Morning all, I am tired of feeling icky. I am ready for normal. Then baby girl was acting sick last night...slight fever. Ready for health. Can't get in to see Dr for a couple of weeks, so I have to do what I think and hope its right . LOL. Good news is that I am not eating all the food in the house and therefore not gaining. LOL
@fabgeekmom Welcome to the group. I love homemade Ice cream. My dad made the best. So glad you got back in your routine. That's the secret I think...moderation and knowing when to say no. Good job on no loss no gain...
@gemwolf110 So sorry about the date...yeah I am with you...I try to tell my 5 year old always wash your hands when you come in the house...it's just a good rule...you never know what the other person's hygiene is and who they have come in contact with. LOL You have the perfect mate out there...you will find that one person!!!

@fabgeekmom I have an ice cream maker and love homemade ice cream (it's so much better than store-bought), but I haven't made any in a while. Congrats on maintaining when previously you would have gained! That's great that you are so close to your goal.

Hi all. My migraine is better today but yesterday, I was totally wiped out from it. I joined the YMCA online and will go to a stretch class this morning at 7. I'm going to a personal shopping appointment at Macy's this morning as well. Just getting a couple of outfits, I think. That's my Saturday!

Happy Saturday All!
Busy morning with groomers, errands and going to my nieces first ever soccer game. She’s 3 so it’s more watching a bunch of kids run around a field or away from field. It was cute. My niece was a bit shy or just hungry and wanted a nap. It was almost noontime for the game and most kids were having meltdowns or getting sick. Was very hot and humid.
Relaxing now, going to read a book in a few. Class is over. I think I can assume I got an A since I got an A on everything. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Hi, all. I hope everyone is well. I swam laps today at the recreation center. The water was warm and it felt good to swim. Swimmers is the exercise that I do that burns the most calories. I’m not able to do anything strenuous due to my arthritis. No food challenges today. So far I don’t think my son is making a dessert. We do have ice cream from last week but just enough for everyone to have a taste.1

I’ve been away from here for far too long. Bad habits are the norm again. I’m heavy and lethargic and sore. But today I will do a short exercise and I will track. Hope you are all well.

Hi, all. I hope all is well. I am finishing my coffee. My son ordered some flavored coffee from Gloria Jean’s. Now I’m drinking butter toffee. I have a milk frother and I froth unsweetened vanilla almond milk. @trooworld maybe you can make salmon cakes with the leftovers.0

@trooworld yes I exercised and yes I tracked!! Was only a hundred cals over goal which I’m stoked with. I’m exercising a little again today but have a cardio test this afternoon so don’t want to push too much (hahaha which is my excuse of the day 🙄). Feet are still messed up which I have an appt about in two weeks. Maybe finally some answers.
An unusual day today but should be food safe with what I’ve packed. Fngers crossed for another good one.

Afternoon all, Well I am feeling like me today, still sore in the throat, but I think it's because I have to sing the baby to sleep..LOL. No exercises until I see the Dr, but I just keep moving and not sitting a lot.
I have a good walk from the car to the school play yard and back in the AM, so gets my blood going.
@fabgeekmom My family loves salmon. I can't stand it...I cook it for them and yes they love the cakes too. My mom cooked them, I am just not a fan. Great job on the swimming. I laughed butter toffee, I could see a big cup of butter with toffee on top. I know that's not what you have, but in my "cartoon" mind that's what I saw. LOL. hope you enjoyed it!!
@Tamevv So glad to see your post again. We all take mini breaks from time to time. It's good you are taking the steps to get rid of the aches and soreness. Our bodies really tell us when we don't treat them right. LOL
@trooworld I have a recipe for air fryer salmon. My family loves it ( you know I won't touch it) So they tell me when to keep a recipe...and then they laughed at the title because I don't cuss...so I have attached the link to recipe. LOL. I would say the zoo was good exercise!!

