This week’s plan is addressing my overeating. Since vacation, I’ve been indulging in extra calories especially at night. After researching, here’s my plan for resetting my healthier eating routine and digestive system.
First Relax. Don't beat myself up over a few week’s binge session. Manage my stress.
Plan my meals and control portion sizes. Eat slowly, taking small bites and chewing food thoroughly. Pay attention while eating avoid distractions.
Limit TV time and napping instead take a walk, do arts & craft, read, crochet …
Drink water, stay hydrated
Also up my consumption of prebiotic foods: apples, asparagus, dandelion greens, artichokes, garlic, leeks, onions, avocado, flaxseeds, oat and wheat bran. Luckily I have most of this on hand.
I’ll keep you updated on taming my feast beast 😵💫

Making progress for once!! In the past challenges, I did not.
What I did differently is cut alcohol out for five days and had simple meals like a bowl of soup and eggs for breakfast. (Calories reduced)

Started tracking again with MFP in January 2022.
My final goal weight is 145.
Highest weight as of 1/3/22: 230 lbs
Starting weight as of April 26 2024: 153.9
May 3: 155.6
May 6: 153.8
May 17: 153.8
May 23: 153.1
May 31: 151.3
Challenge Goal: 4 lbs (149.9)
Challenge Actual: -2.6
Memorial Day weekend at camp was a challenge and I ate way too much junk food. Having the grandsons also made it difficult to get my normal exercise.
I tried to make up for it during the week and perhaps I over did it. I couldn't believe my eyes when I stepped on the scale today. It's been many weeks since the last time I've lost this much in a single week.
Another new 15 year low as of this morning with 78.7 total pounds lost and only 6.3 more pounds to go until I reach my final goal! I'm being optimistic and increasing my goal for this round of the challenge by another 2 pounds.
On a side note, you may have heard that MFP is doing away with the Newsfeed by the end of June. I'm pretty bummed about it myself. I rely a lot on automatic progress updates in the Newsfeed to encourage myself and my friends and to share information. I noticed this morning that they seem to have already stopped pushing diary and weight loss updates to the feed. I guess challenges like this one are even more important now, so that we can continue to support and encourage each other.
Have a great week!

Thank you Ruby for doing this challenge.
Just home from a brief holiday where I visited many friends, and all except one are much thinner and fitter than I am. Became very aware of being ‘heavy’, esp for my 5’1”.
I’m so happy I found this challenge group. Sorry I'm late joining but need an 'official' restart point.
These past months have been disasterous; weight has crept up, struggling with arthritic issues in ankle and foot preventing me from nature walks which is a favorite exercise. I've fallen into the rut of been looking back, missing recreation options of 'where we used to live'. I have to start looking forward and building new habits, using home equip and build a routine.
Present weight is 177ish, goals are to lose in 5# increments to 155, but to shed 30 pounds would be heavenly. I'm a senior who still works part time. Some days it's a struggle, fatigue becomes an issue, but the rewards of assisting and helping older seniors outweigh the negatives. I'd be quite lost without this contact.
Late starting this Challenge so dates adjusted to Fridays.

Things are going good. By altering my sodium intake and a few nights of not snaking my energy and mood is improving. It’s also impressive seeing how fast and the #’s on the scale are changing. ~~Happy DANCING~~~ at my house
Today, I rebounded, went to the gym, and mowed the lawn ✅ The weather is perfect so after lunch I’ll walk to get the mail and visit the canyon.
👋
@Lynn__W sorry to hear your beloved walking is needing to be changed up. Please keep up updated on your new routine.
@lislisa123 Congratulation on your May victories 🏆

So a net loss of a lb in a little over a month.
I continue to eat fewer carbs, no alcohol, and eat lots of fruits and veggies. I am struggling to eat fewer sweets. I have been craving them since I stopped drinking alcohol. My body misses it's wine sugar. My husband and I are splitting meals when eating out and that is helping. Even a half size is larger than what I would eat at home. The portion size in American restaurants are just crazy big!
June goals: lose 3.4 lbs and keep it off. Stop yo yo-ing.
Drink more water.
Try to be at peace and have gratitude, no matter what I weigh.

My husband and I are retired, however...we watch our Grandsons during the week. Collin is 18 months and is our Morning Duty. Ronan is in 2nd Grade and is our Afternoon Duty.
I see my trainer for 60 mins three days a week and try to walk the other four days. The walking doesn't always work out. The boys can be exhausting...

Hi, My name’s Darin and I live in Holly Springs NC with my husband and two cats. I have a mini-family reunion in July which is part-pool party, so I want to feel a bit better about myself by then. I think 10 pounds down would be super! I’m going to weigh in on Wednesdays.

A good week in terms of net calories, although not great in terms of exercise as I was feeling a little off my game. Made a bit of downward progress anyway.
