Debbie-nothing to say regarding Destiny except prayers for her and family.
Kylia-glad nothing invasive on heart stuff. It is pretty amazing what they can do with testing these days. Yes the boom did make the news-but you will not have seen me in any story nor quoted-I prefer to stay out of spotlight when I can!
Machka-All of the stuff will be on the contractor. They have proper insurance. OSHA will have fun with this. I will have next to no involvement-we have attorneys and insurers that cover our interests. I do want the young men to heal well and learn from this.
Allie- I think that is funny about Alfie and animal shows. One of my cats occasionally seems to be watching the iPad with me in bed, but she doesn't talk back to it.
Rita-after I got my new mattress (really seems to help me), I check out pillows. I have had two cervical fusions (late 90's early 2000's) and neck gets sore sometimes. I ordered this one from Amazon: https://a.co/d/fdoRWY8 I really like it.
Lanette-I would love an easy fix! The chicks are cute.
Doctor believes my fatigue and dizziness are from Covid (he has seen quite a bit of that). He is a bit more stymied by the cramps. He did basic neurological exam and things looked good. He managed to hit the arthritis in my foot and knee (how do they always do that?). He is doing some bloodwork to check vitamin levels, electrolytes etc. Gave me a short script of muscle relaxer to use at night to try to get stuff released. He said with my strange thyroid numbers that could be impacting it. He also said he wouldn't count Covid out because it is a strange little virus. I will let you know the final outcome. I am going to lay off walking distances until I loosen up and focus on balance and stretching for a few days.
So I am now going to hobble into kitchen and get it cleaned up. And tomorrow-I just have to check some emails and monitor phone-basically whole day off! (got to use some vacation or lose it).
Take care all,
Ginny in Ohi

I had a lovely relaxed day. I got my Latin prep done and several other projects were worked on.

📍Solid habits✔️
📍general chores✔️
📍Latin prep ✔️
📍work on art display✔️
Virtual (((hugs))) and 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 for all those those who need them.

March Action for Happiness:1. Set an intention to live with awareness and kindness. I intend to live with awareness and kindness23. Tune into your feelings, without judging or trying to change them. I am fully in the moment, relaxing, and contemplating what I will have for breakfast, and how I will spend my day. DH has gone out for the day so I am free as a bird so to speak. (My natural bent is positivity. I choose to be happy in the moment. I acknowledge all my feelings, but on the rare occasions when I feel down, I choose to count my blessings, put in some music and dance.)
2. Notice three things you find beautiful in the outside world.Trees silhouetted against the sky; the appearance of snowdrops in spring; the sound of waves breaking on the shore.
3. Start today by appreciating your body and that you are alive. I meditate on this each morning when I wake up, and am grateful for each new opportunity to have a good day.
4. Notice how you speak to yourself and choose to use kind words. Positive affirmations are very powerful. Be kind to yourself, always.
5. Bring to mind people you care about and send love to them. We chatted with our girls about other family members, and raised a glass to them.
6. Have a ‘no plans’ day and notice how that feels. I will do this tomorrow (7th)
7. Take three calm breaths at regular intervals during your day.Resisting the temptation to plan my day. Serendipity reigns today.
8. Eat mindfully. Appreciate the taste, texture and email of your food. ✔️
9. Take a full breath in and out before you reply to others. I’m a great advocate of deep breathing, and find this works well.
10. Get outside and notice how the weather feels on your face.I wasn’t looking forward to going outside this morning as we had snow overnight and it seemed very cold. However, the sun shone in a clear blue sky, and the wind had dropped right down again, and I spent time with my eyes closed feeling the heat on my face before I went into the centre for Latin Study.
11. Stay fully present while drinking your cup of tea or coffee. Always! Gives me calm thinking time.
12. Listen deeply to someone and really hear what they are saying. When I tried to do this with DH this morning, he got distracted by a discussion on What the Papers Say on TV. 😝 However, we often have in-depth discussions, usually over lunc and dinner.
13. Pause to watch the sky or clouds for a few minutes today. The sun was valiantly trying to break through rain clouds just after sunrise, but the forecast is for heavy showers, but I’m watching the blue patches in hope that it clears up.
14. Find ways to enjoy any chores or tasks that you do.Doing the task isn’t the problem 😝 It’s getting started that’s difficult. I sometimes put on my favourite music, or listen to a podcast.
15. Stop. Breathe. Notice. Repeat regularly. Having coffee after putting away the week’s groceries. There is pink blossom on my prunus purpurea, magnolia buds are beginning to colour up, tulips and daffodils in the containers outside the window are beginning to bloom. There are lots of little birds flitting about in the trees. Spring is doing its best to banish the winter cold. This is a regular joy in my life.
16. Get really absorbed with an interesting or creative activity. I am preparing some paintings for a display of my Monday Painters work
17. Look around and spot three thing you find unusual or pleasant.Today it is more like autumn tha spring. There is a thick sea mist. My usual view of countryside is reduced to about 500 yards. Everything looks damp and grey.
18. If you find yourself rushing, make an effort to slow down. Took things slow and easy today. Planning to do the same tomorrow as it’s Mother’s Day in UK.
19. Appreciate nature around you wherever you are. My writing desk has a lovely view of the countryside beyond houses. And there are lots of bird life flying about amongst the trees in the neighbouring gardens..
20. Focus on what makes you and others happy today. My writing, and my art always makes me happy, and sharing it with like-minded people makes them happy. That means that today was filled with focusing on what makes myself and others happy.
21. Listen to a piece of music without doing anything else. ’Love Affair’ - Rainbow Valley. (NOW! That’s 60’s)Hubby came home and disturbed me 😝
22. Notice something that is going well, even if today feels difficult. My prep for the art display next week is going well. Most members have already given pieces for display.24. Appreciate your hands and all the things they enable you to do.
25 Focus your attention on the good things you take for granted.
26. Choose too spend less times looking at screens today.
27. Cultivate a feeling of loving-kindness towards others today.
28. Notice when you are tired and take a break as soon as possible.
29. Choose a different route today and see
what you notice.
30. Mentally scan your body and notice what you are feeling.
31. Discover the joy in the simple things of life.1 -
Debbie, thinking of Destiny and her loved ones. Sending thoughts and prayers for her all all the family.
Karen, thank you for the information you gave Mary on visiting New Orleans. It is on my bucket list and I will save the information in my "bucket" travel folder. I've never been to New Orleans but have been near many times and love the food and the gracious people I've met.
Lanette, I was in our farm store and saw chickens and thought of you. Exciting and fun.
Barbara, hope you are on the mend..
Katla, whenever you talk about dogs, I smile because you're a dog lover.

