I’ve got my calories and logging under control, my macros somewhat under control, my water intake under control. Now, I want to lower my sodium intake and up my daily step goal! I have a doctors appointment at the end of the month and would like some good news….I know I have a long way to go but I have to get there some time.

    OSW: 250
    UGW: 150
    CW: 220
    8/31 GW: 214
    Mini goal: 218

    8/1: 220
8/2: 220 Increased my step count ✅ Stayed under my sodium goal ✅
    Sore back today 😞
8/3: 219.5 Met my step count but didn’t increase, went 45 mg over sodium 🤷🏻‍♀️
    8/4: 220 Under step goal ✖️Under sodium goal✅
8/5: 219.5 under step goal✖️over sodium goal✖️Work was a nightmare, barely slept, ugh! 3 days off now, hoping to decompress and reset!
8/6 219.5 Yesterday was a really tough day, didn’t hit any of my goals except water
    8/7: 218
8/8: 218 I have hit my mini goal of 218 and this means I have gone from Class 3 Obesity to Class 2. I have mixed emotions about this….
8/9: 219 just a pound, I can deal with it
8/10: 219 Hit my step goal✅ Under my sodium goal✅
    8/11: 218 Didn’t even remotely hit my step goal✖️ Under sodium✅
Yesterday was tough. Worked a silly long shift and ate way under calories. It was time for bed and I was so tired but I still needed to eat 400 calories. I’m aware this is not a healthy, sustainable way to lose weight. I just couldn’t do it, bed won out. Hoping to make up for it today or just move on.
    8/12: 218 Oops, not a stellar day, didn’t make step goal ✖️was over sodium✖️
However, I’m on vacation until 8/22! Plans fell through so it is a staycation but I have plenty to do! So happy!
8/13: 217.5 Increased my step goal✅ Stayed under my sodium goal✅ Yesterday was a stellar day, lots of swimming, lots of walking, ate great, went to bed happy! Staycation agrees with me!
8/14: 217.5 Literally did nothing yesterday. Fed the cats and took two naps. Did not increase my step goal✖️ Stayed under my sodium goal✅
8/15: 218 Increased my step goal ✅ went way over my sodium goal ✖️
8/16: 217 Increased my step goal✅ Under my sodium goal✅
8/17: 214.9 (!) Met my step count but didn’t increase✖️Way over sodium✖️Looking back I can see I’m not really hitting my goals this month. The weight is coming off which will help with health but I really want to improve my heart health. I’m going to try harder but it’s already a challenge when you are watching calories, macros, alcohol, sodium, steps, exercise and weight. I don’t want to get burnt out!

    8/1: 185lbs
    8/2: 186lbs ⬆️
8/3: 184.5 lbs ⬇️ Wednesday is my usual weigh-in. Nothing to add. A bit overwhelmed by pending appointments this month. Then travel by air with my 83 dad with Parkinsons. Fretting already. I know that is not helpful healthwise. But take a deep breath and move one foot forward.

    8/9: 188 lbs ⬆️⬆️⬆️
8/10: 185 lbs ⬇️⬇️⬇️ Wednesday regular weigh-in. This week I finally sorted through some of my mom's pictures. Being more active using the treadmill. Still overeating at dinner. Lots a things to work on.

8/17: 185 lbs Well back to my August start weight. Finally put to rest an item not so pleasant that happened in March 2021. I didn't think about it every day but it was always in the back of my mind. Roof being reshingled and another item checked off. Nothing to do about calorie intake but deals with my emotions that is a catalyst.
8/24: 184.5 lbs. Small dip into the right right direction. Been off the radar because I am scared 😱 😨 to step on the scale. My daily accountability has been lacking.
8/25: 184.5 lbs Made sure I stepped on the scale.

08/24-200.6-(Trend Weight 200.3)- I forgot to pull the water pill from the day before’s cubby (because I forgot to take it the day before) so now I am several days without it. Can’t take it today because I am traveling to cardiologist. My weight is up (probably related) from starting point by 0.4 and that is a disappointment. I’ll take it for sure tomorrow and I will watch my dinner out today! I hate when I can’t get my steps in when that is just about the only exercise I am approved for right now!
08/25-199.8-(Trend Weight 200.2)- Onederland! Trying to figure that one out. Travel yesterday with very very little movement. Restaurant meal. Normal (not enough) sleep. Normal TMI. No water pill yesterday due to the travel. However, I was up & down all night going #1. I guess my body deided to finally get rid of some fluid retention in my ankles on it’s own so that must be it. So…cardiologist said absolutely no exercise including taking walks! I honestly thought I was approved to at least do that! I am supposed to be re-introduced into everything while being medically supervised (in case of another heart attack). They are especially worried because I still cannot breathe well with exertion. So I must attend cardiac rehab for probably 12 weeks. Of course, that will mean a lot of travel since we don’t have anything like that around here. I’m very disappointed. They are sending me for dopplers on my legs to look for blockages due to some symptoms, my vascular issues, my lack of pulse in the left foot, and my high glucose diabetes. That will be mid September. They are also sending me to a pulmonary function test in mid-October to make sure there isn’t something different going on with the breathing. My lung nodule appears to be stable so maybe COPD? I did smoke for 35 years but I quit 15 years ago! Anyway, sharing what I got in the case that it helps someone go get that medical care you need. Difficulty breathing which is different from before when you exercise? Call your doctor!

