Just got my blood work back! My glucose went from 113 six months ago to 96. My cholesterol went from 230 down to 188. My creatinine went from 1.1 to .9. Now this is the thing that had me most concerned... my kidney function went from 59.1 to 84 EGFR! I'm healed! I'm not at risk for diabetes, I'm not at risk for a heart attack or strokes, and my kidneys aren't failing. This exceeds my hopes even. But I'm not done yet. Who knew testing normal could be this much of a relief. Six months ago I was obese, pushing pre-diabetic, and I was on path to having a heart attack or stroke in the next few years...I was also obese. I am none of those things now. Praise God!19

Almost lost my pants on a walk yesterday! My keys and phone were in one pocket, and I discovered they were pulling them a lot farther down than they should have been!!! Guess it's time to retire those pants....

I’m in a size medium in my workout pants. I started this in the same brand in a 2x.
2nd NSV is I got a rowing machine for my birthday (46 today!!) from my husband. It came with a 30 day IFIt trial and the IFit also goes on my treadmill. So their are walking tours again on my treadmill I had no problem keeping up with the running parts today on the “ghost tour” one…
It went so well that it’s actually making me rethink if I should be putting a little more pep in my step… maybe I should be jogging or running? Last time I tried was about 70 pounds ago. Then my problem with couch to 5k was in my feet hurting. I’m kind of hopeful that maybe I’m light enough I could start jogging now. I was going to wait until I hit a healthy BMI to attempt it.15 -

With very little pre-training, I participated in a 5K yesterday. Way at the back of the pack but did it. At the end they had random prize drawings, and I won the grand prize! A massage! Yay!! And surprisingly, not sore today.15

I had a total scale victory yesterday, which felt amazing, I’m still riding that high and feeling the joy this morning. I decided to try on a bunch of shorts I purchased this summer for a trip abroad and basically all were too tight and uncomfortable and I didn’t take any of them. However, last night I tried a bunch of them on and loads fit, comfortably - they just slid on and did up!!!! Like what! It’s amazing what 6kgs will do, and helpfully I now don’t need to purchase any clothes if I go somewhere summery over Christmas 😊

Yesterday I went out to our favorite farm for the day. This is a farm we go to every year. We spent the day pumpkin picking then playing. In past years I would get very tired and sit on the benches while my daughter played. This year was very different. I was running with the kids without getting winded and the only time I sat was when we took a break to eat lunch. It was a great feeling!26

I forgot to mention with this: I kept thinking to myself looking at it, "It looks good, but it doesn't really look like me." Like, no, it DOES look like me. This is what I look like now. My mental image of myself is about 30 pounds heavier. I'm excited about how I look. Never thought I'd get to that point.12 -
My NSV is since October has begun, and the parade of food holidays is on our door I made an interesting decision that I did not see coming: More vegetables! I was trying to see where I can fit in some favorite planned out candy, and decided that something that would make this so much easier is more vegetables.
In fact, I got so excited about vegetables on my shopping trip - I forgot to buy the candy! I think I should remember the next shopping trip!19 -
My husband and I were sitting at the bar at a restaurant having an after dinner drink. There was a mirror behind the bar and I almost didn't recognize myself! I said to my Husband "Damn, I look good" and he said "You sure do!"25

I bought full size candy bars for the trick or treaters. The fun size could be problematic for me..I am good at portion control and could eat just one, but don't need the extra few calories of one little piece here or there ---because they will add up by the end of the week ......anyway the store also had christmas decorations and right there I decided since I want to bake and eat a few Christmas cookies, I will forego the Halloween candy! who knows by December I may change my mind and decide to save myself for Valentine's day!

I donated blood here at work for a blood drive, when they took my blood pressure, it was 117/79. It hasn't been in the "normal" range for a long time. I've only lost 33 out of the 100 pounds I am aiming for, but it still felt pretty amazing!30

I had an overwhelming craving for a sushi bowl and Uber eats gave me a $20 off promo AND my favourite sushi bowl place had buy 1 get 1 promo. The deal was amazing but I was able to resist the urge to order it since it’s high in carbs, they put a lot of sauce, and there’s sugar in the rice wine vinegar, which would go against my keto way if eating.
Ended up snacking on smoked salmon and cream cheese instead to kind of fulfill that craving.

Yesterday my shoes feel too roomy. They were tied as tight as I could get 'em. My daughter is thrilled because she now knows what I need for Christmas!
