Allie - are they able to tell you how this keeps happening to you with your credit card?
Inappropriate behaviour is quite common I think.
Vicki - Sounds like a nice weekend for you.
Carol - I am hoping to sell them at a craft show. Prayers for you, your husband and BIL.
Machka - I’m so happy for you. It sounds like all of your hard work paid off.
Kylia - I would be all for longer hours to have weekends off. I would not. Be happy with only one day a week off.
One of the things I am still angry about with not being able to continue at the manor is that they had an incredible time off and benefit package.
I was hoping to retire from there.
Lanette - what I have posted pictures of so far was all scrap wood that DH had in his stash. Yesterday though I spent 4 hours in the shop cutting on the band saw and sanding. I have the first coat of base paint on the pieces today.
Joy - the fog has been crazy! DH took almost 45 minutes for his usual 20 minute drive the other night.
Sounds like you grandson has found his niche.
Lisa - That is a big time difference. I struggle with the 3 hour difference with my family sometimes.
I can’t wait to see your clock repurposed.
Annie - I hope you did go with your Dad. He needs some help it seems.
Rebecca - I need to try you nose to toes hydration for your skin. I get so dry, in the winter especially.
Debbie - love the clock and the deals. Those embossing boards were a phenomenal price.
Kim - that is exhausting. I hope you can find a way to find some me time.
I went and helped my friend a little bit this afternoon, base painted my projects I cut yesterday this morning, and finished another stocking front tonight. One more stocking front to go hopefully I’ll get it done next week.
I am a huge Dolly Parton fan, there was an interview tonight with Robin Roberts called Rhinestones to Rock n Roll. She has a new book coming out that tells her story in her clothes and costumes. She also has her new rock album and is working on her story being done on Broadway in January 2025. She has written most of the music for it and chose the ones she didn’t write. I think that her staying so busy keeps her healthy. She is 77.

Coconut oil in solid form without anything added, works great. I just claw at it in the large jar and get a small amount each time to apply. The heat of your skin melts it. My arms and legs I rub fairly vigorously, because like I said, its my massage time. Lying on a towel works for me, as I have found just standing in the bathroom, the bits of coconut oil tend to slip off my skin onto the floor. I give myself a good 5 minutes of applying and lying on the towel to absorb into my skin. Then whatever is still on, I just stand and rub it in with towel. Its instant relief for me.💖👍. I also use it to keep my nostrils happy, and not dry in the winter. Each night I rinse my nostrils with warm water ( just use my fingers to wet and clean my nostrils), and apply just a bit of coconut oil to a finger and apply it in each. I have found my nose has less dryness, and less nose bleeds from the weather.

Did HIIT today since in ½ hour supposedly you burn twice the calories. And by the time I took a “wash off the sweat” shower, got dressed, drove to get my blood drawn...well, I wanted to be there on time. As it was, I got there about 15 minutes earlier so I just read on my tablet. Then went to Aldi, going to go for a walk in a few.
M – see, I don’t have a problem telling people here that I’m going to FL. But I’d never do it on Facebook. I see your point, tho. I figure people from Ohio, California, Washington, and all over aren’t about to make a trip to NC just to rob me (and if they did, not like they’d get much). Now you never know who even lives near you is on Facebook. So glad there weren’t any problems.
Debbie – that clock is fantastic. I’m sure Jessica’s bf would like it. But there’s no way I’d pay that amount of money!!!! Glad you found it in a thrift store. Is that ALL you paid?????
Kylia – I understand your disappointment with your daughter not being at thanksgiving. Couldn’t she get a sedative from her doctor for that day? I know Jess gets panic attacks when she’s in an airplane (I think it’s that she likes to feel in control and she’s not in an airplane. That’s probably why she insists on having a standard) and she takes a certain medication (can’t remember what it is right now) before she gets on the plane and it really helps her.
Allie – you’ll do fine. Can’t wait to see pics of the car!!!
Off to my walk! Newcomer bowling tonight

