After having a Chakra ‘reading’ at the heath fair, I’m reading a beginner’s guide on Chakra healing.
Also my body scan showing high fat so my coach recommended eating boiled chicken, lots & lots of boiled chicken. 🤢 I forgot to ask what he puts on his so my mayonnaise probably isn’t the best choice. 🤣
Back on track in Oregon

I know I haven't been checking in. I'm travelling these 2 weeks and so don't have access to a scale. I feel like my NSV of looking better is going well. Hopefully the scale doesn't yell at me when I get back on it.5

04/02-180.6-(Trend Weight: 180.9)- This is my weight about 36 hours after the all-you-can-eat Easter buffet dinner. One lb up which I can handle. Today I’ll push water and focus on eating properly. I’ll need to space my meals out so I don’t overdue any night time snacks. Plan, plan, plan.
04/09-182.2-(Trend Weight: 181.7)- I have a very serious injury to my foot. I was in the emergency room over the weekend ruling out blood clot etc. Still no specific answers but as a diabetic, any foot issue is pretty scary. My foot is still very swollen but the swelling is smaller in the morning after sleeping/resting so I grabbed my weight quickly before the swelling started back. It may not be 100% accurate but it’s the best I can do right now. I have to follow up with my family doctor as my bloodwork was wonky too. Hopefully some answers soon. Have a great week my friends. Spring is on its way!

Hi Everyone, I have not checked in in a long time.
I've had a scare at my physical last week. My EKG (ECG) was abnormal. This probably means there is something wrong with my heart. Nothing like that kind of news to scare you straight. I won't really know for a few weeks as I can't get in with the cardiologist until May 20. (Dr said this was OK so in a way that may mean it is not so bad? Fingers crossed).
I have eliminated all alcohol, permanently. Alcohol is terrible for your heart, just Google it. I have also done my research on heart healthy food and that is what I am eating. Fruit, veggies, lean protein, fish. Pretty much what you expect.
I am not focusing so much on the numbers on the scale anymore, though I do feel best around 150 or lower. I am currently at 155. I had been yo yo-ing but I have lost 3 lbs since seeing the Dr. last Friday.
Please send positive vibes my way. Thank you, everyone ! XO8 -
@SunnyDays930 so sorry for your medical issues

I'm doing ok. Not losing but not gaining that much. Cooking at home; minimizing alcohol calories and less snacking.
Still getting over 10,000 steps per day at work. Yesterday, I had 12,299 steps at work alone.
I do realize getting many steps at work is not the same as exercising. But I'll take it.
3 weeks until the challenge ends! Let's make these weeks positive and healthy!

04/16-182.4-(Trend Weight: 181.8)- I wanted to lose a total of 12 pounds this round. In February I was slightly better than my goal. In March I slipped which set me on a Path that I haven’t really found my way off of. This month is horrid. It is FILLED with travel which really hurts my bottom line for all the normal reasons (restaurant foods and sitting, sitting, sitting). Last week’s travel killed my progress and sent me spiraling backward and this upcoming week’s travel is even further, longer and worse. Let’s just hope I get a good report from the Cancer Center at the University Hospital as something suspicious is being reinvestigated later this week. It’s been a long 6 months waiting for them to re-test and compare. I am already a cancer patient in remission. I appreciate all the prayers.

02/12: 201. A fair bit of that was just not having all the vacation food in my guts. And losing all that salt related water weight.
02/19: 204. Kinda bounced off that 200# floor. I was right at 200 for a couple of days, then food happened. I've hit that stage in weight loss where my workouts are suffering. Lifting much less weight despite still going to the gym regularly. My joints ache. Had to do a bit of a refeed to feel better about the workouts, but it had consequences.
02/26: 199!!! Finally under that 200 mark. I fluttered between 196.5 and 199.5 over the last few days, so I'll take it!
03/04: 197. That's realistically about 4-5 pounds down in Feb. That's right on track. Pound a week is good stuff. I'd love to be down to 190 by my b-day in May.
03/11: 195. Killin' it. Although I'm expecting a small rebound from not being in the gym while I've had a cold.
03/18: 197. There's the bump I expected. No worries. Back at it.
03/25: 194. I was really good this week, but at least some of that is dehydration from the 2 glasses of wine I had before bed.

@Ginlee61 your weight loss is amazing! Bravo!
About 2 weeks ago, when I gave up alcohol, I decided to weigh myself every day instead of every few. I find this keeps me on track. I am slowly, slowly losing weight. I will go days without it going down, then it will go down a bit, then stay there for a few days. It is like my body is adjusting to the new number, then I will drop a bit again. I am encouraged that it has not gone up at all during this time. I am eating a heart healthy diet. Quinoa, veggies, fruit, fish, less red meat. You know the drill.

@bryantparson amazing results after all that TX food 👍
I'm home from Idaho after 9-days visiting family and friends. And they do like to eat and eat
While away, I didn't exercise or log meals and was shocked to see the gain of only 1lb.
Tomorrow it's back to the gym before all that laziness catches up with me 😂
Enjoyed reading everyone's post
Best wishes to ALL

Had to weigh in early this week and was pleasantly surprised to see this drop. I've been getting some additional exercise by working outside in the yard. That could have been a contributing factor.
Have a great week!

Great job! Going home to family is rough when you come from a "food is love" sort of family. Only gaining a pound in 9 days of that is incredible! You should be proud.
