2 weeks ago I was able to bring my average daily calories down by about 200 per day without feeling overly hungry. To do that I switched to fruit, veggies, and sugar free pudding or jello for my snacks. I also added more veggies at lunchtime so I wouldn't feel hungry in the afternoons. This week I tried to do the same and saw good results again.
I'm going to try to continue that trend but I leave for Florida on the 20th for 8 days and expect to gain a bit while I'm away. I'm hopeful that it won't be to difficult to pick up where I left off when I get back.
Have a great week!

Joining in a week late since I was on vacation. I gained a bit of the weight I lost in January, but a week of over indulgence in food and drink on a cruise ship will do that to you! No regrets…just need to get back on track! Thanks for letting me join in.

Random stuff about me:I am 59 years old this month (ouch). I currently live in Texas with my hubby and crew of kitty babies. I am a neonatal nurse practitioner and work 24hour shifts in a busy NICU. If it looks like I disappear on random days…that’s why! About 10 years ago I lost 135 pounds. Never made it to goal but just sort of leveled off at ~200 pounds. Over time I gained back nearly 50. Working on getting back at least to my low weight of 200. I would like to eventually make it to 150 where I think I would be comfortable.8 -

Hello everyone!
My name is Jin and I'm a 37 y/o teacher. I'm back from being MIA for 2 years on myfitnesspal. The last time I was on this, I was 130 lbs. and younger. This challenge sounds great and motivating. A perfect time to start since I began Daniel Fasting beginning of this month, and just started going back to the gym this week. I'll add in my weigh-ins from previous weeks.
I'm a petite gal, I say I'm 5'0 but I'm actually 4'11 3/4 and shrinking. 🤣

Hi everyone! I've used MFP before but never really utilised the community before so hoping this helps! I'm a bit late but would love to join you all in the challenge 😁10

Hi everyone, I joined this group last week and this is my second post. I led a challenge of three month during the pandemic and lost 12 lbs. One of the things that helped the group the most was to post at least once a day sharing successes/wins, challenges and what are your grateful for today. Some of my challenges were the same as other members so we supported each other!
@RubyRed427 Thank you for starting this challenge! Were you in the challenge during the summer 2020?
Grateful- I had a wonderful phone call with my daughter!
Wins- I am logging my food everyday
Challenge- I am not able to workout because I have the flu
Does anyone would like to share as well?
Have a great weekend everyone!

Weigh in from this morning
Feb 5: 168.8 lbs
Feb 12: 165 lbs

Not surprised really, I haven't yet got the hang of not snacking when I feel like it, and somehow thinking it'll balance out eg. with my exercise. It doesn't.
Stopping snacking would be the greatest thing for me.4 -

Thinking a bit more about it, I find it really hard to "do a negative" i.e Not snack. So I need a positive to replace it, my suggestions are, drink water, or eat a carrot!!😀 Then at least I'm doing something ( I've tried the surfing the wave of hunger, ignoring it idea, it doesn't seen to work for me)
How does everyone else deal with snack urges?5 -

Here we go. Starting weight 205 (had a fun time in NYC though). Shooting for that 15 lb loss. Wouldn't be upset about more. I'll check in on Mondays.
02/05: 205. Let's get it!
02/12: 201. A fair bit of that was just not having all the vacation food in my guts. And losing all that salt related water weight.
02/19: 204. Kinda bounced off that 200# floor. I was right at 200 for a couple of days, then food happened. I've hit that stage in weight loss where my workouts are suffering. Lifting much less weight despite still going to the gym regularly. My joints ache. Had to do a bit of a refeed to feel better about the workouts, but it had consequences.

02/06-183.0-(Trend Weight: 183.2)-
02/13-182.0-(Trend Weight: 181.5)- Big jump on the scale after travel yesterday. I had a very good week so my weight was actually down by several pounds more until the travel day. Hopefully much of this is water weight. Great news at the endocrinologists office yesterday! My A1C diabetic testing showed such an improvement that he is releasing my diabetes care back to my family doctor! He says his job is to fix things and then send me back so that is what he is doing. So I feel so “fixed”!!!! All the changes are really making a difference. Getting some of the pounds off has really contributed too. I plan on keeping my diabetes at the forefront of my journey! He was extremely happy with my cholesterol (medication must be working) and he was not at all concerned with my kidney function that I was so worried about (the eGFR test) because my urine protein test looks very good. I am so relieved. I know I have a lot of health issues (so many more than what I’ve just mentioned) but it is such a relief to hear that I’m on the right track with changes I’ve been making in my lifestyle.
02/20-179.4-(Trend Weight: 180.6)- While I’m happy to have gotten back down into the 170’s, I must confess that I traveled today and I know the scale will be back up by several pounds tomorrow, more than likely. I will spend all week working to get my rightful place back into the 170’s so I can hopefully post another drop next week. It’s like chasing my own tail, but I chase I will. Hey, I can use the exercise, right?

Every year, going on 10 years, I make my OZ mate a snowman. Well I gave up on getting the right snow with all the rain, so I finished this masterpiece 💞 I even put makeup on to match the snowman. His lips are leftover frosting from the Valentine parties, my is Revlon, he's tastes better 🤣

Going to try find a scale today. Don't have one at our holiday rental. Don't really want to buy one so will go to Walmart and "try" one out. Won't be a true weight but will give me something to help me keep track.5
