May 15: 65.17 kg / 143.7 lbs - given up on eating back my workout calories, it's not happening. I'm okay with being under as long as my energy levels and mood are good
May 22: 64.44 kg / 142.1 lbs - steady food logging and eating pattern, increased exercise. Within 5 kg (11 lbs) of my goal weight now
May 29: 63.94 kg / 140.96 lbs - rate is slowing down a bit, which was to be expected. I'm happy with it and with the way I feel. Not too far from maintenance now.

I've been slowing a bit down, as I felt really tired. So despite eating at almost maintenance calories, I still lost a little bit, which is really good. I'll be on holiday the coming time, so I won't check in next week. No logging, but extremely active, I don't expect any gains except maybe some water weight from the flights.
May 1: ON HOLIDAY !!
May 8: sick while on holiday - urgh!
May 15: 73 - So I've gained about 1 kg since before the holidays. I started to get sick halfway through (flu, covid, who knows), which means a lot less activities and then getting home I've been sick in bed for three more days. Activity is below zero as I am still very tired. Not feeling sick enough to stop eating though... But I know that weight loss happens in the kitchen and fitness happens at the gym, thus I have no excuse for not eating right.
May 22: 72,7 - I've been hovering around this weight for 2 months now and I'm getting really comfy around it. Which is good as I feel really good in my skin right now. My stamina is great and I feel in great shape. The big risk is that I will get complacent and that 72,7 will become 73,5 in no time, and then 74... I've been here before and my goal the coming weeks / months is to nip that in the bud and still lose a bit in order to keep my mindset in the right direction.
May 29: 72,6 - haha, it seems my maintenance has started too early!! Still 2 kgs to go before entering that phase, I need to step on the gas now.

05/23-197.0-(Trend Weight: 195.5)- I’ve really put some thought into this and decided it is a cross between laziness and depression. I just don’t feel like meal planning or cooking. I have a grab ‘n go mentality right now. When my depression sets in I really have a hard time following through with anything. No focus. Feet dragging the ground. A bit listless. I don’t have the energy to exercise, or plan, or research or do any of those things I normally do. I’ve really got to pull this together.
05/30-194.2-(Trend Weight: 194.8)- A nice improvement this week but it feels like I’m a million miles away from the 180’s and I touched down there and need to get back! Lots of work ahead of me but I feel up for it today now that all the nearby holidays and celebrations are over.

I’m traveling about 70 miles each way to a new movie theater today to see The Little Mermaid. It’s much closer than where we usually need to go to see a movie. It’s supposed to be high-tech with the reclining seats and food trays. I can’t wait to see both the theater and the movie! I gotta watch that popcorn though!

Well, I didn't lose, but I didn't gain either, so that's something! My clothes are fitting better, so I think I have been body recomping, as I have been weight training for a few months. I have upped my steps and included a morning walk into my routine, but have also been eating more calories, so it's giving me a good idea of what it's going to take to stay at maintenance. I really want to lose 10 more pounds, but I'm finding it hard to stay disciplined in the evenings.

I'm lucky that my last April weigh in was so much higher than my first May weigh in, or else I would only be showing 0.6lb loss this month! My weight has been pretty stable for the whole of May, partly due to muscle gain from lots of strength training, but mainly because my diet has been less than perfect. Too many treats and too many adult drinks, the problem is when the sun comes out there's too much fun to be had! I have a holiday at the end of June so will miss the last weigh in if this challenge, so the 19th is my focus and I'm going to give it a big push to finish strong.

June 5:202 Ibs, gained 2 lbs this week, should be at 189 lbs today, from start weight of 207 lbs. Had another give in, even though I have pretty much stopped smoking for about 7 days in total from May 24, 2023. This is the first time it really feels like it is going to stick. Not pleased about weight, but I guess it is a bit of a trade off for now. Hoping to implement meal and exercise goals this week. Still haven't been exercising or doing meal planning Tonight, I am going to make some meals ahead for week, chop veggies, casseroles etc, even if I cook into the wee hours. Bit of an insomniac at times Have a positive week, fellow, weight loss travellers!