Good evening ladies!
Today I ate 1104 calories, for a deficit of 431. Yay!
I did my dumbbells plus ten minutes on the bike plus horseback riding. Yay!
Tomorrow is weigh-in. I'm looking forward to it. I had a very good week.

My first dog was a cocker spaniel. I named him Trigger, after Roy Rogers’ horse. I’ve been horse crazy ever since I saw Roy Rogers on tv.
Schooner was a Keeshond and was our sweet old boy. He passed away in my lap. 💔
We’re not able to get a dog where we currently live. We plan to hunt for a pup when we move to a dog friendly place near our daughter.

Betsy & Karen My husband was in the food service business his whole career and we used to go to food shows all the time. We are thinking of taking the food walking tour of the French quarter. We will probably go on our way back home.

How much do I tip the person who brings out my grocery order?
Itemizing deductions netted more than $2k increase in OR state refund, not bad for two days work.
Will leave house, masked, tomorrow for first time in a week. Recycling, coffee with D and my first ever grocery pick up.
Welcome @tigerlinly !
Thanks all for the well wishes.

Ginny - So sorry about the workers! Burns are just the worst... and sorry about the supervisor as well. Not a good day... Falling from the cramps is scary as all get out, hope you didn't have any injuries from the fall. Definitely need to make sure your doctor knows about those leg cramps.
Onward and upward my chickens!
Love y'all,

Yeah, I burned my left foot to the bone in November 2001 and it was 5 weeks before I could walk or go to work. It was horrible ... so incredibly painful.
I really hope these workers' burns aren't too bad.

We had such a good time last night - friends had invited another couple to the fancy restaurant here (Oscar’s), but the other couple couldn’t come, so we were invited…and we had a blast! Bo is 88 and Barbara is 79. Bo is a retired attorney and Barbara is retired from the FBI. It was a great evening.

Barbara - Zero here too.
Done my exercises and 600 words this morning.
I've tried twice to ring my friend A in Wales at this time of the morning, when I've finished my work, but no answer. I must try another time of day. She is hopeless at technology, so other methods of contact don't work well.
My friend L has covid again, but is surviving. I'm not feeling up to listening to her at the moment, so I'm pacing myself. There's only so much stuck record I can sympathise with. She does have brighter days, so it's not all gloom and doom.
Beth - You are so right. Our bodies are wonderful messengers. We must listen carefully to what they are telling us. We ignore that knock at the door at our peril. The knocks just get louder, until they blow the door down. Go inside. Listen.
So many times in my life I ignored messages that were staring me in the face. No more.
