Annie- so sorry about your mom- glad you got her to the hospital where she can get some help/care/comfort2

Here's a video of the lake with my son (blue kayak) and me (orange kayak) kayaking. My husband is demonstrating the drone, so you can mute if you don't want to hear him describe the features. But it is a beautiful shot of the lake. Skip to 5:18 for the lake shots. I tried to clip it from there, but I must have done something wrong.

We are launching off from my mom's friend's dock, just across the street from her house. It makes me miss the lake. It's going to be very sad not to have it available.

Annie- gosh im so sad to hear about your mom,so glad your sister is flying up to help.. and just take things an hour at a time if need be.
Flea- im sorry your down in the dumps i hope your family comes to there senses and thinks of you for once.
Barbie- love the penguin 🐧
Now - messenger is messing up sheesh.
Thanks, Allie. I'm just being a butt. They are fine. I just need a Christmas vacation!

Lisa- our newest cat likes to sit on my lap when I am at the computer and then grabs my hands when I try and type- tiny scratches on my hands or, likes to walk on the keyboard.
You do have a special hubby!!!. Mine has washed dishes two, maybe three times over the past year. I cant even get him to rinse his dishes.
Only "cooking" he does is to warm up leftovers or make a sandwich for himself. Never, every for anyone else and that is rare for him to even do that.
Hugs Rosemarie- do what you have to but don't stress if it doesn't all get done. Starting somewhere is a big step
Annie- for me, the cold weather makes me want to wash dishes more- my hands ache from the cold so soaking my hands in hot water is appreciated. Plus, it seems that I spend more time procrastinating about washing the dishes than it actually takes to DO them.
Rita-dealing with the " poor me " from my dh too. So annoying and exhausting- Hope it doesn't last and it doesn't get to you too much.

Debbie -- your 3d things are really amazing. I agree that your prices are too low. The filament and time is a huge investment. I'm glad you all were able to make some money at it.
Take care of yourself.

thanks-
Almost all of the things we printed for the show are articulated. Some great fidget "toys" that look cool
I was just fidgeting with them during the show and people would come over to see them. The most expensive thing we had was $35(sold it for $20 right before we closed up) for a 3ft long cobra. It took I think 4 days to print.
only had four of these but should have had more. We had some on yellow/gold and green/gold. One moved a tiny bit in the bag and for a split second it startled me. Very life like looking. Some of the little dragons, the little kids would be afraid of at first, asking if they were real. One, I had her dad put his hand out and let her touch it with him holding it. Another one touched it a few times, but as soon as she did, she would blow on that hand, like blowing the germs away. Will be making more of a lot of the things.4 -
Annie - I hope you can celebrate your birthday in some way, though I know it's hard right now. Thinking about you. There with you in spirit.
Flea - I find it hard to believe you are ever horrible.
Rori - Loved that picture.
Debbie - I know just how lucky I am, believe me. I spent 28 years with a man who not only didn't cook, and did not wash dishes, but who probably would not have noticed if I didn't come home. I spent a lot of years and a lot of tears trying to change him, with no success.
I had to change myself into someone who felt she was worth being loved. Luckily, I met Corey after I figured that out.
That said, Corey's attempt at a pizza crust wasn't his best... but it was edible after I sliced the bottom two inches of crust away. Yeast is a fickle mistress I like it that he tries different things.
Later,
Love y'all,

Flea – your mother’s house is absolutely gorgeous. No, Denise never even acknowledged the invitation, not that she can’t come or anything. Maybe not responding means she didn’t have to make up an excuse?
Annie – HUGS
Joy – good for you getting that person to help you! The squeaky wheel gets the oil, that’s for sure

