A bit behind- will try and catch up tomorrow.
Did get to walk the wetlands, part of it anyways, in between storms.
6 days so far this week of exercise of the 5 Fitbit wants me to have.May get 7th day if I walk MIL's dog tomorrow.
Heading to bed to do another nebulizer treatment then get some sleep.
Tomorrow I need to finish pricing/bagging/packing all the 3D printed stuff for the sale on Sunday-

I couldn’t sleep last night, I was awake at 230 and then again at 530 and didn’t get back to sleep again. We had mock interviews today, even that had me nervous.
In saying that, I read very early this morning but didn’t take notes.
Heather - I had a lot of reading homework this week so I haven’t gotten further in your book. I think that’s my Sunday afternoon plan.
Rebecca - I’m so incredibly excited for you!
Lisa - Levi sure is sweet.
Allie - that’s cutting it close with your trip.
Sue - what a nightmare! Is her lease up soon?
Machka - that is a beautiful colouring. I used alcohol inks on the plantar card I made the other day. I love you you can get such different variations of the same colour with such subtle differences.
I love your cabin in the woods.
We had cats as kids, but I don’t remember their personalities. I have to laugh at all of the personalities of pets on here.
Finished another session today, that is 13 so far, plus First Aid/CPR, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention- Suicide and Self Harm Intervention- Orton Gillingham and a few other little classes within the sessions.
I figured out my average and it is 95.6%.
I made two 9X13 lasagnas today for Lauryn’s party. I also wrapped her gift. Rodger had to lift it onto the counter for me. I need to get some strength back.
I coloured my hair tonight, and was scared to take the towel off my head. I went to a discount store here instead of Walmart just because it’s closer and a smaller store so my foot wouldn’t get aggravated as much. Anyway, I bought a different brand than I normally do and when I was rinsing the water was black! It turned out a bit darker than normal but not by much. I certainly don’t like the conditioner in it though. It was Clairol, so I thought I would be safe.

I think John is going to get those pens for Valentines Day. I've been eyeing them for a few days. We often end up buying the things we like for the other person!
I have my favourite dark chocolate, cocoa dusted, truffles coming today, (he loves them, but I end up eating one a night, he eats two). The v posh thin ginger biscuits (cookies) I've ordered are only eaten by him.
I've painted his card already, so we are all set.
Machka - Your abstract looks very like the art that John does. Might be fun to try and draw out a complex 'colouring in' type picture. I'm sure you can do it!
Lots of rugby on the TV today for John. 'Six Nations' tournament. Ireland won last night over France. England is playing Italy this afternoon. I keep clear.
Love you all, Heather UK xxxxxxxx2 -
Heather - Up because I was sleepless, and have got nearly halfway through NOW I AM. Impressed. Thank you for writing it - explains some things for me from my upbringing, and much more about who you are. Very well written. Will definitely leave a review when I'm finished.
Love,

Heather: Love the author pic.
Allie: Congrats to Tracy.
Sue: I can relate to tenant problems. In the end we got rid of our rental as it was such a hassle.
Markers: I have so many from all sorts of places. I love the sheen of metallic gel for highlights.
I’m taking it easy today. I will go to the local shops then just put my feet up for a while. I’m enjoying the settled spell of weather. It feels like spring, but I won’t hold my breathe just yet. March has a habit of roaring in with a vengeance 😝
🤗🤗🤗 and 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 for those who need them.

Finally got going on my spring weeding, pruning planting etc. ... in the last month of summer! The last 8 months have been crazy! I spent about 3 hours out there.
And I've started doing another colouring using my ultra-fine Sharpies. It's a detailed Mandala.

