@AmunahSki I don't know how I missed responding to your question earlier. It is the lap/segment button that I push...am supposed to push. I wish it would just go from warm up to the drills, but it doesn't. More times than not, I'll hit the stop button instead and notice it AFTER I did the first drill. Yesterday, I did hit the segment button, but it wasn't registering a cadence, so I thought I had hit stop, hit stop to start and it did stop it, so it was all messed up. LOL
@Laurz9191 I'm glad you recovered from yesterday's hot run. Congrats on reaching 200 miles! Enjoy the obstacle course tomorrow. I'm with you with not having any upper body strength, hence one of the reasons I am going to the gym. You're going to do great!

I went to the gym this morning. My workout was a lot of legs, including pulling the tire up the hill by the gym 3 times. That works on my legs and gets my HR up.
After I got home, I went ahead and did a easy driveway wun. It was already hot and I didn't feel like running the hills after the gym workout.5 -
No running. I’m on summer vacation and am either doing nothing or walking up tiny volcanoes 😅7

The first run at home after several on the hills felt so much easier today! Still hot but a few degrees makes a difference along with the lack of hills! I decided it's time to start transitioning back to continuous running ahead of picking up a training plan. I did the entire run without walk breaks at a very easy pace and I felt good. It was reassuring to see that my fitness held up throughout the summer with very little continuous running.
I need to start planning out my fall so I can decide when to start a training cycle. I don't currently have an A race on my calendar but I have a weekend in March that I will shoot for as a target for that.5 -

Well I am not going to make 1K miles to date for the year but I will make 990 so that is close. 🤷♀️ The good news is that my walking miles and tennis activity is increased so even if my running is not as prolific the workouts are still happening.

The plan called for a 31 minute 3 mile HM pace run. Hal's pace was 9:55-10:30 min per mile. I think that is a little slower than I want if I want to beat my current HM PR of 2:07. I ran 3.15 miles in 31 minutes and had a pace of 9:55. So Hal was happy and I had a good run and ended August with 148 miles. I could go for 2 miles tomorrow to round it up to 150, but I think I will take my scheduled rest day. I need new shoes and my feet could use a rest.

August is done and I only made it to 153.5 out of my 200k goal. It was always going to be a challenge as the past few months have risen slowly from 160 to 175. This month I lost about 36km to tooth implant and niggly back, with the niggly back preventing me pushing for that extra 10k too.
No matter, onwards and upwards - I’ll start again tomorrow.
Everyone else seems to have smashed it this month - I’m looking at you @AmunahSki @tarun_yadavA, @Laurz9191, @WarmJellyfish and @quilteryoyo!
Keep up the good work and I’ll see you in September (when it’s officially spring!).7 -

Found it difficult to find my Race pace intervals. I can't seem to judge pace, it's either super slow, or super fast. So all my speed intervals were on the fast side (except one interval were I lost track and thought I was on a recovery split when it was really a speed split)
For all my hard work Garmin gives me an execution score of 2/100!! Gee, thanks for the motivation coach! 🙄

WOW! Some super accomplishments this month. I have to say reading about them is very motivating to me. I am glad my Apple watch does not haze me about my workouts. LOL.
finished up with 130.8 for the month out of 100 goal. But the good news is that overall it was my best month mileage wize with deliberate walking and running at 195 miles.

That sounds like a tough run @Scott6255 ! I think 2/100 is ridiculous. Maybe he meant 102/100, but just couldn't figure out how to give you more than 100%. Losing track and thinking it was recovery when it was a speed interval sounds like something I would do.

My workout this morning was a magic half mile. 10 min warm up, 1.5 mile run, 0.5 mile fast/not sprint, 10 min cool down. I walked the first 0.39 miles (6ish min) then wun the rest of warm up and the 1.5 miles. I was disappointed that the plan didn't split out the half mile as a segment, so had to figure it out myself. It was tough, and I'll admit, mostly down hill, but my avg pace for that segment was 10:34 min/mile. That's pretty good for me. I really didn't have much left in the tank by then, so I walked the rest of the 3.5 miles.
Pleased that I exceeded my goal by 10.5 miles. It helps that I ran my birthday runs. See you all in Sept.
Oh, I almost forgot. I got a AcuRite weather station as a gift that I finally got set up yesterday. I often wonder where Garmin thinks I am with it's temps and weather conditions. Now I can tell what it is in my back yard. Today, at the beginning of the run it was 70F (21.2C) and 97% humidity. When I finished, it was 75F (23.9C) and 88%. That humidity made it hard to breathe. For comparison, Garmin says 75F and 74% humidity.
Also, I did 29h42m25s of other exercise - gym, tennis, and mowing.8 -
@Scott6255 2/100 is harsh! Hitting the paces is hard when you haven't done it in a while. Your legs will figure out what what those paces feel like soon enough.

Finished the month with a 4 mile run on the treadmill this evening after visiting Ephesus Turkey today. Not sure of my mileage for the month but I surpassed my meager 60 mile goal before leaving for vacation. Thanks for setting up September @AlphaHowls! Long run at the Greenway trail today. It was a quiet morning at the trail because it was misty but I didn't mind. Makes for a peaceful run.
Made my goal for August. Gotta figure out my plans for next month.
We took my kid out for a birthday dinner last night. Their birthday is later this week. They chose poke and frozen yogurt. I haven't had poke in a while and it was really good! We are doing my bday dinner tonight and I chose a Latin place that recently opened. It's usually pretty busy and the menu looks good. I think it'll be pretty tasty.6 -

Hi All! I looked up all my runs and walks on Garmin for the month of August and totaled them. I made it to 33.2/40 miles for the month. Was hoping for a strong finish, but the trip to the dermatologist this past early morning Wednesday resulted in the removal of a dark brown spot that she called “suspicious” and something she’s concerned about off my left thigh. As a result I haven’t been distance walking/running these last few days. I was signed up to do a 4-mile women’s race that happened this morning but didn’t go since I’m not able to do that much right now while the thigh area heals. It’s still quite painful right now and still oozing. Waiting for biopsy results. Hopefully will know more before the end of next week.

Hi everyone! I finished my last run! They went well but I am taking a day or two off to start September!!!
My upper body strength definitely failed me in the race today, so the training I did last year did help! My right knee got pretty banged up by a wooden wall near the end of my race, but other than being swollen doesn’t hurt.
@Scott6255 2/100! A new record . We will do our best to motivate you if Garmin doesn’t .
