..I had a very rich dinner last night and this is when you know cant really eat heavy..
I had a hot buttered lobster roll and some salad..no dressing..but there was just to much butter and I had water to drink
Had a small piece of chocolate cake.
Honestly I can't eat that stuff anymore.

Jake's daughter and husband and 15 year old son are here for a short visit. They are staying in an Airbnb so we don't have to do much to entertain them. They are delightful guests and we're glad they are here. The other son is staying with his uncle in Oregon.

Do you follow a kidney disease diet?

Not sure if this qualifies as a proper diet, but had home made won ton soup with veggies in it, onion, carrots, celery, and left over pork in it. With a sandwich of left over ham slices and mustard on honey wheat bread. Snacks were 1 cup cantaloupe with 1 apricot, grapes with 5 macadamia nuts. Supper was a chicken thigh that DH stuffed with honey wheat bread, celery, onions, and his seasonings, roasted together with 1/2 potato. 5 calories over my allotted. Not too bad! Weigh in tomorrow but sneak peak have me 2 more pounds down from last week!! I’m proud of me!!

Today is waffle iron day! I have a Darth Vader one, and an Avenger’s one, and a small one at a time normal one. DH and I found the creature ones for something like $5 on sale some where and thought they would be fun. He makes the best waffles! I’ll have to have him make me some! I’ll use my camera and post here when/if he makes them.

Hi everyone
I am new to this group and live in Oregon
I have 4 grown beautiful daughters and just found out I am going to be a grandma again
This will be #12
I just finished a survival camp adventure in the wilderness, kind of like naked and afraid but not naked. Lol
It has motivated me to get in shape to do the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada

Last night I watched the Celine Dion bio pic and was dreaming of her all night!
Having learnt my lesson, I watched The Zone of Interest this afternoon, so my brain has a chance to debrief before bedtime!
Both were excellent.
Just about to start making my baked cod dinner. Nothing on TV tonight, as it's football, Glastonbury etc, but I recorded some Poirots this afternoon, so will watch those. Pollen very high. I can feel it in my sinuses. Weather heavy.
I'm reading Burning Man, a biography of DH Lawrence, but it's slow going. When I was young, I used to love Lawrence, and wrote my undergraduate thesis on him. Haven't read him for years.
Barbie - glad you have easy guests. I prefer to stay independently these days. Lovely for Jake to see them.
Love Heather UK xxxxxxxx

Rita - Well done on the two pounds, I know you've been sticking to your guns religiously these last few weeks. Hope it continues to show up in the test results, as well. You're going so well!
@Blueyedgyrl69 in Oregon, and @sista67 Susan in NH - welcome! Tomorrow evening, Pacific Time, Barbie will publish a link for the new July thread. Make sure to look for it here and come with us to a new month, clean slate! Glad you're here, it's a great group for support across all the aspects of our lives, as we all work toward getting and staying healthy.
Cooling down in the A/C for a bit. Stayed outside with Corey while he trimmed a few branches off a tree that threatens the house, and let him make the decision for me to call someone who can take it down safely. Smart boy. I got sweaty just sitting out there talking to him. Yuk. I do not like getting sweaty unless it's my idea. The cooling towels and band were quite helpful in keeping me comfortable, though.
Anyway... got the next step done on the quilt, not far to go now. At least that's what I'm telling myself anyway.
Later,
Love,

Lisa, I love and appreciate how you welcome people and tell them about plans for the thread for the new month and how it will be a clean slate. I read your adventures with admiration. You don't let stuff get you down. I have been reading a book with a lead character who reminds me of you. She lives in Texas and uses some of the same colorful language that you do and is unstoppable even in tough times. There may be only a few similarities, but as I read, I think of you and how much I admire you. Thanks for being in my life.
Annie went on the longest walk of her young life and it was delightful. We met people and dogs and walked in places she hasn't walked before. The weather is glorious---sunny and about 55 degrees. When we got home, Jake and Bessie came outside and we played "throw the orange ball" for half an hour.

You should be so proud of yourself! Great choices, and portion control!💖👍🏼
Your weight loss is just the side effect of good food management.🤗👍🏼

Barbie - I am deeply touched. What a lovely thing for you to say! It's hard to explain how Texan I truly am, but if someone meets a Texan or hears one talk, or finds a similar character, it's instant recognition. I'm a product of my making, as are we all. Hard to explain, too, just how badly I needed to hear today that my journey has a reason other than simply trying to survive this path.
I thought of you this morning when I read this quote: "Do not let the behavior of others destroy your inner peace." — from the current Dalai Lama. You are better at that than most, and that inner peace of yours shows in every post. Thank you for your words, and for being here for me and for all of us, my dear woman. I cherish your presence in my life.

Back from going out with my son Dan we picked up his new glasses and went out to lunch at Chili's for my Birthday.
I had a small house salad,a few bites, 1/2 a cheeseburger 🍔 and a couple bites of corn on the cob and unsweetened tea to drink.
Brought the rest home..
Was nice to be out with Dan8 -
Overslept again last night. I’ve been having an active rest day. I think all my busyness is just catching up with me 😜
Did my usual local shop before lunch. I like to get fresh artisan bread for our weekend lunches.
🤗🤗🤗 and 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 for those who need them.

Hi Gals,
Kylia – good job!
Tracey – congratulations
Allie – those are scary numbers. Does the kidney Dr. and your regular Dr consult about what they are prescribing? And I am surprised that they are not recommending a kidney healthy diet. Take care!
Heather – what is MDF under the carpet?
Rita and Margaret – awesome jobs on taking care of your health via diet and exercise instead of dependence first on medications. It is so great to hear that that can work with commitment, not that I do not believe in medications but it is great to hear of dietary steps that can make a difference too.
I took a play day yesterday, drove to a friends, hopped in her truck with was pre-loaded with her kayaks and went and kayaked at a reservoir near her. Had a picnic on the shore, and kayaked some more then went back to her house spent the night and home this morning. It was just 29 hours away but such a complete change in activity and scenery I feel like I took a week of vacation.
Thinking of you all,

Congratulations on losing weight!
But I am surprised your kidney specialist hasn't put you on a renal diet ... low salt, low potassium, low phosphorus, low protein.