Lisa this is something probably too basic for your gi issues, but yesterday a friend was telling me about castor oil packs. She uses them on her stomach and thinks it helps that area. I had always thought of castor oil internally and not for an external use that is absorbed in the system. Lots of info show ups when you google it.
Sue-your tenant does seem to be off the track. I hope she doesn't damage property before you can get her evicted. I imagine that is a lengthy process but sounds like it is needed.
Barbara AHMOD-hope they get you into the MRI soon. Should pain can come from many things.
Tracey-I doubt I would have the courage to color my own hair. There are some simple exercises to help back strength. You need to start slowly but it is all a part of maintaining a strong core.
Thought this week would never end! I am going to have to put in several hours this weekend since covering duties of others cut in to my stuff! But-I am final proofing pay raises for system entry Monday (need to put them in spreadsheet). In some ways that is easier to do from home-fewer interruptions on Saturday).
Physical Therapy continues. He told me to try increase walking to 2.5 miles to see how foot tolerates it. I had mentioned to him that I was used to taking 5 mile walks at times and hated being limited so much due to stupid foot. He enjoys walking and hiking and doesn't think it is an unreasonable goal. However, I will take the improvement I can get! It is like anything else, I have to put in the consistent effort.
Going to go check out grocery situation. Don't need much this week end but would like fresh vegetables to steam.
Take care all,

There seems to be high strangeness in the wifi world at my house this morning. Some posts from you ladies are not showing up on my tablet this morning but some are showing up on the laptop. And vice versa.
This is a test sent from tablet.

Are you posting in the current thread?1 -
Machka - THANK YOU! I was in January on this laptop. Not sure how I got in there since I was posting in February yesterday.
And here I thought it was a gremlin attack.

What threw me off was Terri commented on my wrong month post, lol.3 -
Wanted to share a something in Dr. Chatterjee's weekly email rec'd yesterday. Titled "Try my Five-step Release to ease Anxieties". Simple, practical steps to help tame the worry beast.Try my Five-step Release to ease anxieties. Sometimes we start the day anxious. Maybe there’s a work meeting or a social occasion in the diary that’s worrying you. Perhaps you’re not sure what the root cause is. Either way, negative feelings can often be relieved by getting your thoughts down on paper. Set yourself up for a calm day by working through the five points below.
1 One thing I’m anxious about
Identify the issue that’s most dominant in the swirl of thoughts going around your head.
2 One practical thing I can do to prepare for it
With day-to-day anxieties, being proactive and practical can really help. Planning how you’re going to get somewhere or thinking about possible conversational topics in advance can reduce feelings of worry.
3 One reason it’s not going to be as bad as I fear
Our minds naturally turn to worst-case scenarios to protect us, but it can make things seem worse than they are. Foster a more realistic view of your problem by refusing to catastrophize.
4 One reason I know I can handle it
Perspective is a great thing. Remember how you tackled a similar event – or a worse one – and got through it.
5 One upside of the situation
Find a positive to the problem that’s worrying you. Most dark clouds really do have a silver lining.
I thought it was timely yesterday. My own shoulder was grumpy from moving heavy cement blocks on Thursday, arthritic toes on my right foot swollen and painful just because. We had a nice break in the weather and I didn't feel up to doing anything - my neighbors were all out pruning and cleaning up their property.
Going through the steps above helped.
Today will be a better day.
Back later.

I had weird mfp things earlier this morning, but I'm OK now. Obviously a glitch somewhere.
My old passport arrived back today. Amazing! Last year they were quoting up to 10 weeks. I got my new one yesterday in 5 days! That includes sending them my old passport.
I was able to change our passport details on the Saga website for both cruises this year. Had to do them separately.
Thank you Lisa! Lanette Yes, as I grow older, I see more and more of my mother in me. It took me a long time to appreciate what she gave me. Sometimes it is so much part of who you are, you can't see it yourself.
I'm waiting to see if my friend L wants to chat about her holiday in Morocco with her choir group. Sometimes we need to decompress a bit. From what she said in a text I think she found the companionship of the other women very healing. She wrote a little poem about it and I will ask her if I can share it with you.
Rosemarie - I'm sure you will find your yoga course supportive and worthwhile.
Had a mini spat with John at breakfast. He went into his usual snit. Thankfully he's over it now. Grrrr! I do my best to ignore him, but it always gets to me a bit. All OK now.

