I haven't posted my run the last two days, but I did run. Yesterday I ran 6.25 miles, and today I ran 3.25 miles. It was about 62°F yesterday when I ran. Then the cold front came through and it was 46°F this morning.
@Eleanorhawkins I loved your race report. What a fantastic accomplishment! That is so cool about the violin. I would have loved that. It's a shame about your teammates. I'm glad you had some friends to run with. You definitely don't need those teammates in your life.

@polskagirl01 - An Asian friend of mine used to make little cakes filled with bean paste. When my daughter was small she loved those cakes and was sure they were filled with chocolate 😊5

Morning all
Got in a 10K (at 09"39).
Speaking of sweet stuff... My sister in law showed up last night. Brought me a 'designer' donut. If you like Creme brulee and you like donuts... This one is for you...9 -
Nice run @tarun_yadavA . That "donut" looks amazing.1

I'm supposed to be working today (I work from home) but it's a lovely bright day with blue skies so went for a run and ran further than I planned, now I'm having problems settling back into it. I never work weekends and I think my mind is fighting it. Its like I will do anything but work.8 -
November Goal: 80 miles

It felt good to run 10k again. I'm working on tweaking the pace so that I'm pushing, but not burning out before I'm done - the last 2k were pretty uncomfortable. But I shaved off a little more than 2 minutes from the last 10k. Ideally, I would like to be under 60 minutes, but I still have some work to do for that.9 -
Happy Saturday runners! Up to 64 out of 100 goal for the month. Just taking it day by day because the weather this time of year can be amazing or disgusting. 🤣🤣 It was HUMID cloudy and 52 this morning. Almost drizzly. I wore shorts, a tank, a long sleeve and a vest and a hat. By mile 4 the hat came off and I was way too warm with the vest and long sleeve. I was also too lazy to stop and take the shirt off. Hahaha. My Polar strap is rediculous. I think the 2 little snaps do not connect correctly so it halves my HR. I know I am not running at 82 bpm. Anyway, my watch struggles to get a HR I guess due to the arm movement so it only will pickup random #s every once in a while. I decided to push the pace on the 2nd half of the run and did sprints for 100 steps, 60 steps, 100 steps etc whenever a new song came on. Ended the 7 miler with 2 splits under 10min miles which is nice. And my HR apparently never got over 170. 🤪🙃 I have found that having siri tell me my pace every qtr mile keeps me honest vs just every mile.9

Glad I found this group/thread! Going to try to run 60km between now and end-Nov. (15km per week for the next 4 weeks). Normally track runs on Strava, so anyone regular there, is welcome to add too! Good luck, team! https://www.strava.com/athletes/zak_brockman
First 6k in the bag! Motivation to get out mainly thanks to this group. Thanks, team [6.2/60] Will head out again tomorrow morning. Cheers for the add on Strava Jennifer and Vicky!10 -

11/4: 6.4 miles - W&D 10k

Easy miles to shake out the legs. It was cloudy and wet from rain overnight but cool. After the first couple of miles the residual stiffness worked out.8 -
I took the bean brownies to a weekend conference with friends, some of whom are very into "healthy" desserts like that. The general consensus is they aren't bad, and they're going about as fast as the pumpkin spice brownies someone else brought, so maybe they aren't lying. I guess I like them. Too much food here though.
I had to skip all of the morning activities, but was able to lay in bed and see this lovely view:
Those aren't "my" mountains, but I have been up one peak in this region - as far as I can tell it's out of sight to the right from here. I was hoping to get in this water, but am feeling a bit too yucky right now (there's a point where it's helpful, and a point where it's too much stress on my body, and I think I'm over the line).8 -
Beautiful view @polskagirl01. Hope you find a way to get into that water!
Had a surprisingly fast 11 mile run this morning. Garmin said it was my fastest 11 miles ever (by 1 second/mi) Weather was just above my perfect zone, so it felt pretty good.

@Zaxa2021 Great job on shaving 2 min off of your last 10K. That's awesome.
Very nice run @SummerSkier ! Nice fast pace at the end!
Great run @Zakkery86 ! I often find the hardest step is the one out the door.
Nice running, as always, @AlphaHowls !
@martaindale Nice recovery run and glad your legs loosened after a bit.
@polskagirl01 I'm glad the conference attendees like the brownies. Sorry you aren't feeling up to attending the conference, but, if you have to be in bed, that's the view to have! Amazing!
Congrats on your 11 mile PR @Scott6255 !3 -

Today was a struggle. When I first started the run, my legs just felt really weak, so I didn't push it. But, I did want to do a long run and was proud of myself for not stopping after 30 min, like I was tempted to do. I did a very slow 5.6 miles. I had to quit there because I needed to be done by 11:30 so I could be at mom's at noon. Glad I did what I did and, even though my legs were getting tired, I think I could have walked/ran another 3 miles, which would get me across the finish line on Dec 9. I still am procrastinating about making my hotel reservations and not sure why. I'll have to soon since it's just a month away......less than a month before I need to be there.

My bet that even tho it is supposed to be rainy and miserable all day tomorrow that it will be just fine and I will run before work again.

@yirara I hope you feel better tomorrow. Great job on getting out and doing what you could. I often feel better if I am outside.
You are racking up the miles quickly @SummerSkier ! I hope the weather holds so you can get that run in before work.3