Good Wednesday,
Machka Once again your organizational skills and attention to detail went a long way. I really feel your joy and peace coming off the pages.
Carol Prayers. Alzheimer's runs in my mother's family. My grandmother and 6 of her sisters all had it. The 7th died of throat cancer around age 60. My Aunt has been in a memory care unit for 3 years. My mother still lives on her own, but probably shouldn't. She has disowned all her children again (like the 5th or 6th time) . I send texts for holidays and a Christmas card, but that is all the contact I have. The really sad part is she has 8 great grandchildren she has never met due to her personal issues.
Debbie I once found that style of clock that I loved, but DH said no at the time. We weren't yet married, and I couldn't afford it. I have looked for over 15 yrs for another, but have yet to find it, I am happy for you to have found such bargains.
Two days over 10k steps and over 7 hrs sleep! Today will be a struggle for steps due to 7 hours in truck, ugh. Have 3k so far.
I am struggling this morning. Thanksgiving is my holiday. I am struggling as my youngest daughter who lives in town told me last night that they won't be joining us this year. For whatever reason, she says she has panic attacks every time her sister or kids are involved in something. As an adult it is her right to say no. As a Mom, I am sad that she can't put aside whatever for a few hours. I am proud that she told me the why. I understand protecting self mental health. I am confused by the issues my girls have with each other. 20 years ago it was oldest jealous of youngest. Now it is reversed. I guess I am feeling hurt, confused, and disappointed. My anxiety due to her decision last night made it hard to concentrate so was in bed at 915. My mind knows that it is okay. If she didn't live down the street I would be disappointed but not upset. It will be okay. I just need to calm myself. I raised successful and independent daughter's.
Gotta get going,
Kylia heading north into cold and rain which is better than cold and snow!
Thanks- the clocks are still available- both on Amazon and Ebay. Dh has wanted one a long time and was thrilled to find this one. We usually don't go over there but I had a merchandising job to do so we stopped in. Took a chance with it and it works perfectly. We are picking up the hanger to put it up today.
As for sisters not getting along- I totally understand it but it is so sad. My older sister and younger sister are like that. More, it is my younger sister that doesn't want anything to do with older sister, over a class ring that she said my older sister stole from her, older said she "found" it. That was almost 40 yrs ago- Holidays are rough. Too much tension is not good. Add in my dh who ruins every holiday-such a grinch, plus every day revolves around his mother.
I will be going up to mom's this coming weekend and her and I will have a nice early Thanksgiving weekend-We may go to a friends for Thanksgiving then he can go to his mom's. Not sure what we are doing yet- need to check with my friend. We went last year. It was 2 days after my fall when I smashed up my face/broke teeth/etc. She cooked some and I cooked some(all soft food thankfully). It was a first time spending the holiday with them. They have been friends for over 25yrs. It was nice to spend it with them instead of me cooking everything, the guys grabbing their food and heading to their rooms or just coming out long enough to eat then back to their rooms- no help in cooking or clean up.

Kylia - I'm sorry your daughters don't get along, but pleased that your youngest trusts you enough to tell you the truth, that she doesn't choose to be in a room with her sister. If it helps at all, I truly hated being around my sister until I was in my mid-30s. She kept trying to run over me with the religion truck, and had four kids, while I was irreligious and infertile. Eventually, she stopped trying to save me and I stopped trying to feel superior, and we found we had our mother in common, whom we both loved to distraction. Your daughters do have their love for you in common, and that may well override their own needs in their own time.
Hope it is or was a good Wednesday for all,
Love from Arkansas,
Lisa
I dealt with that with my older sister-not the religious part- both are church goers.
She had her third(buy third guy) when I had a miscarriage, my only time pregnant, and couldnt understand why I wasn't so overjoyed to see her latest. She went on to have 2 more for a total of 5 by at least four dads, we think the last two are by the same dad-only married to the first one and I continued to go fertility treatments that didn't work- up to 36 shots in one week along with daily blood tests.
She was either clueless or heartless- I think clueless.
At least I finally got ds when we adopted him. He is the best thing in my life.

Allie - What a cute little car! You'll really enjoy driving that. I've only ever named one machine and that was a freezer I named Mr. Beasley. I hope the morning has gone well for you and not too much waiting around.2

I need a boot in the behind as I’ve been giving in to my sugar urges/addiction since that first fling with Tootsie Rolls the beginning of October. Not feeling well b/c of the MCC doesn’t help either. I know food won’t help. My mind knows better, but somehow, my hand doesn’t listen! I’ve gained 2 pounds Oct/Nov and am exactly where I was in January! My fight has kept me stable but not what I need/want. I need to lose at least 20 pounds (30 sky hope) for health reasons. At least I’ve not gained over the year. That is something.
So I got a big bag of popcorn at Sam’s for would you believe, 50 cents? It’s a 16 OZ bag of Smartfood. Yesterday, I took sandwich bags and measured out the entire bag in one serving sandwich bags. I can regulate better that way. I do have a portable food scale and used that to get the bags about the same size. I need to stay away from Sonic Blasts, and Dunkin Donuts and the candy aisle! So keep me in check by reminding me! LOL. I will try to post how good I did each day.
Yesterday was not good for sugar. I don’t want to admit b/c it is a little embarrassing: Sonic medium Blast, Sonic sugar free lemonade, Sam’s turnovers-2, and some popcorn while measuring out the servings. None of which is good for me, but sure tastes good!
I had an appointment with my therapist Monday. The office had moved across town! I was at the old office on time but when I found the place empty, I tried calling 3 times before I got someone. They gave me the new address, and I complained b/c no one informed me of the move. By the time I got to the new office, I was 15 minutes late. They made me re-schedule. Now I’m debating whether to cancel or go to the re-scheduled appointment at the end of the month. I may go and cancel in January. IDK, confused right now.

