Hi everyone,
Back for another run at this. (7/18). I was doing this challenge last summer and enjoyed some success with support from the MFP community. I met a few great people who helped me stay focused on my weight loss journey. Good luck to all of you on your own journey.

* Just realised I hit my goal for July! Will revise and aim to be at 82kg by the end of July. Slowly but surely it is starting to go down! It is so much harder to lose weight in menopause ๐ญ. Before if I was โonlyโ lost 2kg in a month I would be so disheartened! Now though I am just glad to see the scales go down instead of up!!!

This week I focused staying within my caloric range - did ok on 5/7 days. Also Increased some activity.

I'm Chris - 74 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion...
...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
My husband and I are retired.
I see my trainer for 60 mins three days a week and try to walk the other four days. The walking doesn't always work out.

June was a tough month. I felt off track and over the last couple of weeks, I was eating and exercising in maintenance. I'm really pushing to get back on track in July. I have a vacation coming up at the end of August and hope to finally get back in the 100 club. It's been a while!

Ultimate goal: Stay in maintenance range between (absolutely 140 - 153 and ideally 142-148)
I report scale weight and (ten day average weight), and I post on Saturdays.

July 13 16: 153.2 (10-day average 154.5) - away from scale on Saturday

Total loss for July: 2.5 pounds.
Another good week. Maybe I'm back on track! I am down 4.1 pounds for the year. This isn't great, but at least I'm moving in the right direction again.

07/21-188.0-(Trend Weight: 188.5)- I made more progress through the week but managed to sabotage it yesterday eating lunch while out-of-town and eating too many snacks last night. Still down a tad from last week but feel like Iโm dog paddling when I could be doing breast strokes.
07/28-189.2-(Trend Weight: 189.5)- Its been a horrible week weight-wise. A little travel and a lot of lack of willpower at home. Something needs to change. Itโs something in my mentality. Iโm burned out I think and Iโve got to figure this out. More travel tomorrow, several hours each way to medical appointment. Dinner will be out. That just doesnโt help although honestly Iโm looking forward to it. This year I have lost some weight in Jan, Feb and May. The other 4 months have been Epic Fails. I know I can do better. I also know that itโs not the occasional travels, outing or occasions that are getting me. Itโs my daily habits at home. Usually those are spot on and easily make up for the social days. Not lately! Iโve got to get back in the groove. My final weigh-in will be in 3 days on the last day of July for a full accounting of the month.

Hello Everyone,
I noticed that I do better when I keep busy. I made a list of some chores I wanted to tackle this week. I scheduled a task for each day, and focused on getting it done. My hands and mind were occupied, so I wasn't tempted to eat (as much). I also made sure I drank lots of water throughout the week. Hope you all enjoying success toward meeting your health goals.

Full disclosure we have been traveling nonstop for the last few months and it has been challenging to maintain much less lose. I am very happy that I was able to make good choices, drink lots of water and exercise regularly which helped balance out the treats. Now that we are home for a while I really want to drop those last few pounds and maintain. Iโve lost 55 lbs so far, I know I can do this!4 -
