Now I am an addict to logging my food but I find that when I go back and look at reports that I've been way under on calories, now realize I am under on fiber....it helps to look back makes me realize that I have so much room for improvement.0

Question... how much fiber do you ladies get in a day on average?? :huh:
MFP gives us a goal of 17 a day & I almost always go over by about 10 or so! I think that the fiber helps to keep me feeling full. So, why do you ask?0 -

Everyone seemed to get their exercise in this weekend so that is good. I just got back from step class and I burned 607 calories for today. YEa me. My introplay team that is going on right now just moved in to second place. I just moved into 11th place out of 30 something people I think. I started my exercise a week late so I am getting there. I really cant wait for MFP team to start on introplay. Looking forward to kicking ya'lls butt LOL. Im sure I wont be first but I at least want to be in the top 5. Tonight is a busy night for me. I have cub scouts at 6 and then oldest has baseball practice at 7:15. I may get there in time or better yet its a rainy day and maybe they will cancel it. I hope so.

I was asking because...... I've planned out everything for the day and it says I'll be getting 42 grams. I checked back through my history and I've gotten close to this before. I don't know if that's good or bad.0

Awesome! I'm excited about introplay too! I was going to assign the teams, but I think it'd be a little more fair if I just let it do it's random thing. The more competition the better! :bigsmile:0 -

I agree Rach. Just cause we know each other. I had to divide the others up cause they came into the games with points.
Connie-do you think people are truthful when putting up exercise for all those points? My husband thinks no chance for what we do and are honest, unless they work at a gym, I question it. Or they don't have a HRM to know what light, vigorous and hard truly are. What do you think?:huh:0 -

I dont know... I started a week later so I just thought I was behind. I am truthful with mine though. My HRM can go in on the daily files but it doesnt do my light, moderate and hard daily so I have to keep a running list so I can figure out what it is for each workout. It restarts a week later. But I was wondering how people would know if they didnt have a HRM. Im glad I have mine0 -
I would imagine that there are huge variances in how it's logged due to some with HRM and some without - but we all win in the long run - if we are truly working hard we ourselves get the biggest reward.
I did the BL Sculpt level 1 today - first time doing it - my butt is burning! I only did level one since I have this stupid cold and I haven't worked out in over a week - I think next time I'll do 1 and two - I really liked it.0 -

Unfortunately since I dont have a gallbladder anymore I never have the constipation problem but I do still try to get my fiber in.

Yea, even if people are fudging their numbers, it's only going to hurt them in the end. Plus can you imagine putting stuff in you didn't do and STILL getting beat by those of us, working our butts off! :laugh:0

sanifrey what do you eat for your fiber?
cereal or oatmeal for breakfast
1/2 cup grapenuts = 7
1/2 cup oatmeal = 4
I eat a salad for lunch everyday
1 cup of greens = 3
1/4 cup chic peas = 3
tomato, cucumber & dressing as well
snack
24 almonds = 4
1/4 cup walnuts = 7 (not my fav but wow on the fiber factor)
dinner
always a veggie or salad included
1 cup carrots = 3
baked porato = 5
if dinner is a pasta or rice I eat the whole grain/brown stuff
2 oz Ronzini smart taste = 6
1 cup brown rice = (dang it - I forgot to look it up)
Just a few ideas, it can add up pretty quickly if you make a few wise choices!0 -

Me too! But the healthier I eat and with the calorie deficit I do find that I don't go everyday (or several times a day) like I did in my old eating habits.
Just saw a statement in an article that makes sense..."since eating a high fiber diet makes you feel fuller longer, you have a better chance of successfully reducing your calorie intake thus losing weight."0 -

That's great!! I forgot that it didn't come standard with MFP, I had added mine a while back & I've been using it since! It can add up pretty quickly! One of the only columns that it's okay to see a red negative & go over in!! :drinker:0 -

Thanks. :flowerforyou: I *did* drink a lot of water yesterday and felt fine. Most of my fiber is coming from Fiber One brand stuff.

I got in a car accident yesterday and my poor baby is all smashed up. I can't go to work today because I don't have a car or anyone to take me and I have to deal with insurance people and try to get a rental through the other ladies insurance.

Hi Blue team - Happy St Patty's Day!
I've been MIA this week - buried with tax season. So I did a week's worth of reading on this thread. I joined in with the introplay and need to explore that some more to see how it works. I think that will be a good motivater for us all! At least I've been getting in 60 minutes of exercise everyday and watching my calorie intake. I just make that much needed "Jenn time"
I do have a lunch with a tax client today and I'm really scared about the restaurant. I've been doing so good and haven't been out in soooo long - I hope to make a smart choice!

I had a scone instead, or 'english muffin'. I was talking to my friend in the UK and I had a hell of a time trying to tell him what an english muffin was and had to resort to google images to show him! :laugh: He thought it was hilarious that he's english and didn't know what it was, so I told him that from now on I will always refer to them as scones. :laugh:0 -

That car is my baby. I cried yesterday like someone ran over my dog or something! Ugh this is no good. And neither insurance company can get ahold of the other people so that they can get the info they need to authorize me a rental. :ohwell:0