Good morning ladies!
Finally some sunshine here! Yay!
I finally put "go to senior center" on the calendar. So my dad told me he was going, as if it was his idea! He drove, and he said he made some wrong turns getting there. But he saw someone from church and signed up for singing and a grief group. I am so pleased he has something to do.
Now I need to do something. Teddy needs a routine vet appointment but I'm delaying because of the cost. With the dental, it can be up to $1600. I heard a spot on the news where they were giving away dogs for 1$. That's so sad because the dogs get into homes that can't afford them or worse, got them without thinking it through.
Hugs for our caregivers. It's so hard to be eternally vigilant about what might happen. And no matter how much you plan, there are still surprises.
And kudos for our artists! You make the day brighter!
Have a great day!

Back home and feels so right. Missing my GD and family but am home with my girl, Ella. The quiet in my house feeds my soul. I'm maybe getting too used to my routines and comforts. What strikes me is I left Wasilla and the outside temp was -32* F.... When I got home early afternoon yesterday the outside temp was+51*. I really don't like the cold winters anymore. My joints are swollen and sore and I was only in the bitter cold two weeks. For a short time I entertained the idea of selling my home here in WA and moving to Alaska to be near family. Crazy thoughts and I know I don't want to live where I can't enjoy being outside everyday. I'm so glad I was able to go and help.... but I'm so happy to be back in NW WA.

What a wonderful complement that you think my writing is, "beautiful." Everyone has been so positive about my story that I am warmed. I truly means a lot to me that you all took the time to read it, like it, and say so. Thank you!
@skuehn48
Your tenant is nothing short of scary. As I read your post, I kept thinking that you were going to get hurt. Please be careful. Maybe you can call a constable or something if there is a next time that she blows up on you. Why can't people just be nice? I am ashamed to say, I haven't always been nice in my life, but I have learned how to be nice more often as I've grown older. I think all we can do as humans is learn and grow. Your tenant sounds like she hasn't got that lesson down yet.
@Machka9
Your coloring has interest and intricacy. I wonder what's behind the door and if will even open with all the flora around, lol. I don't have the patience to color like that anymore. I'm glad you are sharing your work with us. I can't wait to see the mandala. They are beautiful even uncolored.
@LisaInArkansas
Love your kitty cat. Here are a few photos of my feral sweetie, Trinket. She's been a handful, but I love her so much. I recently found a large, solid lump on her right shoulder. She is so feral that putting her in a carrier and taking her to the vet traumatizes her. The lump is so large that I know it's going to be fatal. I also know what the vet is going to say and do, not much. So, what too do...nothing, and let her live as long as she can, or take her in and put her through, who knows what? She's not in pain; I can touch in, and she's walking and jumping normally. I genuinely do not know what to do. So I've just been loving on her.

"We are only at a year and a half with MIL taking over our life and it is too much some times."
I'm so sorry you are dealing with this. It does seem like elderly parents are all consuming, and if they are difficult it can be so much worse. I feel that I'm just about to lose my final child responsibilities (8 kids later,) and here's my mom, just working on the nerves all the time. Her latest... She threw herself on the floor, with her pillow and blanket no less, and crawled to the living room where her mother was and laid on the floor for hours whining that she was going to die. This was just before my grandmother broke her hip, and she (my grandmother) was in a nervous snit by the time my cousin got home from work. Why neither of them made a phone call to my cousin or even 911is beyond me (if she can remember to bring her pillow, why not her phone?) I can only conclude that no calls were made because they both knew she was faking it. SMH
Just remember, the infirmed elderly can be just like children, only without the innocence. They want their adult power back; but that part of their life, total independence, may be over. You can do this, and it won't last forever. Something will crack, and everything will change. When my grandma broke her hip, my mom went a little more berserk. She's been swearing at my cousin that she should be at the hospital to help my grandmother, since she's broken her hip twice and can help. Really?! Anyway, there's more, there's always more. I'll just give you the best stories here, because you've got to just laugh at some of this garbage or you are going to cry. Take care of yourself; you need to make that number one.
More, maybe about me, later, lol.10 -

Are you going to be babysitting the new baby for the first year like you did Miles? If you are, take the opportunity to go on the cruise while you can.

