Good morning everyone. It is getting cooler here in Eastern WA state and my outdoor sports are coming to an end. I'm going to an indoor batting cage today for some softball fun Also, this is pine needle pick-up month for me. I took 340 pounds of pine needles to our waste-to-energy plant yesterday. That is just the beginning. I will have lots more of what I call FUNctional fitness to do before the pine trees finish shedding.

I love this supportive group. I'm a 46 year-old, 5'4" 2-time cancer survivor mom of four who always has some new ailment each month. Lol. I will check in when I can, but life has been really challenging these past few weeks. Struggling financially means extra mental stress and lots to manage and struggling physically creates lots of appointments and PT to manage as well. I am not focusing on weight loss this month, but on maintaining what I have lost by not caving in to emotional eating by walking everyday and finding a Zen moment everyday as well.

10/01: 182.5 - coached Girls Rugby, so lots of walking and running.
10/02: 182.3 - I have a second round job interview today. Trying to stay calm.

@BittersweetVita One step closer to getting that position. Good luck to you today. I hope the outcome is everything that is meant to be for a wonderfully happy and healthy you!

Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.

10/01-187.2-(Trend Weight 189.2)- Yesterday everything was on point—diet, exercise, water, Potty. I wish everyday fell in line like that but that is not typical of my normal day. I had no handymen, no babysitting, no kids stop buy (with treats), no invitations from friends to go have lunch or dinner, it was a care-free day of self focus. Yesterday was one of the lower calorie/carb days on the zig-zagging I am doing so I’m not surprised to see the scale a bit more down because of that. It certainly likes to tip up a bit on the scheduled higher days so fair enough!

10/02-187.0-(Trend Weight 189.0)- I feel like a rabbit with the carrot dangling over me. Come on 186 point anything!

    Starting weight September 1: 141

    Goal weight for October: 132.8

    October 1: 136.2
October 2: 137.0 Wow, my weight can really spike up quickly. On Sept 30 I was 134.8. Now 2.2 lbs higher. But this is not a surprise. On Sept 30 my mom took me out to lunch; and the mac & cheese was sooooo bad. I just had to go home and make mac & cheese to go with dinner, the proper way, with all the butter and flour and cream cheese and buttery bread crumb topping. And I ate too much of that mac & cheese. And then yesterday we had a long party with friends, and there was a ton of great food & wine. So I overdid it there. So, now back to the plan. My goal is to get back at daily logging & daily meeting my calorie goal, AND to drink lots of water. Cycle day 1 should be right about now too, so the weight could stay here or go up again. Just going to get back to the plan and try to stick with it from here!

I’m a grandma in Ontario. 7 months ago my health really took a hit: diabetes, hbp, hardened arteries , arthritis, etc. Everything came on at once. I was heading for a stroke. Scared me into action.
I love this challenge, and the support and inspiration it brings.

    Goal weight: 120 lbs.
    Height: 5’2”
End of Sept. weight: 187.8 lbs.
Oct. Goal: lose at least 4 lbs.

June- 4.4 lbs. (trip to Europe)
    July- 5.6
    August-7 lbs. joined a ‘challenge’
    September- 2.6 lbs. ( sick)

    November-

Welcome back to everyone to this great challenge. I won’t be able to weigh every day this week as hubby and I are taking the Agawa canyon ride out of Sault St. Marie to see the beautiful, fall
colours. He had a knee replacement 6 weeks ago, and we’re taking advantage of his good recovery for a little get away.

Hello I'm Darlene and have been with this group for a few months now; my favorite support group on MFP. Retired, 63-year-old. Married (Greg), one adult daughter (Allyson), and one goldendoodle (Monty).

    My goals for October🍂 :
    • Lose 4 pounds (always my goal) - BUT I am only 6 pounds away from getting out of the obese category - so setting a stretch goal to get there by the end of the month. Usually if I announce something I do it so . . . .. fingers crossed. ⚖️
    • Hit my orignal 1,960 mile goal. I am on a mission to get 2,023 miles in 2023, when I first started my goal was 1,960 - a good year. When I realized that I would achieve this early changed it to 2,023. 🏃‍♂️
    • 17K Steps daily 👣
    • Drink 6-8 Glasses of Water Daily 💦
    • Strength Train 3 days a week 💪
    • Tai Chi or Some Stretching exercise 1 day a week 🧘
    • Log daily 📝
    • Stay under my calorie range 🥗
    • Read daily 📖
    • Do something creative or fun daily 🧶 🖍️ 🧩 🎮
    ⚖️ 🏃‍♂️👣💦💪🧘 📝🥗 📖 🧶 🖍️ 🧩 🎮

Weight Loss to Date: 53.8 Pounds
    September Ending Weight: 174.2

    🎃👻🍂Happy October!🎃👻🍂

    Oct 1: 😁 173.8 A good start 👣💦📝 🥗 🎮
    Oct 2: 😁 173.4 👣💦💪📝🥗 📖 🖍️ 🎮
Oct 3: 173.4 👣💦📝🥗 📖 🖍️ 🎮 The Hogwarts challenge that I am in has an assignment this week to run/jog for 20 minutes. It doesn't have to be in one session. Years ago, I did the Couch to 5K and jogged a 5k on my 50th birthday (a time when I was almost at my goal weight). I thought about doing that again, but when I tried earlier this year my knees couldn't take it. I thought I would try again when I lost 60 pounds - I'm not quite at 60, but close - I guess this was a sign that I should try again. Yesterday I did day one, and it was fun. Keeping my fingers crossed because I really did love it.

I stuffed “approved foods” in my pie hole all day but managed to stay under calorie with just 4 carbs over. My sodium was too high and I forgot to drink water basically to flush it out so I will work on that today. However, I woke up and am already extra hungry again this morning. It’s going to be a L…O…N…G day.

Today was our last day of league softball for the year. So, I felt obligated to celebrate with some beer and hot wings. I didn't log it here on MFP. We'll see the result tomorrow on the scales I'm sure. Play Ball!

My name is Donna. I am 5’ 5” tall, 63 years old and from the Michigan USA. In 2016 I weighed 253 lbs. I am on a journey of health and to get back to the real me.
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.

10/03-186.2-(Trend Weight 188.5)- 186 yay! Happy dancing over here in Northern Michigan. Yesterday was another one of those days that I just couldn’t seem to get full or be satisfied.

10/04-186.6-(Trend Weight 188.5)- Finally TMI after 3 days of no action and the scale went up? Go figure! My calories were under, my carbs were under, I got in 32 minutes on the exercise bike using HIIT with it, my water was so-so. The only thing bad was my sleep last night. Just shy of 4 hours of sleep. So many things are in play with weight loss including hormones. I’ll just roll with the punches and let the universe even things out. As Billy Joel sang, it’s a matter of trust.

    Starting weight September 1: 141

    Goal weight for October: 132.8

    October 1: 136.2
October 2: 137.0 I logged <3 Wow, my weight can really spike up quickly.
