    I so agree that this journey is for a life time..I also think the mind has be brought in to the diet. I have a work book that I work in every day and probing questions to answer. Journaling is key ..,and affirmations to say each day… there are so many negative thoughts going through my mind that need confronting…self discovery. “Our bodies are fearfully and wonderfully made” Psalms 139… Another quote

    I am very interested in the workbook. I think I'm going to try to saturate myself with positivity and see if that doesn't help! I love that verse in Psalms! I find your story so inspiring!

    Also, those comments, yikes! Not nice!

    Is be tempted to "I'm working on becoming healthier and thinner. Are you working on becoming kinder?" . . . or similar.

    Mine is the opposite, for months, I was loosing weight in the sale, and I was tightening my belt a bit more, but the pants fit the same. It was weird.

    Envious of the first one, weight makes no difference in my case!

    The second one is a sign of calorie restriction. Probably will speed up again after the weight-loss fase is over and you transition to maintenance.

    Netta, truly wonderful and life changing. I started at 56. A little Lycra and nobody except you knows or cares. It’s not like I’m butt naked parading it to all and sundry. 😅

    Lycra/Spandex is wonderful stuff.

    I love leggings that are high waisted and hold in the paninis (which is slowly decreasing- I suspect in part because of the near constant light compression)
    I also recommend some sleeves meant for uv/sunburn protection. Amazon has a wide range of them. Search for “cool shawl arm covers” or “arm sleeves” or anti-sun cooling arm sleeves”

    They’re inexpensive and do an excellent job of covering up the bingo wings.
    And they really do help prevent sunburn.
    Handy on a cool day for adding a little warmth without bulk, too.

    Not my phrase. It’s what I’ve heard those flappy hanging upper arm flaps called for decades.

    I do love it, though. It’s so expressive.

    Long long ago I took some exercise classes where the instructor called them that, and advised laying on your back and doing a sort of hatchet chop movement with a light weight (three pounds tops) to firm up the triceps. But of course that’s not gonna do much for the skin.

    Anyway. I really do love those “shawl” thingies. They lightly compress, and do an amazing job of covering them up.
