heart and on that day they will also place a heart monitor for me to wear at home for 2 days. On the 29th, back to the hospital where the monitor is removed and they will do the stress test without the treadmill because I can’t breathe with exersion. 4 hour test involving needle where they put something in to activate heart. Those 3 tests should give us some answers. Doctor says anything from an infection that got into my bloodstream/heart, diabetes issues, to my chemotherapy I had could have caused this. He suspects the chemotherapy. Follow-up for results in July. I hope to see a better readings soon on the scale, even with so much travel on the books coming up. It’s doctors orders.
06/16……204.2…..(Trend Weight 205.0)….. I logged for the first time in awhile yesterday. I kept it under my calorie and carb allotment. Then, after closing, I had a bad glucose drop and stuffed in an extra 200 calories but remained under 1600. 96 degrees yesterday in northern Michigan which is highly unusual for our area. Advisory to stay inside but I don’t have air conditioning. Low level movement. Low calorie burn. Low steps. Low activity. However, nice TMI this morning and almost 6 hours of sleep so both were a nice contributing factor.

@deepwoodslady Are you in the UP or simply northern Mich? I live near Ann Arbor, I spent summers in the UP growing up. 96 is odd for that area, it was pretty brutal down here yesterday! Good luck with your health issues!1 -

@joans1976 I am in northern lower michigan. I'm in a rural area about 1.5 hrs from Alpena. I go down to Ann Arbor quite often as most of my drs are at the univ hospital. Now that they have bought so many facilities across the state I may be able to start going to alternate places which would be much closer. West Branch would be closest. Midland is about 3 hours away (which is closer). Saginaw about 2 hours away or a bit more. Finding out more about mid-michigan health system as I go. However, my breast care will continue in Ann Arbor for sure.
Yesterday in the heat I just pulled in as much cool air the night before, then spent the day with curtains drawn to keep the sun and heat out. I did very little and burned barely over 2000 calories for the entire day. I am surprised my weight dropped that much. I really didn't sweat much so we'll call it fat loss okay? LOL3 -

June 6 240! Not good! (I kayaked for 4.5 hours yesterday. At the end, I went through some big rapids, flipped my kayak and couldn’t get my head above water the current was so strong and my kayak was on top of me. The bottom of the river is covered in big rocks, so my body took quite a beating. I’m very sore today but just glad to be alive)
June 7 240 (still really sore from the kayak flip, hoping this is inflammation)

06/13.…..205.6…..(Trend Weight 204.7)….. Travel today for my friend’s dr appointment. Also getting in some shopping while in the city. Weight down a touch today but bound to go back up with the travels out of town today and tomorrow. I still need to move more but my breathing remains labored. Tomorrow is my heart doctor appointment.
06/17.…..203.2…..(Trend Weight 204.8)….. Another good drop, but this time without a glucose incident. Yay!!!! My meals and snacks had been spaced out good, but not necessarily my calories spaced out right. I fixed that yesterday (hoping it wouldn’t happen during the day when I lightened my calories and saved some for at night). At least for yesterday it worked. I do feel motivated at this time and that always makes it easier to stick to my guns and see some results. I hope to keep up the good attitude and the strength it takes us all to achieve our goals.

June weight lost so far: 4.5 lbs ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️
Weight lost this year: gained 5 lb
My goal this month is to focus on my calorie intake. I can't handle the huge swings in the scale. I weighed 182 on Sunday and now I am 189. That is too much for me to handle. And I know it will go down quick but it is freaky to me.
My weight goal back to 180 lbs.
June 1 189 lbs yikes 😬
June 8 185 lbs Wednesday weigh in. Well back at it. Less activity this week because of more errands to do. Been tracking my food & calories. I have been eating a lot of bread after dinner. Eliminate that for next week
June 9 185 lbs no change but no bread last night.
June 10 184.5 lbs ⬇️ And day 2 without bread at or after dinner.
June 11 184.5 lbs. I fell of the wagon on to 3 slices of raisin bread after dinner.🤨
June 12 184.5 lbs.. had an argument and added a bag of BBQ potato chips to make it better. NOT
June 13 184.5 lbs
June 14 184.5 lbs
June 15 184.5 lbs not much change. Been doing a lot of physical work around the house but eating the equivalent in calories.
June 16 missed no scale
June 17 184.5 lbs just happy I haven't gained.

At the end, I went through some big rapids, flipped my kayak and couldn’t get my head above water the current was so strong and my kayak was on top of me. June 5-158 lbs Too many carbs last 2 days and sure it's water retention with them too. (Why do carbs have to be so tasty and addictive?) Did my Elliptical today, 167 minutes for 13.11 miles. My plan was to do another session later today but now my motivation is gone. Probably why I am better at long first sessions. I did add "girl" pushups, planks and just hanging from my son's pull up bar. To increase my strength. Not that I'm weak. (I'm a nurse and I pull even big guys up in beds for a living!) But I can always get stronger. Build up my muscle mass to burn more calories and fill out the flabby loose skin!
June 6-160.2 lbs A number I was hoping I would NEVER SEE AGAIN. :-(
June 7-161 :-( My own fault. Too many carbs. Did 188 minutes on my elliptical for 14.25 miles today and pushups/plank.
June 8-161 lbs
June 9-161 lbs
June 10-160 lbs Nice surprise because it wasn't because of me. Did 180 minutes on the Elliptical today for 14 miles.
I started feeling ill Monday pm. Cough, fever; 102.4, stuffed up. Took a Covid test Tuesday pm and it was negative. Fever down now running around 100. Today after the elliptical my nose hasn't stopped running. Took another Covid test in case other one was too early but this one also negative, Thank God. I had my vaccines and 1 booster. So I was hoping it wouldn't be that, but others with the vaccines have still gotten it. Just a REALLY ROTTEN late Spring cold now with sinus pressure and eyes keep watering. :-(
June 11-161 lbs Did Elliptical, 210 minutes for 16.3 miles. Feeling better than the last 3 days, hoping to feel even better tomorrow!
June 12-161 lbs. Did Elliptical 211 minutes for 16.2 miles. Feeling even better today. Mild symptoms now and back to work tomorrow.
Been MIA. I had to go to work everyday this past week, so first I have time to post. I did login though each day. No off days, so no exercise till today.

At the end, I went through some big rapids, flipped my kayak and couldn’t get my head above water the current was so strong and my kayak was on top of me.
