My first meal of the New Year was "Hoppin John". Black Eyed Peas and Greens are a Southern American good luck tradition from the Civil War. Even though too much Hoppin John didn't fit into my low-carb diet plan and watching too much football is not exactly good exercise, my scale said I didn't gain this morning. I will try to move the needle on my scale in the desired direction by using a little more restraint at my table and playing pickleball instead of watching sports. No relying on Hoppin John Good Luck today. Ha!

Hi All! I'm Amy Marie. I am 46 and 5'4" current weight 178. I need the accountability of the scale. I lost 20 lbs in 2023, stopped weighing and tracking and gained it all back.
My goals for this month is daily weigh ins and tracking. Daily walks. Not necessarily weight loss related, but to regain a work life balance. I have been deep into some work projects and have let it creep into my home hours.

Good morning!
Very pleasantly surprised at the results of what I would consider a pretty perfect health conscious day. Couple of juices, a small lunch, plenty water and a decent amount of walking and exercise as well as a tight 5hr eating window. Much the same again today except there’s a couple of hours of tennis to be added to the mix this evening as we prep the coming season.

Hi All! I'm a 46-year-old married mom of five. I started this group in September at 141 pounds (overweight for me at my height) and have lost about 11-12 pounds overall since then. I always gain some weight around Christmas; I love the cookies, truffles, and eggnog etc. I allowed myself to just enjoy those things and slack off some; however, it's time to get back to the routine! My goal for January is to log and weigh every day, and to lose 3 1/2 pounds. I'm setting my goal a tad on the aggressive side because I suspect that some of my gain from the end of December is not only fat but water and such.

Hi I'm Candice ☺️ I had a baby 6 weeks ago and returned to exercise too quickly so I am on recovery pt/rest. My year long goals are to breastfeed all year long, return to pre pregnancy weight or a little lighter, get pregnant again, and return to running at some point 😊
I am 30, 5'8", and 158 lbs. pre pregnancy I was 150 lbs and got to a bit over 180 before having my baby.
My January goals are
- dry January (no alcohol all month)
- log my calories at least 4 days a week
- weigh in every day
- go on a walk 3-4 x a week
- pump at least every other day
I'm not setting a weight loss goal because I don't know my calorie burn right now with breastfeeding...but I want the scale to move down this January lol.4 -

G'day all. I'm Adam from Tasmania, Australia. I started this journey in August 2021, weighing 142kg (313 pounds).
Since then, I've lost 22kg (48.5 pounds), but am slowly putting it back on.
I'm mentally exhausted at the end of the year. No time or energy to do anything, but gonna try to make myself more accountable on here, as it has helped in the past.

Jan 2: 163.8 👣 📝 🥗 💦 Met my New Year's goal - did a 10K walk yesterday AM. Was ravenous all day, but managed to stay under my calorie limit by 5 calories. I would say a successful day. I'm still .2 pounds away from my lowwest weight (just before Christmas).
Jan 3: 162.8 😁 👣 📝 🥗 💦 Funny thing happened to yesterday. Greg, Monty and I started the Airline Trail today (I am feeling nostalgic so want to do it again, and we started off with a big one day 6.2 miles. When we got back to the car, Greg noticed he didn't have his wallet. Thought he left it on the counter at home. Got home, no wallet, now we think he must have dropped it on the trail as we were walking, so we drove back to the trail at the half way point. Greg went one way - I went the other looking for the wallet, another 3.7 miles and didn't find it. When we got home - Greg remembered he took the truck out yesterday - left it in the center console. LOL! So, my 6.2 walked turned into 9.9, silver linings I guess! Here are some pictures from the walk (the first time).

Yesterday was not too bad. I got my walk in. I answered a couple work emails (not a great work life balance) but they were the ones that were going to play a role in how my first day back at work went today.
I ate a lot of vegetables and some left over pizza that I did not track. Anyways, have a great day.

1/3 Yay! Holiday bloat is going, better habits starting. It's as important for me to learn to eat correctly as to lose this weight. I always eat "healthfully" right through dinner and then pound the snacks after dinner, usually more calories in junk than in my daily meals. So my goal this time is to change this self-defeating- and self-deluding- habit.