Hi, all! I hope everyone is well. I got a good night’s sleep last night, too. That makes all the difference. My husband put some light blocking curtains on our sliding glass doors and the room is so dark! I get up several times to go to the bathroom but I have been falling asleep faster. I think it’s the curtains. Today is a swimming day. We have burgers from last night for lunch and we’ll have a pork recipe from America’s Test Kitchen for dinner.1

Morning all, I wish I could say I had a good day yesterday, but I went to bed angry. ( I try not to it's not healthy). but it is what it is. I realized I didn't take a pill I should have taken at bed time because of it and then I was even madder at myself for letting things effect me. Good note is that yesterday, first time in a long time it seems that my BP was low and my heart rate normal. One of the meds they put me on makes my heart rate really high...so I said I am not taking this. If it makes me feel like garbage I am not doing it. We will see, but today I am motivated to get some things done, so that is a positive thing.
@trooworld Yes it sounds like your body needed rest. Our bodies were designed very uniquely and glad you are listening to it. Today is a new day...who knows maybe your body needed the fast food to put you to sleep..LOL
@Tamevv Good job for going to check out what is going on with your health. You are taking charge of it and that is a very positive thing. I pray you get the right answers and your Dr has good wisdom and sound advice for you.
@fabgeekmom I love that you use the left overs for the next day lunch. I hear in my head waste not want not. Hope you enjoy the swimming again too!!

@trooworld Pretracking is a skill I learned from doing WW. It really helps. swimming was good yesterday. The pork dish was good and filling. I had leftover pork so I marinated it in soy sauce and ginger. I’ll air fry it for lunch. I’m going to Sam’s Club today. Lunch and dinner are Skinnytaste recipes.1

Last night I made Dijon honey chicken tenders from her air fryer cookbook. Also the lemon potatoes from the same book. I have all the cookbooks and it is so nice not to convert them to points. A new one is coming out Tuesday and I have preordered it. It’s a 7 or less ingredient cookbook. Today is a swimming day. Not sure about lunch, possibly a turkey burger. Dinner is scallops, rice and salad.0

Morning all, I didn't do great yesterday...BUT I gave half of my ice cream to my DH...I would NEVER do that. YET I made blueberry banana bread in the bread maker and it's a keeper. LOL. I think my DD ate almost all of it..she told me this morning that I can't make bread anymore.
@fabgeekmom I have so many cookbooks, now I just look online. It's great you found someone you like and I like the 7 or less ingredient!! Yum Turkey Burgers!!!

Hi, all. I hope everyone is doing well. I finally lost .5! It took me a month to lose that. When I was on WW, we had a Connect group called the turtles. That’s me! It didn’t help that my son made ice cream every week during August. I really don’t need to lose any more weight but I’m going to keep on plugging away. The holidays are coming and I always gain a few pounds. In January I might add calories.0

@trooworld All that sounds good, the exercise, time with your sister in law, healthy food shopping and the meal. Last night we had grilled ribeyes and a salad from ATK. I used extra arugula so I would have less dressing. We’re going swimming today. Tonight we’re eating Thai food. I order a tofu noodle bowl. Not sure of calories but I track it as tofu pho.1

Hi, all. I hope everyone is well. @trooworld I love going to different restaurants. I’ve never eaten French food. A burger is a always. My son and I went to San Diego last year and loved it. We ate some good food. Dinner last night was good. I didn’t eat all the noodles as I was full from the vegetables, broth and tofu. I am going to the recreation center today to use the recumbent elliptical. Dinner is at my daughter’s house. She cooks healthy so it will be easy to stay on my diet.0

Dinner last night was good. We had Skinnytaste cheeseburger soup and garlic sticks. Healthy and easy to track. I woke up early in the night and couldn’t go back to sleep. Hopefully tonight I will sleep better. @trooworld birdwatching sounds fun. Too bad you and your husband didn’t feel good. The burgers sound good. It’s nice that your husband cooks. Mine doesn’t, but he does most of the cleaning: vacuuming, bathrooms, floors. And my son says we don’t want him to cook!0

Hi, all. I hope everyone is well. I’m eating breakfast now. Coffee with frothed unsweetened vanilla almond milk, air fried toast with cinnamon (647 bread) , scrambled eggs, muscadine grapes and baked figs on my toast. Last night I prepared salmon and we have some for lunch today. Tonight I am making Skinnytaste chicken nuggets. I’m also getting her new cookbook today. @trooworld your quinoa bowl sounds good. Unfortunately my husband and son are not fans. But there are other foods they eat.0

