I've got those same markers... different brand. They're cheaper and cheaper on Amazon these days.3

I don't have that brand of marker either, but I've got 4 or 5 other brands ... I get them all sorts of different places including Amazon. I'm always on the hunt for blues, greens, and pale greys as I go through those ones fairly quickly (several months instead of a couple years)
Copic markers are still expensive, but I can usually pick up the rest relatively inexpensively.2 -

Don't feel sorry for her! I didn't get up until 7, so she yelled at me first, and then elbowed me aside when I opened her door of choice, the carport door, to let her outside. Then after running around just a few minutes out there, she came back in her kitty door (that was open all the time) and oozed onto my lap, one little pointy claw at a time kneading my tummy. Rude. 🤨😀🙃😼🐈⬛
Ah, I just coughed, and that was obviously beyond the pale, so I have a free lap once more. Prior to departure:
Always tough working around someone who has five extremely pointy ends of weaponry onboard at all times. 😀 Just have to have an exit strategy.
Love y'all,
Lisa
Rhody is not a lapcat.
But he gets miffed if he isn't allowed out into his catio or we're not prepared to take him for a walk or whatever. He also gets miffed if we're not paying attention to him when he wants to play.
He'll attract our attention by grabbing one of our legs and attempting to sink his teeth into it!! All those pointy bits can be dangerous!
I've gotten quick enough to pull him off before there is any serious damage ... or sometimes I'll put a little "Deep Heat" - the super minty arthritis/muscle cream - on my ankles or feet if I'm walking around with bare legs and feet.
But I've also found I can redirect his little temper tantrum. He's got a "welcome mat", one of those plain brown mats that sits outside a door. It was a $5 purchase but one of the best things we've got for him. He loves it because he can sit on it like a king and claw it. He also has tennis balls which he loves. So I plop him down on his welcome mat and give him a tennis ball, and he'll lie down and "bunny kick" the tennis ball, and rip at it with his teeth until he feels better about things.

On art ... I took an art class as part of Bachelor of Education back in 2008. I had the most fun with that class and still have my sketch book. I think now and then that one day I might give some more drawing, painting etc. a go again.
I have actually made an enquiry about an oil painting class!! We'll see.
From back then ...
Urban Geometrics - The City in Winter
Cabin in the Woods ... I used to draw parts of this one in the margins of my notebooks, on scrap pieces of paper, and everywhere when I was a teenager and I still do it in long meetings etc.
Fingerpainting Landscape ... all done by fingerpainting!
Bit of fun!

Love those, Machka! Especially the last two. Bit of fun indeed...3

Today’s gratitude: Brief period of brilliant sunshine before the downpour/hail.
Lanette, thanks for asking. Shoulder still makes it painful to pull on/off pants, compression socks, racerback bra. MRI ordered but not yet scheduled. Bob and Brad stretches and massage give some relief. Poor Shadow won’t get to go to dog group tomorrow, she doesn’t pull much but even a little would be no good.
@linder4866 good to see you posting!
Sue I am so sorry to hear of your tenant berserker. Please tell me she isn’t a traveling nurse.
At the MD’s Tuesday I heard myself say “When I feel better, I’ll . . “ realize I can’t wait to feel better, instead I must do something to help me feel better. Dr was delighted I have a wii, so dusted it off and played some balance games yesterday, and a few more today. Like Lisa, Kylia, Beth and others I’m trying to do “just one more” than yesterday.
Inspired by Lanette I looked at weight vests, found one I liked, BUT before I pulled the trigger, I thought to myself “Whoa Barbara! You already carry 25 extra pounds between armpits and hips, do you really think a 4 lb vest is going to make a difference?”
Post office box was full of tax documents. Will work on taxes again tomorrow, hope we have everything we need.2/2: Move- wii:6 PT:0 d:0 x&a:0 dogs:0 line dancing:56 Steps:5364Later, lighter, lovelies!

Debbie: I have been wondering for a while about the cats! Could the cats be causing some of your asthma problems or at least contributing to them?
Tracey: You make beautiful creations and show such great talent. Have you ever thought of selling some of your items on Etsy? When I was selling vintage jewelry I got some good buys there. The biggest drawback is the expense of mailing.
Rant: The care facility where BIL was getting over being in the hospital called and had my husband take him back to his memory care place. So DH picked him up and got him there. Then, as he was getting up the sidewalk to enter (using his walker) he fell back on the sidewalk. The memory care facility had to bring him inside in a wheel chair and reported that he couldn't stand up. They had an ambulance take him back to the hospital and now we are waiting to see if the hospital keeps him or sends him back to memory care. I know it is not right to feel this way, but, his care has taken over the last 5 yrs of our life and it never seems to end.

no, most of my asthma symptoms are cold induced(the other factor is stress)- I get a cold and it goes right to my lungs/asthma plus being in the cold weather.
I say I am allergic to the cold- Reynauds' syndrome -eat anything cold, even cool, and instant extreme pain in my chest(eat ice cream with a cup of hot tea), even cold yogurt does it.
I touch anything cold and fingers burn, itch, turn beet red.
I hope you get some relief from care for BIL. We are only at a year and a half with MIL taking over our life and it is too much some times.

