I went to the parade today with our eldest and the grands. It was nice, the Grands were over the moon with the amount of candy that had thrown at them. Their Mom told them it will be doled out over the next couple of weeks.
Other than that I didn’t do much. My house is a mess and I sat outside and read.
Oh well the mess will be there tomorrow too.
Pip - so glad you are ok.

I'm sad today because my Aunt died. And I'm frustrated because my Dad announced he is going to the funeral but doesn't realize he can't go alone. I texted my sister who might have to come out and take care of mom so I can take dad to the funeral. We are waiting to hear when the funeral will be. Meanwhile my mom is claiming she can stay with her sister, but that leaves Teddy alone. Her sister has enough on her hands anyway. I'm hoping my sister can fly out from Tennessee. I guess it's normal for things to be jumbled at this point, but I'm rattled.

Sorry you're having to deal with this. It can be complicated.2 -

Annie: Hugs and condolences. 💕💖💕
Rebecca: Congrats to your son.
Gosh! You are all so busy. There is seldom enough time to do all that we would like. I try to go with the flow.
I’m planning to try a rhubarb scone recipe this morning. DH loves his rhubarb and there is loads in the garden. I’ll let you know how they turn out later..
This weekend it’s ‘Sea Bangor Marine Festival’. We went down to the marina, and the seafront was heaving with people. Luckily we have free parking at the marina as our boat is there, so we had a quick tootle around, then had coffee on the boat.
We are having an extended period of very fine weather at the minute so will be in the garden most of today. Planning to Skype with family after lunch.

Went for my 5k this morning. I managed the whole thing, with a couple of sit downs to watch the sea. Weather absolutely glorious.
On the way back, it had warmed up enough for the streets to be filled with the scent of roses. I buried my nose in this ripe beauty. Glorious!
Called in at the deli to pick up tomatoes and feta for tonight's dinner. Couldn't resist other delights! Large field mushrooms called to me, huge garlic, and some beautiful shallots.
Now cooling down while listening to the Archers on the radio, and getting ready for my phone call.
So pleased to have got back to normal with the running.

Continued my garden project, but without the mattock. I'm digging up bulbs in a section so that I can use the mattock to dig the area deeper and wider ... then replant the bulbs so I have a spring display.
And cycling inside ...

1. Decide to look for what’s good every day this month.
I have been enjoying coding during the first 2 days of the month. That's been really good.
Also the 25 flights of stairs a day.
2. Say positive things in your conversations with others.
Chatted with a work friend about our gardens first thing this morning.
Smiled and thanked people as usual.
BTW - thanking the bus driver at the end of a trip is a thing here.
3. Re-frame a worry and try to find a helpful way to think about it.
Where do I even start? A single worry?
There are so many worries rumbling away in the background but I try not to think about them or dwell on them.
I try to focus on the good days or even good moments.

Hello all! Taking advantage of a quiet Sunday morning to chime in. The historical event that I am a part of will be taking place next weekend. So, between prepping for that and working this week, I will probably be MIA until the 12th of this month. This past week, I have been watering our lawn each morning. (Hasn't rained in over two weeks). We don't have underground sprinkling, so it is me, moving a sprinkler, about 12 times at 15 minute intervals. It has been in the 80s/90s the past week, so even with the watering, our yard and plants are still a bit scorched. Of course, the next forecast for rain is this upcoming weekend (our historic event). 80s and rain. Oh well, if you ask me, 90s and sun is much worse than 80s and rain. I have to wear period correct clothing. (Long skirts, muslin longer sleeved shirt, bodice, apron, hat)
Pip- Yikes! I wonder if he was in rut? The deer around here get a bit aggressive during rutting season/spring. Glad someone was able to step up and save you and the pups.
Debbie- Glad to hear about Destiny's numbers rising! Sorry about the cancellation of the triplet's party.
Machka- Love to see how you get your exercise in each day!
Heather- DYS and I went to the VanGogh exhibit when it hit our state. It was a 2.5 hour drive for us and we ran into that tornado on our way back. Fun exhibit though.
Rebecca- Happy to hear about your son! What a relief, huh?
Flea- What a fun concert! Kudos for your hubby! Nice surprise!
Annie- (((Hugs))) to you. Sorry to hear of your Aunt's passing. I hope your sister can come and help get your dad to the funeral/stay with your mom. The logistics of emergencies are exhausting!
Allie Loving the pics of Myles being Myles! Big hugs to you and your family as you all find peace. Finding care for both of the kids.
Barbie- This might be the first I have commented in June; so thank you for bringing us to this month! You have made my gratitude journal more than once, simply for pushing me to focus on gratitude daily! One of my favorite quotes or semi quotes is...focus on the little things; it's all little things. My daily gratitudes seem to be the little things. Some days the most I can come up with is the simple fact that I had one less poopy diaper to change. lol
Well, there are more of you that I want to chat with; but everything has left my brain as I have had to get up a few times, move the sprinkler, answer questions from DH who has woken early (and grumpy)...it is what it is. Catch up with everyone next week. I will try to read a bit every morning. ttfn xoxoxo KJ (Kelly)

Congrats to your son, Rebecca!
Annie, so very sorry for your loss.
WOW Pip! Glad you weren't hurt and someone was there for you. Lucy is a cutie.
Oh Heather, such good and bad. Love the cake and VanGogh. Sorry about DH and his daughter.
Debbie, so sorry you had to drive just to find out it was canceled.
Prayers for Destiny.
Love and Blessings, Carla, in MN4 -
Good morning Ladies. Yes, Lucy is a sweetheart! Vet appointment is on Tuesday so should know how old she is then. She was trimmed when we found her. Don't know what in the world happened that she ended up in our yard. Someone obviously cared enough to trim the dog so it is a puzzle for sure. I notified our local pound, our county office and also another town office (we are located between two rural towns). Also got in touch with a local vet as they handle quite a few lost/found (it's not the vet we go to). No word from anyone. If owner was looking for her in our area I'm sure I would have heard so I'm going on the assumption that she was dumped. Vet will check her over, vaccinate and we will arrange for a spay probably some time in July. I think Lucy is loving her new home!
Not planning much today as it showered a bit overnight. Think I will clean the inside of my vehicle as it's pretty dusty from travelling on our gravel roads. Managed to hoe my entire garden yesterday and cut the grass in our yard. I use a ride on mower as the yard is large and takes a couple of hours to mow.
Hope everyone enjoys their day.

Poor yogi, he hurt his paw somehow, not broken but he won’t be walking today. I will stay behind with him and Lucy while hubby takes chispas out to the canyon. Limping pretty bad but he can still hop on the bed and that’s a good thing10 -
