Hello, Jill and company. I am ready to come back. Dad did indeed pass away on November 28th. Christmas preparations and the holidays were followed by a two week vacation. We just got back on Friday night. My husband also wants to lose weight after the damage done by Christmas, the cruise and the conference, so it might be easier this time.
For those that I haven't met, my name is Lisa. I am 57 years old, 5'5" tall and I live in Tillsonburg, Ontario. I am married with two grown sons. One son lives in town here with his girlfriend, and the other is single and lives in Zurich, Switzerland. We have a family farm supply business that I work very, very part time at, filing invoices and stuffing and mailing monthly customer statements. I damaged my knee at the end of May and by the end of June I had given up. However, losing weight would be the single greatest thing I could do to help my knees, my feet, and any other body part that is screaming at me at any given moment!!
February goals: I am going to keep it simple for this first month.... log daily and maintain a deficit if at all possible.

Hello, all you daily weighers. I'm Stormy back for another edition of the Daily Weigh-In Challenge, Feb version. I know I'm a bit obsessive and I know it may go against conventional wisdom but I weigh myself at least once a day. I usually weigh in twice each day, first thing in the morning and last thing before I go to bed.
I have been reporting my morning weight in this post since Sep 2023. I weigh myself at night to see how much weight I lose while I sleep. I typically lose 2 pounds each night. I try to eat low-carb. I've just recently left the obese category and entered the overweight group. I play pickleball, softball, and bowl for what I call FUNctional fitness. And I this Daily Weigh-In Group. I hope all of you do too.

I'm Jude, 66 YO, 5' 2". I've yoyo-ed my whole life and am looking to change my relationship to food to one that's healthy and sustainable.
February goals:- pay attention to my nutrition to make sure I'm eating the correct calories and nutrients
- continue to weigh/track/log/ workout as I did in January- it's working well for me
- adjust my food (and expectations) to lose about 2-3 lbs a month

Here goes... have been having a hard time getting off the starting block. I am pre-diabetic, but Dr thinks I can get out of that with -15# Not a lot, but if I keep just going up as I have I will be in trouble. Just started PT to help with some gait imbalance from an injury sustained 2 years ago. Weather is warming, and I want to be able to walk 2-3 miles with my dog. It has been a VERY sedentary winter for me. I quit WW (which was a great resource) when they dropped the studios in favor of pushing Ozempic. I just can't go there, though my daughter has had great success on it. So I will give this my best shot and maybe get on a path toward my ultimate goal. I will be doing 16/8 IF which has worked in the past. Thanks for being here and bon chance to us all! See you tomorrow!

Bring it on Feb! Back in Sep 2023 I weighed 190+ and I told my Doc I could lose 20 pounds. He scheduled an appointment for me for Mar 2024 to hold me accountable. So, Feb it is going to be important to me to chip away at the 20-pound promise I made to my Doc.
I figure since we have an extra day in Feb this year I can get within striking distance of that 20-pounds. My goal for Feb is to weigh 172 or less by Feb 29th. Ha! And that factors in the Superbowl 🏈 and Valentine's Day .

02/01-183.4-(Trend Weight 183.0)- WTH? I did NOT expect this. Could it be the travel & restaurant from two days ago? Could it be the birthday celebration complete with cake/ice cream catching up? Could it be day 2 of no TMI? Could it be the worst sleep last night that I’ve had in years? Maybe it’s all one big ball of wax (or fat) all rolled up into one. In any case, I feel cheated when I probably shouldn’t. I guess I’ll just start off this challenge chasing my own tail and hope it doesn’t take too long to catch it! I have partial news on my friend Diana—her pet scan and bone density scans came back that her tumor is isolated in her lung. Next stop will be a needle biopsy through the back and then an oncologist to find out exact staging, type of lung cancer, treatment options if any and prognosis. They have already said it was cancer so the biopsy is to further identify. I was so happy to hear it hasn’t metastasized but there is still a lot up in the air. Please continue to keep her in your prayers.

So I slacked off last the last two or so weeks of January.... I stopped logging and checking in, and ate a lot more freely; however I did not gain. This is good.
This is the month that I'm hoping to reach my goal weight, whatever that is, LOL. I'm starting the month at 126.8 pounds; my goal will probably be somewhere around 123-125. I'm hoping to know when I get there. Just to have a concrete goal to shoot for, let's say it's 124.
