Hi, Iโm Tiffani. 41 female 5โ1. Lost 20lbs 2 years ago and felt so good but Iโve put it all back on and Iโm finally ready to get back on track. Iโm only tracking food right now and will add in movement at some point.

Iโm a grandma in Ontario. 7 months ago my health really took a hit: diabetes, hbp, hardened arteries , arthritis, etc. Everything came on at once. I was heading for a stroke. Scared me into action.
I love this challenge, and the support and inspiration it brings.

Hi I'm Marla, 67 yrs old and retired. I have been yo-yoing with 20lbs for the last 20 yrs. Right now at 150 I want to be 130. I am smaller and the entire weight is in my stomach making me look 6 months pregnant. Over the last 20 yrs I have been asked many times. Last week a lady in my Tai chi class asked me and I laughed and told her how old I am! But inside was the shame you feel for not having the control over food you want. So here I am again, and this time I am going to work on my mindset and thoughts.

Hello I'm Darlene and have been with this group for a few months now; my favorite support group on MFP. Retired, 63-year-old. Married (Greg), one adult daughter (Allyson), and one goldendoodle (Monty).
My goals for October๐ :- Lose 4 pounds (always my goal) - BUT I am only 6 pounds away from getting out of the obese category - so setting a stretch goal to get there by the end of the month. Usually if I announce something I do it so . . . .. fingers crossed. โ๏ธ
- Hit my orignal 1,960 mile goal. I am on a mission to get 2,023 miles in 2023, when I first started my goal was 1,960 - a good year. When I realized that I would achieve this early changed it to 2,023. ๐โโ๏ธ

Oct 3: 173.4 ๐ฃ๐ฆ๐๐ฅ ๐ ๐๏ธ ๐ฎ The Hogwarts challenge that I am in has an assignment this week to run/jog for 20 minutes. It doesn't have to be in one session. Years ago, I did the Couch to 5K and jogged a 5k on my 50th birthday (a time when I was almost at my goal weight). I thought about doing that again, but when I tried earlier this year my knees couldn't take it. I thought I would try again when I lost 60 pounds - I'm not quite at 60, but close - I guess this was a sign that I should try again. Yesterday I did day one, and it was fun. Keeping my fingers crossed because I really did love it.

@andreajnhe Yes, the salt in the restaurant food gets me too. Just get back to it, and it will come back down and then some. The key is to not let the up days get you so frustrated that you quit, but as a tool to remind you to get back on track.

October 2: 137.0 I logged Wow, my weight can really spike up quickly. On Sept 30 I was 134.8. Now 2.2 lbs higher. But this is not a surprise. On Sept 30 my mom took me out to lunch; and the mac & cheese was sooooo bad. I just had to go home and make mac & cheese to go with dinner, the proper way, with all the butter and flour and cream cheese and buttery bread crumb topping. And I ate too much of that mac & cheese. And then yesterday we had a long party with friends, and there was a ton of great food & wine. So I overdid it there. So, now back to the plan. My goal is to get back at daily logging & daily meeting my calorie goal, AND to drink lots of water. Cycle day 1 should be right about now too, so the weight could stay here or go up again. Just going to get back to the plan and try to stick with it from here!

My sodium was too high and I forgot to drink water basically to flush it out so I will work on that today. However, I woke up and am already extra hungry again this morning. 10/04-186.6-(Trend Weight 188.5)- Finally TMI after 3 days of no action and the scale went up? Go figure! My calories were under, my carbs were under, I got in 32 minutes on the exercise bike using HIIT with it, my water was so-so. The only thing bad was my sleep last night. Just shy of 4 hours of sleep. So many things are in play with weight loss including hormones. Iโll just roll with the punches and let the universe even things out. As Billy Joel sang, itโs a matter of trust.