GI went well as that is the only thing I have under control right now! Meds ordered and need to pick up later today. I was feeling really ‘yucky’ yesterday. Just grumpy, foggy, and sleepy. I felt lousy enough to wear a mask to doc office. Nothing catchy, my DH named it ‘just another OLD thing’, LOL. Better today, but not where I was a couple days ago. It’ll go away.
Extremely windy today with up to 60 MPH winds. Not sure I’m going to walk much in that!
Today IS: My fav: Carrot Cake day! I don’t get it very much though and don’t bake any more as I don’t have a good oven to use, but I can drool over the picture!

Spent the afternoon watching 'Nomadland', while John was in the other room watching the rugby. I love Frances McDormand. I thought she was sooooo good in 'Fargo'.
Having lamb and flageolets for dinner. It's all ready in the IP. Just got to cook the green beans to have with it.

Okie - I don't think so,Think she might be staying home after this one but who knows..
I have a to a feeling after the baby is born they will still send Miles to daycare at least for a bit until she recoups a bit. But again ,I haven't found out..
She doesn't go a regular OB until she is 12 weeks along, she has to go down about an hour away to IVF place until then to monitor..still has to do shots every other week and take pills and pre natals.. its alot..
Not for the weary.. Alfie is all excited to go to Uncle Toms and Auntie Elena's overnight..4 -
I guess I am jumping into the decluttering movement. I am a butterfly by the quiz.
I did a first pass through the guest room closet and got rid of the dress wool, the suits, the skirts and the white jeans. Yay!
It looks like I need to review the bedding in there. Mom had maybe six queen bedspreads, and other mysterious folded things. Too much.
Next is a trip to Goodwill.

Considering that I don't wear dresses anymore, and I can't imagine where I would ever wear a dress, how many of my favorites do I get to keep?

Kylia - Happiest of Birthdays!!
Sue - I'm praying your angry renter finds a new place and soon. Better if she quietly leaves on her own. Sounds like she has a lot of issues with her life in general and decided to take them out on you. Sorry what should have been a good thing and a way to make some $$ turned into this. Hope the next one is a lot better. From what you've said, it's a cute place.
Annie - you go girl! Doesn't it feel good to start decluttering? Your mom's closet is a good place to start. I need to go through my bedding again and thin it out. I received a couple fuzzy throws for Christmas - I already have a wardrobe stuffed full of various throws. The thrift store will get a load soon. Sorry about your pup's teeth, maybe the cost wouldn't be super high. It's a worry though, I know.
I no longer have any dresses or skirts! Since they'd involve dressy shoes and pantyhose or tights, I couldn't wait to donate them, lol. I have some nice black pants and a subdued top if I have to attend a funeral. Nice clothes are the hardest for me to let go of, especially when I need to keep them in a couple sizes.
Barbara - glad they'll get you in for an MRI on your shoulder, see what's cookin' there. I can't remember - did you do something to acutely injure it - fall on it, lift something super heavy? I think I mentioned before - my shoulder problem was "frozen shoulder". A painful, vigorous and bruising medical massage got me over the hump after a month of PT. Broke up the stuck tissue. Still hangs up at times but 95% better.
I've worn out my New Balance walking shoes after 5 months. I had a new pair on the shelf - inserted the orthotics and put them on. Toes much happier. I will make an appointment with the podiatrist on Monday and get his take on what's happening. Hopefully he'll just say "get new orthotics". The prosthetics and orthotics place now has an office in town, no long drive to Olympia in that crazy traffic. Grateful!
I pruned some of the apple trees by the chicken coop this morning. Wasn't chainsaw pruning but close. Lots of suckers I couldn't reach but I wanted to get the trees balanced out to keep them from tipping over. Both trees are starting to die, have a few years left in them to give shade to the chicken run and hopefully a few apples. I have several 2 x 4's I use as props when they start to put on fruit and foliage and become heavy.
Have a lot more jobs around here before summer hits, but they are manageable. One at a time, an hour or two at a time. Things don't seem overwhelming today, and I'm very grateful.
Now to find the lime and moss killer. Maybe hit part of the lawn and driveway today. If not, there's tomorrow.