I'm Christie, an Aussie, mum to the BEST three year old in the world (I am not even biased). I absolutely need to get serious about my weight and stop "treating myself". I had lost 15kg from my initial starting weight, but then started working from home and became less active through the day as a result. I'm finding it hard to get my rhythm back even though I'm back to working on site now. I've gained back too much of that 15kg loss. I plan to go back to basics because I KNOW it works for me!

My name is Ian and I am a 62 year old male from the Midlands of the UK. I am 6' 0" tall. I have a number of health conditions which prevent me from doing aerobic exercise and I take medication which as a side effect lowers my metabolic rate and increases my feelings of hunger. I can't walk so use a mobility scooter. As a result my weight loss depends totally on calorie intake reduction.

My initial target is 100kg, to move from obese to simply overweight. I would like to get my waist size below 40" too.

    Today's update:

    14/8:106.3kg Waist 44½"
    15/8:105.1kg
    16/8:104.3kg
    17/8:103.9kg
    18/8:104.0kg Calories: 1237 Body Fat: 35.0%
    19/8:104.1kg. Calories: 1238. Body Fat: 34.8%
    20/8:104.1kg. Calories: 1277. Body Fat: 35.1%
    21/8:104.0kg. Calories: 1243. Body Fat: 35.3%
    22/8:103.6kg. Calories: 1286. Body Fat: 34.8%
    23/8:103.9kg. Calories: 1254. Body Fat: 34.4%
    24/8:103.9kg. Calories 1246. Body Fat 34.6%
    25/8:103.9kg. Calories 1267. Body Fat 34.2%
    26/8:103.3kg. Calories 1257. Body Fat 33.7%

At last, a big drop today. Water loss, but body fat still reducing. 3kg lost so far

08/26-200.6-(Trend Weight 200.3)- Easy go, easy come. One thing is for sure. NO MORE ICE CREAM IN THE HOUSE!!! Sorry grandson but I am not strong enough for that yet and NO PART OF ME OR MY HEALTH needs it. Mommy will just have to take you for a cone.

    14/8:106.3kg Waist size 44½”
    15/8:105.1kg
    16/8:104.3kg
    17/8:103.9kg
    18/8:104.0kg Calories: 1237 Body Fat: 35.0%
    19/8:104.1kg. Calories: 1238. Body Fat: 34.8%
    20/8:104.1kg. Calories: 1277. Body Fat: 35.1%
    21/8:104.0kg. Calories: 1243. Body Fat: 35.3%
    22/8:103.6kg. Calories: 1286. Body Fat: 34.8%
    23/8:103.9kg. Calories: 1254. Body Fat: 34.4%
    24/8:103.9kg. Calories 1246. Body Fat 34.6%
    25/8:103.9kg. Calories 1267. Body Fat 34.2%
    26/8:103.3kg. Calories 1257. Body Fat 33.7%
    27/8:103.6kg Calories 1242. Body Fat 33.0%

Still managing to keep to calorie target and macro targets too. Good to see body fat slowly falling too.

I'm the same, ice cream is one of my biggest pitfalls too. I can't have it in the house either. Once I know it's in the freezer I find it so hard to resist.

    8/18: 214.9 Step goal✖️ Sodium goal✅
    8/19: 213.9 Step goal✅ Sodium goal✅
    8/20: 213.1
    8/21: 213.1
    8/22: 213.9
8/23: 213.1 Not hitting my step goal but hitting my sodium goals. Going through some personal stuff making me sad.
    8/24: 213.9 Not enough movement
    8/25: 213.8
8/26: 213.8 Doctor appointment today-bloodwork I’m not happy about will be discussed

@joans1976 I am just wondering how your bloodwork went and how the discussion went with the doc. I, myself, have lots of room for improvement. I am definitely a work in progress.
