I would have liked to maintain for this month, and instead I keep losingβ¦ I seem to be incapable to βstop the trendβ, and thatβs because I havenβt really changed a lot in my way of eating, I simply a) cut part of the sweet things, that is the excess (I have all the same two-three things a day, so I have no crave/need/desire of adding more), and b) I adopted the βplate dietβ, and this different way of introducing foods satiates me a lot (I eat the same things as before, but for lunch and dinner I mix them in the same meal, instead of having a meal carbs based and the other one protein based). So I eat what I like, as before; and I eat a lot (five days at about 1700 calories/day, and two at 2000/2200 β that are pizza days and burger days). I really cannot add further food, I wouldnβt be able to eat it!!
Ditto for the movement: I only walk. A lot, yes, about 20k steps/day, but again, I did it also before, and I really enjoy it, it relaxes me and I donβt want to renounce!
So, for now Iβll keep doing what I do, itβs my lifestyle, not a diet; anyway, my ultimate goal is 52-54 kg, so for now no problem if I keep losingβ¦ my only fear is that too fast is no good, I know, the risk is to re-gain, slow would be better* (and the other fear is that I donβt know how to maintainβ¦ but hopefully the plateau is around the corner, no?)
[* ten years ago I lost more than 7 kgs in a whole year and I never regained them (from 71 kg to 63.6).
* On the contrary, three years ago I've lost other 7 kgs but in only 5 months (from 63.6 to 56.6), and I've re-gained them in the next 5 months, and there they had been, for years, until the last March.]
November 15: 56.4 β and this week I was finally able to maintain instead of losing again, fiuhhhhβ¦ π
I also added a new forever goal (my glucose is slightly high, still in the healthy range but I need to be careful 'cause I'm under medication for heart and that brings it up, so I'll try eating more whole-wheat things and more legumes)

Forever goals:
* above all, "plate diet" (as weβve always had, in fact; only one memo: remember adding a lot of vegetables also when dinner consists of pastasciutta or pizza)
* drink drink drink (water, obv. π )
* be consistent with movement (walking, about 20k steps/day)
* be consistent with the sweet things (only two/three things a day: one caffeeβs croissant - or muffin or slice of cake at home, if I bake them - for breakfast; and one or two biscuits in the afternoons /or/ evenings)
* eat more whole-wheat things and more legumes7 -

Hey everyone!
I have been really good at not eating before noon, and have cut right down on snacks. I think I need to be careful with my portion sizes of pasta. I have not met my goal of exercising twice per week, other than walking.
I am far too impatient, I need to remember that slow and steady wins the race! Almost 3lbs down in 11 days isn't bad at all. If I am consistent I can meet my goal :-)

Back to where I started. The first couple of weeks involved very little exercise due to a foot issue and then a great deal of entertaining and eating out (drinking more wine than normal as well) as we had guests. I'm just happy to be able to get back to my regular exercise routine and focus on what I'm eating/drinking.6 -