A bit behind- will try and catch up tomorrow.
Did get to walk the wetlands, part of it anyways, in between storms.
6 days so far this week of exercise of the 5 Fitbit wants me to have.May get 7th day if I walk MIL's dog tomorrow.
Heading to bed to do another nebulizer treatment then get some sleep.
Tomorrow I need to finish pricing/bagging/packing all the 3D printed stuff for the sale on Sunday-

I couldn’t sleep last night, I was awake at 230 and then again at 530 and didn’t get back to sleep again. We had mock interviews today, even that had me nervous.
In saying that, I read very early this morning but didn’t take notes.
Heather - I had a lot of reading homework this week so I haven’t gotten further in your book. I think that’s my Sunday afternoon plan.
Rebecca - I’m so incredibly excited for you!
Lisa - Levi sure is sweet.
Allie - that’s cutting it close with your trip.
Sue - what a nightmare! Is her lease up soon?
Machka - that is a beautiful colouring. I used alcohol inks on the plantar card I made the other day. I love you you can get such different variations of the same colour with such subtle differences.
I love your cabin in the woods.
We had cats as kids, but I don’t remember their personalities. I have to laugh at all of the personalities of pets on here.
Finished another session today, that is 13 so far, plus First Aid/CPR, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention- Suicide and Self Harm Intervention- Orton Gillingham and a few other little classes within the sessions.
I figured out my average and it is 95.6%.
I made two 9X13 lasagnas today for Lauryn’s party. I also wrapped her gift. Rodger had to lift it onto the counter for me. I need to get some strength back.
I coloured my hair tonight, and was scared to take the towel off my head. I went to a discount store here instead of Walmart just because it’s closer and a smaller store so my foot wouldn’t get aggravated as much. Anyway, I bought a different brand than I normally do and when I was rinsing the water was black! It turned out a bit darker than normal but not by much. I certainly don’t like the conditioner in it though. It was Clairol, so I thought I would be safe.

I think John is going to get those pens for Valentines Day. I've been eyeing them for a few days. We often end up buying the things we like for the other person!
I have my favourite dark chocolate, cocoa dusted, truffles coming today, (he loves them, but I end up eating one a night, he eats two). The v posh thin ginger biscuits (cookies) I've ordered are only eaten by him.
I've painted his card already, so we are all set.
Machka - Your abstract looks very like the art that John does. Might be fun to try and draw out a complex 'colouring in' type picture. I'm sure you can do it!
Lots of rugby on the TV today for John. 'Six Nations' tournament. Ireland won last night over France. England is playing Italy this afternoon. I keep clear.
Love you all, Heather UK xxxxxxxx2 -
Heather - Up because I was sleepless, and have got nearly halfway through NOW I AM. Impressed. Thank you for writing it - explains some things for me from my upbringing, and much more about who you are. Very well written. Will definitely leave a review when I'm finished.
Love,

Heather: Love the author pic.
Allie: Congrats to Tracy.
Sue: I can relate to tenant problems. In the end we got rid of our rental as it was such a hassle.
Markers: I have so many from all sorts of places. I love the sheen of metallic gel for highlights.
I’m taking it easy today. I will go to the local shops then just put my feet up for a while. I’m enjoying the settled spell of weather. It feels like spring, but I won’t hold my breathe just yet. March has a habit of roaring in with a vengeance 😝
🤗🤗🤗 and 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 for those who need them.

Saturday --
Finally got going on my spring weeding, pruning planting etc. ... in the last month of summer! The last 8 months have been crazy! I spent about 3 hours out there.
And I've started doing another colouring using my ultra-fine Sharpies. It's a detailed Mandala.

Lisa this is something probably too basic for your gi issues, but yesterday a friend was telling me about castor oil packs. She uses them on her stomach and thinks it helps that area. I had always thought of castor oil internally and not for an external use that is absorbed in the system. Lots of info show ups when you google it.
Sue-your tenant does seem to be off the track. I hope she doesn't damage property before you can get her evicted. I imagine that is a lengthy process but sounds like it is needed.
Barbara AHMOD-hope they get you into the MRI soon. Should pain can come from many things.
Tracey-I doubt I would have the courage to color my own hair. There are some simple exercises to help back strength. You need to start slowly but it is all a part of maintaining a strong core.
Thought this week would never end! I am going to have to put in several hours this weekend since covering duties of others cut in to my stuff! But-I am final proofing pay raises for system entry Monday (need to put them in spreadsheet). In some ways that is easier to do from home-fewer interruptions on Saturday).
Physical Therapy continues. He told me to try increase walking to 2.5 miles to see how foot tolerates it. I had mentioned to him that I was used to taking 5 mile walks at times and hated being limited so much due to stupid foot. He enjoys walking and hiking and doesn't think it is an unreasonable goal. However, I will take the improvement I can get! It is like anything else, I have to put in the consistent effort.
Going to go check out grocery situation. Don't need much this week end but would like fresh vegetables to steam.
Take care all,
Ginny in Ohio6 -
There seems to be high strangeness in the wifi world at my house this morning. Some posts from you ladies are not showing up on my tablet this morning but some are showing up on the laptop. And vice versa.
This is a test sent from tablet.

Are you posting in the current thread?1 -
Machka - THANK YOU! I was in January on this laptop. Not sure how I got in there since I was posting in February yesterday.
And here I thought it was a gremlin attack.

What threw me off was Terri commented on my wrong month post, lol.3