Hi, all! My granddaughter stayed with us last night so her parents could go to a concert. She is 11 and very easy going. I made Skinnytaste chicken nuggets from the website for dinner. They had cauliflower in them but we couldn’t taste them. She said they were very good. We have leftovers for lunch. Today is a swimming day. I’m making burgers from a Skinnytaste air fryer cookbook for dinner. As you can see, I am using a lot Skinnytaste recipes.0 -
@trooworld The Asian meatballs sound good. My husband doesn’t like ginger so when we make something like that we give him something else. My cousin made some spaghetti a few months ago and after inviting us over she gave him leftovers to freeze. That has been his alternate meal. Last night I made the Skinnytaste Gouda cheeseburgers from the dinner air fry cookbook. Lunch yesterday was the nuggets I made Tuesday night.

Morning all, so sorry I haven't been posting. It's been a hectic week. My morning routines have been rushed and well so have my days. I was given the clear by my Dr this week, so I am going to try to start walking again and doing hand weights. I had a Turkey burger for dinner last night. I haven't had one in years. It was so good.
@fabgeekmom all your meals sound Yummy. I will have to check Skinnytaste out! So glad your grand daughter liked the nuggets. I need to try that, my 5 year old will only eat FF nuggets and that is the only "meat" she will eat.
@trooworld Sorry about your tomato plant. I had to buy a tomato yesterday...I was so craving fresh vegetables. I would love a garden, but no time to try it now. LOL I laughed at the pug story.. Thanks I really needed a laugh.

Hi all, I want to tell you, I made my self lock myself in my room after taking baby girl to school and did 30 min exercise on my treadmill and hand weights. I said to me....I am important and my DH can handle the baby for that long....I will just have to continue this mindset.
@trooworld Well I think you did great. I love Bobs and am thinking of cutting off my hair as well. I have a full head of white hair past my shoulders. Every time I go to get it cut I hear from the person cutting it...but your hair is beatiful, love the color! So I don't. LOL. Hopefully my sister will be back on here soon, I think she is still on vacation.
@fabgeekmom Is a recumbent bike like what I used to call a stationary bike? I had to do that for therapy when I broke my knee a long time ago and just couldn't make myself do it after that. LOL, same reason I don't really do water aerobics.

@cbabie Yes, recumbent is like a stationary bike but not upright. I like it because it is laid back and the seat is comfortable. It helps with knee and hip arthritis. The recreation center has a recumbent elliptical that I like to use.1

Morning all, I didn't eat all that well yesterday, but I woke up feeling better today and realized I am getting better each day. I was on a med and I chose not to stop taking it. I think we should listen to our bodies and not the Dr's.
@fabgeekmom I totally get the picture of the bike now. Thanks for explaining it to me. Yes I bet that is better. That med that I was on was for my bones so I get that hip and knee. Glad you found something you can do and remain active without pain.
@trooworld I love the hair and that pin! LOL the guy is smiling really nice. I quit dying my hair oh so long ago, I went white early in life. LOL I remember I got my first gray hair 2 weeks after being married..I told my DH it was his fault. I got tired of coloring my hair every 3 weeks. My hair grows fast and it was a pain. I tried the crayon, just the roots, etc...but it got really old. You do what works for you. ( You have gorgeous skin btw). Yes my sister is a traveling soul, her and my mom would never be at home if she were still alive. LOL I don't have a travel bone in my body.

Hi, all! Not much is going on here. Lots of rain due to the hurricane even though we didn’t get a direct hit. I’ll do the bike and if it stops raining I might walk around the block. Last night I made turkey meatballs from my new cookbook and added them to some pasta I had made and frozen about a month ago. No cooking tonight! We eat out on Saturdays. Not sure where. I’m thinking Mexican as we haven’t had that for a while.1

Hi all. I did it: I got all my hair chopped off. I like it but not as much as when I've done it in the past: the problem is that I am no longer dying my hair so my hair color is meh, it's salt and pepper with some leftover dye in it so it's kind of gray on top, and the rest is kind of burgundy.Here, I'll share a pic from yesterday so you'll see what I mean. Never mind the guy that photo bombed my photo lol, I don't know what he thinks about my hair!
