My name is Donna. I am 63 years old and I live in the Midwest of the US. I am 5โ 5โ tall.

Goal Weight: (5 pound loss) 193.2
End of Challenge Weight: xxxxx
Ultimate Goal Weight: 145-155 (Iโll know it when I get there!)
Mini challenge: My monthly goal is always about 5 pounds per month. HOWEVER, I never seem to make that. I will continue to keep that goal because it Should Be achievable (even though it is not for me) but never say never, right? So, Between Independence Day Holiday (July 4th) and Labor Day Holiday (Sept 4th) I will weigh somewhere, ANYWHERE in the 180โs. I donโt care if itโs on the brim. Iโve got to start getting further away from the 200โs again! Starting Weight on 7/4 is 195.4.
Weight in blue makes me blue because itโs a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because itโs a loss. Weight in black means no change.
07/01-197.8-(Trend Weight: 197.4)- Today I am celebrating my sonโs 27th birthday and my oldest grandsonโs 17th birthday who were born on the same day. There will be food that is out-of-plan so the key will be portion control. A new month always feels so hopeful. Iโm starting with a small drop on the scale which feels even better. Letโs make July a banner month, my friends! Good luck to everyone on your individual goals. Happy Canada Day to our Canadian friends.
07/08-195.8-(Trend Weight: 196.7)- A nice drop since the start of July. Iโve already went through a holiday and two birthdays and some travel since the 1st of July so Iโll call myself proud so farโฆโฆ Trend weight has been looking good too. I am on a new personal challenge for myself. It is listed at the top in red. On paper it is very do-able. In reality, umโฆ.wellโฆ..hmmโฆ. Losing it is hard enough but keeping it, wellโฆ. Thatโs just a whole other ball of wax, now isnโt it? But Iโll cross that bridge when I get to it. For now, Iโve got to focus on inching that scale down in a healthy and sustainable way.

@takinitalloff Thanks. I always drop a lot really fast once I actually start controlling portion sizes and cut out snacking on junk.
@deepwoodslady It means stay-at-home-mom. I'm more like a stay-at-home-gramma now. My youngest kids are 17 and about to turn 13 so they don't really need me much, but I babysit my 4yo grandson several days a week.3 -

Nice loss, did not expect it. I have been doing a little of experimenting with my eating this week. I have been doing 20/4 IF (intermittent fasting) and I have stopped consuming sugar (except for sugar in fruits and veggies), so no added sugar. I have noticed that my hunger cravings have gone down and my energy has gone up. Hoping the rest of the month goes the same way : )

Hiya all, I'm Rowan. My weight has been up, down, and all over the place over the last 10 years. I gained loads during the pandemic then managed to lose over 40lbs in 2021. I regained 26lbs in 2022 by taking my eye off the ball, it really doesn't take much for me to gain weight! So back again, working on getting back to a healthy weight and building my strength and fitness.
Ideally I'd like to be below 130lbs as that was my weight in 2015 and I felt good, but I'm a lot older now and it's hard!

Total loss for July Posting a few days late as I was out camping at a fair since Wednesday. Looks like I'm doing OK maintaining; not bad for being at a fair and eating so much tasty food for several days. If I drop farther back towards the goal I had, that's fine, and it's also fine if I don't. We'll see how it all goes.

Took a break for a few months from the challenge but I am back. I really enjoy the accountability and find I push myself more when I join the monthly challenges.