I read through yesterday but didn’t take notes. I was so tired and in so much pain last night.
I wore my runners with arch support, I’m not sure if it was helping to put things back in place and that’s why it was so painful or what. I ended up going to bed at 8pm.
Annie - I am so glad you were able to get your Mom to the ER. It’s never easy is it?
Evelyn - the trees and snowmen are wood, they were in a pack of 8 at Dollar Tree in the Christmas craft section.
Flea - sorry your family let you down. It angers me when mine do that too.
I have been sharing some crafts lately. I’m just about done. Yesterday was a terrible show. I don’t know if I’ll bother making more for next weeks or not since I still have stock.
Here’s a funny story about cranberry sauce
Probably about 15 years ago now my cousin and I were talking the day before Thanksgiving or Christmas. We were doing some of our prep and one of us mentioned that we had forgotten the cranberry sauce and would have to run out to the store again.
We started saying to each other that if we were our mothers, or mutual Aunt’s, elder cousins and Grandmother we would just whip up a batch. We took this over the top and by the time we were done we would have even planted and grown our own cranberries. We still carry this conversation on every year. We still both use Ocean Spray though. 😂
We each have our talents, cooking of any kind is not mine.
I think if you’re being treated that way by your family you have every right to be in a bad mood. I know I would be.
Just read your further comments, sometimes a break is all we need.
Lisa - I love the looks of your fireplace.
I can almost feel the warmth from it.
We are having Christmas on the 23rd with the family. DH works Christmas Eve and Christmas night. I like the idea of homemade pizza on Christmas. I may steal your idea.
Barbie - I love your penguin.
Pip - Beautiful decorations!
I have watched my guilty pleasure and think I should head to bed. I am trying to plan my week in my head and feel stuck on what to do when.
Maybe my foot will tell me tomorrow if a clearer direction, it wasn’t as bad today thankfully.

Next time you talk to her, tell her it is OK to just say No.
There's no need to provide any sort of excuse if you don't want to do something.
Just simply No. Or "No thanks."

Gratitudes:
Sunday: Milk of magnesia. Ginger ale.
Saturday: That Shadow doesn’t know she can jump the fence
Four days of little activity and the shins felt better enough to do a little Jeopardy walking tonight. May risk line dancing tomorrow. Reminding myself that while step count is a tool and a goal, healing is the priority.
Lanette, my broccoli crunch salad has chopped bacon too …
Annie ((hugs)) and more ((hugs))
Kylia ((hugs)) and more ((hugs)). Hope the tears bring you some relief.
Lisa the pic of Egg hard at her life’s work. . . and Corey’s “…doesn’t care to compete.” Yours about laundry and cleaning, truth this. Wonder why I don’t mind laundry but so resent cleaning… “. . .I had to change myself into someone who felt she was worth being loved.” This is so insightful and so hard to do. Bravissima!
Rosemarie yours to Annie, well said, voice of experience. As for the apple slices for fondue, try to get an apple that doesn’t brown quickly, like a Fuji. Ah, I see Okie’s pre-sliced suggestion, even better!
Rebecca likewise yours to Annie, sound counsel.
Heather seems like the blessing you and Johnny are in Edie’s life, she returns ten fold!
Allie which Christmas tea was sold out? I like Nutcracker Sweet but it’s always gone from the store so had to order direct from Bigelow. ((hugs))
Tracey thank Rodger from me for the video. Love, the annual “cranberry conversationi.”
Evelyn gorgeous pillow!
Machka “… all families are weird.” Truth this, and somewhat comforting ;}
Ginny “…according to Accuweather it is a high (arthritis?) level day” Could you elaborate? Is there an indicator for weather triggered arthritis flares? Seems like my knees know when rain is coming . . . Hope the specialist has something helpful for your foot.
Kay “… probably the weird one…” oh yeah
Kelly saw your Christmas Tree tipi on FB. You are so creative! Those kids and their families are blessed by you.
Rita ((hugs)) so hard to resist catching the blues from DH. ((hugs))
Flea amazing you were able to see Rainier! The few times I’ve caught a glimpse, I was stunned. ((hugs)) I’m with Lisa, can’t believe even the worst mood would make you horrible.
Pip WOW!

Michele-thanks for clarification regarding Denise and Jess. Sorry their relationship is so strained.
Lanette-No, I 'm still working full-time. My real plan is 2024. For the most part I still enjoy the work and am effective. A project I really wanted to see completed got delayed and will not be complete until Spring. My employer makes a generous match to state retirement fund. If I'm going to work for same employer, might as well stay full time and use more time off.
Flea-lovely property-don't think there will be a sales problem. Sorry your retirement plans got put on hold.
Lisa-Egg in front of fireplace is just a perfect picture. I felt warmer looking at it!
Barbie-the penguin is perfect!
Debbie-glad sale went fairly well for you and DH.
Pip-love the decorations.
Barbara AHMOD-https://www.accuweather.com. Put in your zip code/city. It will give you all sorts of information-mold levels, pollen, arthritis levels, etc. I usually check on my phone. Like looking ahead sometimes to plan activities accordingly.
Evidently there was a bit of snow last night while I was sleeping-my phone told me it was stopping soon! Luckily I use the do not disturb function for such things at night. Going to be cold and windy today-high of 33. Looks like a blast of winter!
Off to get started on my week.
Take care all,
Ginny in Ohio