Michele It has been a long time (years) since I walked two dogs for two hours in the morning but I know for sure that step count for walking one or two dogs only always half or maybe two-thirds that of walking without dogs. If the dogs are frisky there may be additional calorie burn. I'm learning that step count is not the only measure of my exercise
I love cooking ,serving, and eating Thanksgiving foods. Gratitude is central to my life but the first time I ever fully enjoyed Thanksgiving was the time when I was in my late 30's and my parents went on a cruise and I was freed of their expectations and could go to a restaurant with friends
Allie congrats on your car. It always takes hours at the dealership but is so satisfying when you get home. In years past we named cars after our mothers and grandmothers. Our current sar is named Papillon.
Rita Your struggles with sugar have probably made you more understanding and sympathetic to people who struggle with alcohol or
tobacco
Annie and I walked for 40 minutes outside in the field and around the block. Jake and Bessie napped and are still asleep. Annie has finally settled into her bed behind my exercise bike so I can watch her and ride at the same time

Well I was shopping on Amazon for jewelry (since my birthday is coming and I get to choose something from my parents). I found a beautiful hammered silver bracelet. So then I looked through my old jewelry and I already have one almost like it. There are a lot of really cool pieces in my collection which I keep in a box in my closet. It's a great place to shop!
But I do need to figure out how to clean my old jewelry. My ex used to do it for me.

I was lucky with the trains. My line was the only one that was running smoothly.
My hotel room is very warm and the bed is comfortable. I made a decent mug of tea when I arrived. Nice view of the sea.
We all met up in the bar for a drink and then G picked us up and took us to her house. I did get a bit impatient with her hosting as she was unable just to sit with us and just kept busying herself. Her ADHD was rampant.
Then we got a taxi to the very pleasant restaurant .I had mussels, a squid stew and my favourite afogato.
Walked along the harbour and got a taxi back to the hotel.
So here I am, lying on my bed and talking to you.
I used my serenity bead bracelet quite a bit , rubbing the little Buddha head. But once we got to the restaurant it got better. I'm glad I made the effort. I have known them as friends for 60 years.
Not sure what we are doing tomorrow. Weather dependent. I want to leave after lunch.
Love you all, Heather UK xxxxxx8 -

So I told my dad not to put railings up all over the house. One is great, but more is not necessarily better. He said he would keep my opinion in mind. Sounds suspicious to me. I'm also trying to keep him from driving to the hardware store in the dark. He really is headstrong.

We didn't tell very many people at all and didn't announce it anywhere on FB or forums.
It was something just for us, not for general public knowledge. There are lots of things in my life like that, and I'm sure many people's lives. Things we want to keep as precious to us at the time ... but later we can talk about them.
And MyFitnessPal is a lot more public than Facebook. Anyone in the world can google what we type here.

THANK YOU ALL! I am much calmer this evening. It will be okay.
No changes in DH'S eye. No new technology. Back in 8 months. Did stop at Cabelas in Dundee,MI before heading home. That was really nice. I got two sweaters, a Christmas sweatshirt, and two pairs of winter/rain boots. DH got two new jackets. One a 2xl (I struggled with that but must run small) the other is just an xl. He also got new hunting blind. We also got 4 new Christmas lanterns. By stopping we also avoided rush hour traffic. The interesting thing is we left home at 9 am and temp was 48F. Got to Detroit at 1 pm it was 41F. When we left Cabelas, the temp had gone up to 63F at 6 pm. It is 73 right now at home at 10pm. Craziness!
I had to throw out a pair of shoes and boots today that were falling apart. The "leather" was peeling off. They were favorites but 20 y/o. Well loved.
Allie She is cute. I have never named cars......my mom did. I am impressed some days that I gave my daughters good names-lol! Even pets are hard for me to name.
Didn't hit goal of 8600 steps, but did get 6500. Kids meal with 4 chicken nuggets at McDonald's with water. The best choice I could make at the time. Perfect portion plus apples.
Sleep well!
Love,
